If you're looking for an elevated coffee experience in Manhattan, Felix Roasting Company on Houston and Greene is a must. We stopped in for a simple afternoon coffee and left feeling like we'd just been on a quick trip to a European café. The coffee? Spot on--bold, smooth, and made with real care. The setup is even better: elegant, intimate, and designed to slow you down in all the right ways. It has a true European coffee house feel, where lingering is part of the experience. Bonus points--the bathroom. Yes, the bathroom. Easily one of the most beautiful and pristine in Manhattan. Clean, elegant, and surprisingly memorable. Service was friendly and warm, with a staff that treats every customer like a regular. Final word: -Absolutely worth a detour. -Highly recommend if you need a break from the city's chaos. Felix Roasting is more than a coffee stop--it's a pause, a recharge, and a reminder that great coffee deserves a great setting.

I also want to make a point to highlight how kind Sandra is. She is so chipper and cheerful and has a ton of regulars who seem to know and love her. I love a local coffee shop where the barista engages with the customers and is eager to chat. This is my 2nd time here and I can hear her chatting it up with all the regulars who come in, remembering their names and little details that they have shared about their lives. This type of thing makes a coffee shop so much more homey! She also makes an incredible matcha and gets the ratio of water to matcha just right.

I saw this cafe listed as one of the best cafes to telework, but you can only use their wifi for an hour, so it's not ideal if you have actual work to do. You don't find out about the one-hour limit until after you've paid for your item, sat down, and tried to log in, only to be prompted with a login screen stating the maximum usage is one hour. It makes you put in your information and the order total along with "the receipt code." It's misleading because the sign at the front says "free public Wi-Fi.'l" For the drink, I got the matcha latte. It was disappointing and tasted like milk with no matcha flavor. I feel like I wasted $7. That being said, the interior is nice and cute.

This little coffee shop in New York, specifically in SoHo was such a vibe! The decor and lighting inside is everything, it feels so warm and cozy in here! My vanilla latte was delicious and well worth the wait. They offer a select few bagels and toast options, on top of their coffees and teas and matchas! Definitely a spot I would visit again to grab some good coffee or a quick snack!

I paid for a $7 mocha and it was poorly made to the point that I had to spit it out due to poor taste that I worry for my stomach. I've been to their other location located on Park Avenue South which is top tier when it comes to food, service, and experience. However this location doesn't match up at all. The space is beautifully decorated and all the seats are taken to enjoy their drinks and pastries. But one thing I worry about is the person making the coffee. And this isn't the first time, I had a cappuccino which tasted burnt and more milky. I went again thinking it was just a bad batch that one time so I tried their mocha. No balance of sweet and strong just lackluster and couldn't drink it. I personally won't be coming to this location but hopefully the next person gets a better coffee and/or pastry

    oat iced matcha $8

Only marking down a star because this place is expensive - I still highly recommend it if you're ok with spending about $8 for your drink. Also unfortunately, most places cost this much now. First, Felix is so cute. They have a strong aesthetic and I love the pink / green seating. Their iced drinks (which costs .50 cents more) come in a cute plastic cup - picture attached. There's a hole for a straw or you can sip straight out of it (sorry I'm a straw gal). I've gotten different lattes here before (they have their own signature vanilla syrup which is super tasty) and my most recent trip I got an oat matcha which was perfect! It was creamy and all the matcha was mixed in, no clumps! I feel like it's a risk to order matcha at expensive coffee shops because I'm so disappointed when they're clumpy but I took the risk because I had a feeling Felix Roasting would have a good matcha and they did! If you want to get a little work done, your receipt has a wifi code for 30 mins of free wifi. You need a new receipt if you want to keep working so it's not a great spot for long term but perfect if you're just doing a little work while you enjoy your coffee and snack. Also I appreciate that they have a bathroom!! This location isn't great for big groups (I'd say 1-4 people in your party max) but it's a perfect spot in the heart of soho and always one of my recs or go-tos when I'm in the area.

