[[HIGHLIGHT]]Spacious interior. A bit quirky with lots of different tables and seat styles.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] [[HIGHLIGHT]]I'd say almost 95% of people sitting inside were working on laptops. This could be a turnoff if you expected to come here and eat at a table.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] [[HIGHLIGHT]]They do have a few tables outside as well.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] I came for the viral whipped honey latte. I thought about trying the breakfast burrito but wasn't up for spending $17 today. Treated myself to a chocolate chip cookie instead for $5. Enjoyed the cookie! The latte was good but I wasn't blown away. It felt like I was drinking a regular latte with honey flavored marshmallow fluff on top. I tried mixing the fluff with the hope the honey flavor would get into the latte but it didn't help much. Luckily it didn't cost an outrageous amount, about $8+ iced.

What I really enjoyed was the customer service. Very friendly and gave me some information on each pastry and one of the Peruvian drinks made in house. Those little touches I think make a great experience when someone is trying to make decisions on the menu. Looking forward to returning! Accepts cash, card and Applepay. Review for the whipped matcha latte that's kind of going viral. [[HIGHLIGHT]]The space is huge, and obviously is a destination brunch spot in a quiet part of the west village.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] It was busy when I came by over the summer. The whipped matcha latte was on the tasty side; they actually used quality matcha that was tasty on its own. The whipped topping was denser than you might think, nicely sweet and when mixed with the matcha complemented really well. I could see why people really enjoy it and definitely think it's worth trying. I would love to come back to try some of their food. The barista was helpful and informative. [[HIGHLIGHT]]The space is classic American and modern/hip.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] [[HIGHLIGHT]]It was so lively and would definitely love to stop by on a weekend when you want to just be around people, but also good for small groups.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] [[HIGHLIGHT]]It's not necessarily a quiet place though but not super loud by any means.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]]
I love this cafe so much! Their honey whip is so unique and adds the perfect amount of sweetness to any drink. I've personally only tried the matcha with honey whip, but it's the perfect pairing. I've also tried their chocolate chip cookie, which is so huge and delicious. [[HIGHLIGHT]]The tables are a little cramped inside so I don't think it's a great place to stay for a long time to do work[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] but [[HIGHLIGHT]]it's nice to hang out in for a little bit and catch up with friends.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] Definitely always recommending this one to others and would love to try their food next time!

SERVICE - located in the west village near the waterfront - spacious interior with seating at tables and couches - tables were quite close together which made it a bit awkward to maneuver when getting orders from the counter - servers were polite - drinks made quickly - free WiFi and limited outlets - restrooms available for customers - ambiance good for casual meetups or for working away from home MENU - cafe drinks and brunch food options - vegan/vegetarian options - average price FOOD - house chai (5/10): I got this with oat milk and no sweetener. Unfortunately I was not wowed by the drink. I did not taste the chai flavor or any of the spices except cinnamon. The milk also felt watered down. Because of both of these the drink tasted more like a horchata than a chai. - vegan carrot muffin (7/10): carrot muffin topped with pumpkin seeds. This was a yummy bakery treat. It is soft and moist and slightly sticky while not being overly sweet. I loved seeing the big shreds of carrot inside. If they can warm it that would set it to an entirely different level. WOULD I GO BACK? Yes! I want to try their viral honey latte.

[[HIGHLIGHT]]Came here on the last day of FIFA World Cup and the ambiance was cute between bar and cafe.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] The service was friendly and nice but I came here to try the highly rated Honey Whipped Latte and boy was I surprisingly disappointed. There wasn't really a WOW factor and the flavors felt like independent components. The whipped honey was close to a marshmallow fluff texture. I was close to throwing it out but it cost like $9 so I dragged out the drink which the whipped honey melted with the coffee and made it more palatable but still not something I will try again. Also as a FYI.... I asked for light ice and they charged 50 cents for it. I did try as well the Sea Salt Chocolate Chip Cookie and Cranberry Pecan Cookie. The Cranberry Pecan felt like a shortbreak and chocolate chip cookie was soft and melty.

Highly motivated to get work done on a Wednesday while simultaneously enjoying the beautiful warm weather, we bookmarked Hungry Llama and arrived bright and early to get our day started. Pros: [[HIGHLIGHT]]the coffee shop is spacious, and the environment is like no other. It's quirky, it's open, you get a nice breeze with the entirety of the front open to the store. There's even board games available if you wanted to occupy yourself, and yes, it is decorated with llamas throughout.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] [[HIGHLIGHT]]At first glance this truly was the most perfect remote working location.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] Cons: [[HIGHLIGHT]]We arrived a mere 30 minutes after their opening time, and the establishment was crowded. Tables got full quickly since many people had the same idea as we did, so definitely plan on coming early to secure your spot.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] We ordered beverages and got right to work, laptops open, until -- we realized the internet did not work. We restarted our devises, connected/re-connected, my friend and I both had error messages. Upon asking staff, this apparently is a common occurrence and we were told to "just keep trying, it'll eventually work!" After many attempts and a decent duration of time just sitting around, the internet finally connected. Not long after another patron seated next to us had the same exact problem, asking us for assistance -- so this definitely is a frequent issue and should be taken into account if you came here solely to get work done. I ordered the whipped honey latte and it was a decent coffee -- the oat milk was creamy, coffee was alright, but I didn't know what to expect when they said whipped honey. My latte came with a thick layer of whipped topping that almost resembled marshmallow -- something that overpowered my drink and made it difficult to reach the actual coffee on the bottom of the cup. The drink definitely was pretty though! [[HIGHLIGHT]]Overall, come for the space and ambiance, but you'll find yourself leaving fairly quickly if you're attempting to get work done since their internet is unreliable.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] Another thing to note: laptop usage at main tables in the cafe is banned on certain days, so research do research check prior to planning a visit here!

