wanted to try out this spot with some friends since it was apparently recently opened, but was honestly pretty disappointed with our food. i know that they have separate locations in nyc, but the one here just didn't live up to my expectations.
- atmosphere -
the inside of the restaurant was really nicely put together! i really liked the look of the tables and how the vibes were fitting for either a casual or slightly more upscale meal. there were plenty of tables and i'm sure you could probably fit a large party here if tables were just combined together.
- overall experience -
made a reservation for 4 for a friday evening, but when we got there the restaurant was pretty empty. we were immediately seated and had our orders taken shortly after. the servers here are really friendly, which was much appreciated. it took our food probably around 25-30 minutes after ordering to get served to us.

-world famous garlic bread: had pretty high hopes for this but it was honestly quite disappointing. the bread came out lukewarm and had more parmesan on top than garlic. i think if it came out warmer then it would've been infinitely better, but $3 is pretty fair for a single slice of bread cut into fourths. -fried calamari: their fried calamari appetizer was really crispy and came with some italian green peppers too. it also came with a lemon wedge, some hot pepper(?) flakes, and marinara sauce for dipping, but it didn't add much to the dish in my opinion. the calamari wasn't overly fried, but i felt like it was just lacking flavor for some reason. the portion was also so incredibly small for $17, so it wasn't worth the price in my opinion. -chicken parm: this entree comes with 2 chicken cutlets covered in their house breadcrumbs, melted mozzarella, and tomato sauce. i thought that this was the best dish of the night by process of elimination, but my friends disagreed. i felt like the chicken was cooked just the right amount and that there was just too much sauce on top. but, my friend thought that the chicken was borderline rubbery and undercooked. so, maybe parts of the chicken weren't cooked evenly. i felt like the tomato sauce was just too overpowering in my opinion, but if there was a bit less it'd probably be more enjoyable. for $26, i felt like it was pretty fair in price since entrees come with a free side. -brussels sprouts: got this as our side with the chicken parm entree, but it might've been a mistake. half of the brussels sprouts in here were burned, and the other half were just too greasy for my liking. it came with some parmesan on top, but it didn't really elevate the taste in my opinion. i definitely wouldn't have paid extra for this as a side, but since it came with our entree i just wish we got something different. -rigatoni carbone: i personally thought this pasta dish was alright; it comes with rigatoni in their world famous spicy pink vodka sauce. i personally felt like the rigatoni was cooked just the right amount, without being too firm or chewy. it also held onto the sauce quite well, which is always a plus. i personally just felt like the vodka sauce could've been spicier. the portion isn't that big for $18, so i think the dish was a bit overpriced.