Fancy cute interior. Coffee and baked goods was decent. Good spot to rest up after a day of shopping or touring the city. Some of the tables were wobbly. Could take some time to straighten out the spacing after people are down. Many of the chairs were shifted around. Otherwise, great for the gram.

The Notorious RBG Sweet bagel is heavenly!

The cafe ISN'T this hipster overcrowded kennel of people cramming themselves into a spot just to be seen at the spot. Very good turnaround for tables, and no one is rushing you. I had the 6 shooter espresso: yes, 6 shots in a cup. My companion had the filter drip with no frills. With that I decided on something sweet along with my caffeine treat! The only thing they had was a bagel with sweet toppings. I noticed the counter glass showcase was empty. Busy morning I guess. The bagel was a capital idea though. Oh my pagen gods was it tasty. I might come back just for that. My friend took a bite after my reaction, it was funny seeing her eyes spark in surprise and them look hungrily at the rest as she chewed. All in all. A very satisfying experience that heightened the meeting with my friend.

    Seasonal eggnog
    Stephanie C.

Always loved their espresso drinks, this time around I got their iced cappuccino with oatmilk and coffee was a bold dark roast, velvety and rich. I ended up going home with a bag of their espresso beans which was $17. When you buy a bag of beans, they give you a drip coffee for free. The seasonal eggnog was the ultimate comfort in a cup. There's a layer of crystallized ginger sugar(?) on top which was nicely presented. The staff were very nice and welcoming. Plenty of space to sit and a bathroom. The only downside is their drinks can really add up if you end up adding syrups or milk alternatives (about +$1.50 for each).

Matcha latte after a long trek around soho is just the ticket. There's velvet chairs and couches everywhere and tiny little round tables like the ones outside of Parisian cafes. They didn't have any pastries but that was probably a good thing

This place is stunningly beautiful inside from the pink velvet chairs to the green couches to the gorgeous gold framed photographs. High class all the way & everything I've ordered has been 5 star

We got a cortado and an eggnog which I think is really an eggnog latte or at least I assume but it was a very pretty drink The coffee was good and for both drinks ~$12 The shop has a weird vibe like nobody in there was talking except in very hushed whispers or not at all. We were having a conversation quietly but when I giggled, a few people looked up at us with I swear a side eye like in a library.. just felt weird The bathroom is interesting. The whole thing has a ceramic theme with even the toilet being made of the same design They do offer free Wi-Fi so there were mostly people on their laptops and a ton of people got the fig toast Overall, the coffee was good but we'll prob choose a different shop next time

Almost Hate to give the review because then the secret will get out. But this is an excellent resto/cafe in the hotel hugo with a chill low key and quiet dining area that has an outside patio covered in glass top. The food is healthy light and tasty. Coffee? The coffee is top shelf. Expressos and capucinos w art on top, matchas flavorful. I had the quinoa chicken which was perfectly cooked and came e cauliflower and yams. The service is unobtrusive yet attentive and polite. If you're in the west SoHo area and looking for a quiet place to eat, take a call or meet this is it.

They've kept this place in good condition. Lots of seating and menus everywhere. It once was an Art Deco bank, you can kind of get the feel of that just from looking around. If you look at the mural behind the cash out point it gives you a little touch of history what once happened within these walls. I ordered the salmon toast. It was a little hard but I like the cream cheese was thinly spread not just thrown in like many places. The salmon was good and the mint tasted fresh. The capers were like slightly toasted and crispy, i've never had them like that before and I loved it. I think the toast was just missing a little drizzle of olive oil on top. To be honest, I think the capers were my favorite part. They were just this unique texture. I've never experienced before. I also got an iced lavender chai latte to go. It was so light and delightful, with the perfect blend of lavender. I really enjoyed this place and would totally come back again.

