Kimchi Scramble (my typo on the photo. Oops!) - - - 9/23/2025

Cozy cute little Breakfast and Brunch spot on Orchard Street in the Lower Eastside area. Very yummy delicious choices. I am a fan of the Kimchi Scramble eggs. I would love to figure out how they get the scramble eggs so perfectly rounded and swirly! :) Gaining popularity of late it can get rather crowded and busy on the weekends. Thus, reservations are strongly suggested. They also serve Green Juice, Organic wines, delicious coffees, cappuccinos, teas and smoothies to drink. **Open Daily - 8AM to 4PM ** Thank you!

Absolutely loved good thanks cafe!! The ambience is so cozy, warm and staffs are welcoming. The banana bread is a must, hands down the best banana bread I've ever had and the butter that comes with it is pure perfection. Their avocado toast with egg is also delicious. It's a little on the pricey side but the portion is generous and the egg is cooked perfectly. I'll definitely be back for more!!

Service: 4.2/5 Food: 4.5/5 Price: $$ ($20-30) Simple, clean aesthetic with classic Australian brunch vibes- chatter + music in the background. A bustling café with decent turnover, so no wait for a solo diner on an early Saturday afternoon. Good for groups not in a rush, as I think others had to wait a few minutes, + the food does take a little while to come out. Fairly clean bathroom, unfortunately, there's only one. Double check your bill, some items might have updated prices. What I Ordered: - Green Juice: refreshing, a lot of sediment at the bottom - Kimchi Scramble: kimchi indeed a little spicy, good balance with the labna, perfect soft scrambled eggs - Salad that came with the scramble: did not care for it, not an arugula person

Great ambiance, great service, and like the idea behind this curry scramble but needed more seasoning

It was excellent, fresh, healthy and flavorful. I had the kale salad, my daughters had egg dishes, good coffee and matcha lattes. The server was lovely and patient with a good sense of humor. Very close to our hotel and I'm very likely to pop back in my next visit to NY.

Saw good reviews came here to give it a try. I have to say I loved my chicken sandwich and my fries. That I would give a 5 star. The pork sandwich was a little bit plain. The kimchi eggs are done well. Honestly very simple menu but it was done very well.

((4.25 stars)) a friendly warm Aussie cafe planted on Orchard Street on the Lower East Side is Good Thanks Cafe. clean, brightly lit, casual interior that is well maintained. there is a good amount off seating for pairs or groups looking to sit, eat, and have a conversations. even on a sleep weekday morning, Good Thanks Cafe was fairly busy with people enjoying the eats and drinks, here. stopped in here to grab a coffee...thought this cafe offers a coffee and tea menu...this is very much a cafe (it is not a coffee shop pretending to be a cafe). the draw really is the food menu and the friendly vibes. the coffee that i got was solidly good, but the real experience is having breakfast, brunch, or lunch with friends and/or family. the service is friendly. would definitely head here when i looking to enjoy eats with a group in a casual ambiance.

This place was recommended by a friend to try while I am in NYC. I'll be brief, the food was great, the coffee drinks were delicious, and the banana bread was excellent. The location was also clean and well lit. The only reason that this place won't get 5 stars is because their service wasn't the greatest. I went on a Wednesday morning which was not busy, but besides sitting us down and taking our order we were not checked on once. So, it's a great place to try because of the food, but the service was not great, maybe you have a different experience. A smile goes a long way.

    Broccolini Farro Bowl

Good Thanks Cafe caught my eye because of the swirly scrambled eggs which looked so asethetic. After eating my way through NY for almost a week, I needed something healthy-ish. Many reviewers recommended the broccolini farro bowl which looked promising. I arrived around 9am on a Saturday and there were still some open tables. When 9:30-10am rolled around, there was a line out the door. I was tempted to order the eggs but I went with the broccolini farro bowl instead. This dish looked so simple but it was absolutely delicious! It was packed with flavor with a hint of spice and umami flavors. It was topped fried onions and an avocado salsa verde. I should have ordered an extra poached egg but regardless, this dish exceeded my expectations. I was on a solo trip so I couldn't try more dishes but I would love to return to try the others!

Nice spot for quick bite and drinks! Espresso Martini was delicious. Try the banana bread with honey butter you won't be disappointed. Victoria was very accommodating.

We stumbled upon this café when we couldn't get a seat elsewhere. But this was the best find! I think it's best to make a reservation because although we usually walk in, they get very busy and it's hard to say whether you'll get a table right away. Service is good and food comes out fast. Everything on the menu is delicious, but I especially love the harissa eggs. Most of the dishes come with their amazing sourdough.

Stopped by Good Thanks Café on a rainy morning--partly because it was close to our hotel, but also because we'd eaten here once before and had a great experience. Happy to say it still holds up! I had the açaí bowl and it was perfect--refreshing, not overly sweet, and beautifully topped. Exactly what I was craving. My husband went for the poached eggs and added bacon and avocado (heads up: they're $5 each as add-ons). The eggs came out a bit tough--not the runny texture you hope for with poached--but he still ate and enjoyed them. When the server asked how everything was, he mentioned it. To their credit, they immediately offered to bring out another order, which we appreciated even though we declined. A thoughtful response. Despite all the tables being full, the space didn't feel cramped. There's a calm openness to the layout, and the ambiance is relaxed and welcoming. It's a lovely little spot to start your day, rain or shine. Would definitely come back--especially for that açaí bowl.

Came here on a Saturday morning before setting up shop to grab a sit down breakfast with my friend. The staff was quick to greet us and attend us. Started off with a vanilla latte, my friend got a black sesame Matcha both were rich and creamy. We both ordered the two eggs and toast on sourdough. I asked for salt, pepper & ketchup before I got my order but didn't really need it because the eggs were well seasoned. They were fluffy, warm & perfectly made. I give this spot a 5 stars because the staff was kind, location was great, seating was available l, the breakfast was a good, they had gluten free options and no long wait.

    Is there usually a line-up?

All depends on day and time, I have been there a couple of times, and did not have to wait, but once I was alone and the 2nd time there were only 2 of us both times I got there a bit later in the day.

However, the place did not live up to them. The space was sleek and cozy with a grown up vibe. I ordered the Steak Frites with Truffle Fries (which cost an additional few dollars). The Steak was sliced and served with chimichurri sauce. The sauce was decent with plenty of savory spices and seasoning. Steak was not good... Grisly, fatty, and not at all tender. At least the Truffle Fries were perfectly crispy and full of true truffle taste. For dessert, I had to get the Sticky Date Pudding with ice cream and salted toffee sauce. This slightly redeemed the establishment, as the Sticky Date Pudding was delectable. The dessert was satisfyingly sticky, delightfully sweet, with a wonderful density and texture. Ice cream added a lovely smooth creaminess, while the toffee was melt in your mouth delicious. Service was decent. Prices were a little expensive, but standard for the Midtown area. Since I was not happy with the main course, I would not return.

This was my first time dining at the East Village location. The interior design is stylish, and the atmosphere is nice, but the ventilation is a major issue. The range hood is far too weak, and the entire restaurant was filled with smoke from the burger grills, making the dining experience uncomfortable. One issue we had was that my first Bronte Burger was overcooked instead of the medium I ordered. To their credit, the staff replaced it promptly, and the second one was cooked correctly. The biggest disappointment, however, was the tip calculation on the receipt. The suggested 20% tip clearly does not match 20% of the total bill. How is that number being calculated? It feels misleading and makes it seem like customers are being overcharged on the suggested gratuity. That's simply unacceptable and really leaves a bad impression. The food is still excellent, but the ventilation and the questionable tip calculation seriously need to be addressed.