Walked around the West Village to explore the many shops and restaurants in the area. [[HIGHLIGHT]]The area is quite lovely and quaint.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] I checked over the menu and chose the French toast. So happy I decided on that dish. So many flavors that were balanced and very delicious. The bread was not dry and literally melted in my mouth. You could slice the toast with a fork. The lemon flavor was light with the sour cream and powdered sugar. The blueberries accompanied the toast and was the chef's kiss. After eating the toast I decoded to get the iced honey whipped latte to go. That was another wonderful choice. The honey whipped was excellent. The drink was a cup of happiness. Everything was very good and not overly strong. Kudos to both baristas for great service. So friendly and nice! They were very cordial. Both choices were some of the best I have ever tasted and enjoyed. If ever in the West Village, walk really fast to try out these two wonderful menu items. read more
My friend recommended that I come here for the breakfast burrito. The recommendation was on point. Really delicious burrito served with delicious green salsa. We were able to request it without the bacon. We also got the French toast. That was okay. Felt a bit heavy because it's made with olive oil cake. I got the whipped honey latte. The delicious whipped honey aside, the latte itself was just smooth and delicious. They really have good coffee. While walking out I saw someone with a delicious looking cookie in a bowl. I will need to come back for that. [[HIGHLIGHT]]In terms of the ambience and how things work- it's busy and energetic. The line is sometimes intimidating and then it dies down.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] I stood in line for about 10-15 mins to order. Meanwhile my husband grabbed us a spot to sit. I was not a fan of the whipped honey latte. I assumed it would be sweeter but the coffee itself was bitter, and the whipped honey on top didn't have much flavor either. The food was good. I liked my yogurt and granola and I tried my friends salad which I liked. [[HIGHLIGHT]]It's a decent space to work in, but it's laptop free on weekends.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] In summary I'd skip the drinks but this isn't bad for lunch or a snack read more

Absolutely loved this cafe. The service for food was amazing. They turn around the dishes quickly considering how packed it was. Seating can be hard to come by we got lucky. The burrito was absolutely amazing. Easily one of the best burritos I've ever had. Loved the unique flavors like the mint chutney and the lamb beef sausage. Chai was average. And the chocolate chip cookie was average. It wasn't chewy and crispy enough. Would definitely return for the burrito. And would highly recommend! read more
The whipped honey latte definitely lives up to the hype. I have never been to another cafe that serves the texture that this have AND also have the prominent flavor to back it up. That creaminess on top is THICK, so you definitely can taste the salted honey. Would go back for this. The olive oil cake slice was so moist. Went great with the coffee. Would also recommend. They have one phone charging station in the back by the bathrooms but just one of each type of wire. So realistically, only one or two people will be able to charge their phone at a time. read more

I came only for the famed WHIPPED HONEY LATTE. Upon first impression... I was different from what I expected. It's not like your typical whipped cream - but more like a well structured marshmallow that they shaped into whipped cream-like topping. I don't know how they did it, but they deserve credit for making it so nicely formed & visually pleasing. The latte underneath is your standard latte. Good, but just plain latte with no honey flavor inside. The sweetness really comes from the "whipped" portion. The whipped is really thick, fluffy, sweet & sticky all at once. It would probably be best mixing it all together or taking a mouthful of the whipped portion and drinking the latte after. Overall, I did think it was a truly unique coffee concept and therefore worth a try. read more