When you enter there is a bar you can sit at and two large high top tables next to it. As you walk further in there is a lounge with couches and various sizes tables. The whole space is surrounded by books! Heaven! We ordered a chai, matcha and a ginger cookie. Shout out to the woman taking my order for comping me my drink for my birthday! Everyone from the staff was friendly - I really enjoyed being there. The only thing I would say is someone should come by to check on the tables more often as I had to return other people's abandoned drinks. But you know what first world problems, am I right? Maybe they can have a sign or mention to customers to return their own cups before leaving. I sort of can't imagine why people don't... It is quite popular spot so you need to be very patient and strategic if you want to grab a table, as well as sprinkled with a little bit of luck. We unfortunately got there a little late. I went there at 3pm and hunted for a table and my friend got there by 330pm. By the time we ordered and started drinking our coffees - we were informed the lounge area will be closed at 4pm to prepare for the evening wine bar. Oh right this cafe turns into a wine bar in the evenings! How cool! At 4pm we thankfully grabbed one of the high tables - sharing it with another couple but it was large enough for the 4 of us. The lights dimmed and the atmosphere changed to more intimate. We unfortunately had to leave at 5pm, but I imagined picking up a James Baldwin book, ordering some white wine and enjoying both.... Mmm definitely next time. Maybe sometimes after work - sounds like a great wind down.

We tried the melon shaved ice $22 for the large which was a bit pricy but it was quite delicious. We were worried that the large might be too much for two people but honestly we were able to finish it without a problem. The melon pieces were sweet, the ice is milk based so it was creamy and flavorful on its own. We barely used the condensed milk that it came with (and we loved how they put it on the side for us instead). At the bottom of the shaved ice was cereal pieces and mochi which gave a nice different texture. We also tried their drinks specifically their blue lemonade and mango-ade which I thought was just ok. The highlight is definitely their shaved ice. Definitely go for the large as the small seemed much smaller and for double the price, you can get almost 2-3x more. Overall: it's a great place to grab a shaved ice and relax . The atmosphere is chill and you can stay without feeling rushed.

We walked into a comfortable and relaxed space with plenty of seating, the kind of place that makes it nice to spend time with friends or stop by for a late-night dessert. The interior had a playful yet welcoming design with a casual energy that encouraged lingering, and the layout accommodated both small groups and larger parties comfortably, making it a good spot for a longer visit rather than a quick grab-and-go stop. The main highlight is the bingsoo, especially the fruit-based options that combine fluffy shaved ice with different toppings and textures. We ordered the strawberry matcha bingsoo and found it standing out with its balance of creamy matcha flavor, fresh fruit, and sweet toppings, each component coming together in a way that felt well composed. The mango cheesecake bingsoo offered a richer dessert experience, with the creaminess of the cheesecake and the sweetness of the mango adding a more indulgent layer to the light shaved ice. The ice itself had a fine, soft texture that made the larger portions easier to share without feeling too heavy, and the variety of toppings gave us room to explore different combinations. Beyond the bingsoo, Sweet Moment also offered a variety of drinks and desserts. The matcha latte and specialty lattes paired well with the sweeter menu items, and options like the Earl Grey pudding provided something different from the typical dessert café offerings. The waffles and other desserts added more variety for anyone looking for something beyond shaved ice. Service was friendly and the ordering process was straightforward. The spacious seating and relaxed environment made the café work well for groups or anyone looking for a place to sit and chat rather than just grab a quick dessert. The portions were generous, with many shaved ice options being large enough to share, and the team moved through the room with efficiency, keeping the pace of the visit comfortable. Overall, Sweet Moment NYC is a solid dessert destination for anyone looking for Korean-style shaved ice, creative drinks, and a comfortable café atmosphere. The combination of unique desserts, generous portions, and a laid-back setting makes it a good spot for a casual dessert stop in Chinatown.

The royal chai was creamy, salty, perfect sweet, and silky. It had notes of cinnamon and saffron, paired with sea salt. I loved this drink. The breakfast kathi-rito was tasty. I loved the potatoes, cheese, egg, avocado, and whatever else was in it. The sauce on the side was delicious. Not exactly sure what it was but it was sweet with a kick. The mango lassi did not have enough mango flavor for me, I couldn't justify paying $10 for it. The condensed milk bun was good but it was similar to any other sweet bun in an asian bakery.