The decor inside is really cute, there's a really cute aesthetic inside, and the staff is friendly and welcoming. When I came Monday afternoon, it was still rather busy but no wait. A lot of people appeared to be coworking and there are a decent number of big and small tables, with some stools outside. With this going viral, at the end of the day it was just coffee to me. I got the whipped honey latte and it just tasted like a latte to me. I didn't really get any honey notes. The whipped foam is delicious and it's not overly sweet. read more
We did not eat here but we did drink! We started off with a honey latte what they are known for. It was spectacular! It was definitely on the sweeter side so keep that in mind. We took in the ambiance while plotting our day and catching up emails. Time flies because then it was Happy hour time! They have an incredible happy hour menu so we had to partake. I saw this place on some ones instagram page and needed to go check it out for myself so I did just that. I had to try their whipped honey iced latte and their lemon cake. Both were delicious! This coffee shop in west village is very cute and cozy feeling. They have a little back room with a fake fire place that people can hang out with friends and family and enjoy their coffees and food. I believe people can rent out this room for meetings too but not sure if this is the room that they can rent out. If you want to snag a seat anywhere in this place I advise to go on the early side. It was pretty packed when I went today. The staff here were very nice and explained to me how the whipped latte was made and with what ingredient's due to my allergies. I highly recommend coming to try this place out. They also have a few outdoor tables and stools too. read more
As a breakfast burrito fiend, this is not one of my favorites. Good but there are many that are better. I wish the ingredients were more chopped up throughout. Need to try other things and the drinks though! They do have lots of seating and I was able to sit and work at a table on a Saturday afternoon. Staff was lovely. read more
This was such a great place to work from in WV! I met a work friend on a Friday morning. The place does get fairly packed even though it is huge and there are so many tables to work at. I just ordered a latte and it was moderately priced and good. WiFi worked well. It's not necessarily quiet, but I had a great time getting some work done here. read more

This place has really got the café going up on a Tuesday!!! It is very welcoming, almost too welcoming, and I felt like as a result, it was just super super super full. I got the whipped honey latte, which I thought was very, very delicious, but it was a little bit hard to drink without a straw because the whipped honey was so thick! I was not super mad about it, though. It ended up being very sweet, though, and also attracted a fruit fly. That being said, I would definitely come back. The food also looks really good. As a fellow Peruvian, I approve!! Such a great spot to sit down and chat, the space is nicely designed and there's plenty of seating. We ordered their Arnold Palmer, chicha, and a cusqueña (I was beyond excited when I saw they had cusqueñas!) - the Arnold Palmer was so refreshing, and the chicha was just like you'd get it back in Peru! One of the owners took our order and she was very pleasant, the line was a bit long but it moved very fast so don't get steered away by it! read more

Very cute brunch spot. We liked how eccentric the interior was with mismatched furniture. It was like an Alice in Wonderland tea party. They had llama videos playing on their one tv, which was cool. The hashbrowns were okay, and the coffee was also pretty good. I would have given them a 5 star review, but their online menu was incorrect. I went there looking for two vegetarian items advertised on their online menu (asparagus soup and one other item I forgot.) They had changed their physical menu but not the online one and removed the vegetarian options I was interested in. Very disappointing. The ladies working were nice about it, and food came out quickly, but they should either get those vegetarian items back on the menu or replace them with something equally interesting. read more

After watching this place trend on TikTok even though I have had them on my "want to try" list for a long time, I finally made it to Hungry llama. Who can resist a pretty drink like the honey whipped latte?? Decided on the iced honey whipped latte with whole milk and a butter croissant. My friend and I had a ton of spots to hit on this day so we didn't indulge in the breakfast burrito, but definitely will return for one! We went on a Friday morning and there were only a handful of seats left, super busy! As for the latte, I did enjoy it, though the whipped topping was too marshmallow-y for my liking. This chocolate chip cookie was SOOO good! The sea salt was the perfect addition& the big chocolate chunks were so perfect. The whipped honey portion was delicious and tasted just like honey, the actual coffee part wasn't my favorite latte in the city so that's the deduction. Overall, I'd be back for just the cookie! Cute spot! They offer food, and happy hour later in the evening. I came for the iced whipped honey latte and it did not disappoint. The people working here are really nice. Would love to come back to try their pumpkin spice and other flavors. read more
Hungry llama was a very cute and cozy cafe. We came to try the whipped honey latte, which was different from what I expected, but I still enjoyed it. The latte itself is unsweetened, the whipped honey on top is what provides the sweetness. Had I known that, I would have added vanilla to it. There's lots of space inside, and 2 restrooms so you can hang out here for a bit. read more
This might be my favorite cafe in NYC! The cutest llama themed cafe with tons of working space and delicious breakfast! My friend and I shared a breakfast burrito which had eggs, crispy potatoes, and this delicious green salsa paired with it. We also shared an olive oil cake which was amazing. The whipped honey coffee is so good! The latte alone is delicious but with the whipped honey cream it definitely elevated the drink. Service is also quick and easy! read more

Really cute place with friendly service, however, both our drinks were wrong. Chai latte was tea with milk, and my iced Brown Butter Pumpkin was supposed to be iced. Neither one was great. The Chai got 2 sips and thrown away. They were too close to closing time to fix the beverages as the machines were broken down. read more
Lovely staff here, as they are so friendly, and it's a nice and cozy ambiance with couches, bigger tables, etc. Got to bring my laptop and get some work done as they have free wifi, but it does get really loud on the weekends with lots of people coming in and out! The whipped honey latte is very aesthetically pleasing but I don't think the flavor is mind blowing. It was still yummy! read more
