Love Parla !! The food is always great! We got the burrata (kinda a small serving to share and you gotta order bread on the side). The hot hunny pizza is our favorite. Service is prompt, at times hovery, but I get that they try to get people in and out since I've never been when it wasn't busy! Ambiance is cute but tiny and not very Ada accessible.

On entering, the mood was lively and welcoming. Started by sharing a Parla Chopped (Tuscan kale, red onion, celery, cucumbers, olives, chickpeas and delicious calamari with a tasty Italian ranch dressing). We followed it with a basic Pepe Bianco. The crust was outstanding and the mozzarella, Parmesan and black pepper added the perfect flavors. We were unable to finish the pie and the leftovers made for a very special breakfast!. Need to return to try other appetizers and their pastas

Visited here for lunch with some friends on a Sunday afternoon - we had a 2:30 reservation but weren't seated til 3 pm - the restaurant is tiny but the staff is so kind, they were extremely apologetic about the wait time but didn't want to rush the other party out as they also had young children (so did we). We ordered an app - chicken Milanese salad, and went straight for the pizzas. We got hot honey, pie dye, the NY classic, and angry roni, SO SO good!!! We thought the 3 pies would have been too much, but we actually ended up having leftovers! The food was absolutely fantastic - I was a huge fan of the deep dish style pizza, so buttery, crispy, and soft all at the same time! Huge bonus points for 2 massive and clean bathrooms with a very chic baby changing table! Will def be back!

5/5 stars. SO good. All the flavors, the ambiance, the friendly service. Everything was amazing. We got the ricotta starter. Delicious. It's ricotta with fried rosemary and aged balsamic. Truly the perfect bite. Tip: be sure to ask for bread because otherwise it will literally just come as the serving of ricotta. I got the Lumache Pomodoro which is tomato, melted garlic, stracciatella, and basil pesto. I ordered as is, minus the pesto. This pasta dish was SO good. Everything tasted so fresh and the sauce was divine. I'm sure it would've been amazing with the pesto but I personally don't love pesto so I did without. My friend got the Hot Hunny pizza - which is clearly the hot item here - and she absolutely loved it. We were headed to a show so we didn't box it up for takeout. Beware it's huge! You could easily split it. Not pictured: the chocolate x pistachio gelato. The perfect dessert to top it all off. The perfect portion size for the two of us to share...even after being so full from the amazing dinner! I could not recommend this place more.

Loved the food here. The pasta was tasty fresh and zesty. The pizza was delicious as well and light. The service was attentive and wait staff were very welcoming and polite. Would recommend!

A phenomenal experience! Service was great from start to finish. Shoutout to the manager at the front. We had a short a wait even though we had a reservation, but they brought us water and quickly took us to our seats once a table opened up. Waiter was awesome, telling us all his favorites which led to us buying the barriza. The pizza was super crispy, flavorful and I'll be back for another. Ambiance is nice inside. It can get packed, but enjoyed the lighting and decor. Highly recommend this place to anyone near.

Really wanted to love Parla as it seems like reservations here are hard to secure and it's the newest Italian spot in the city however the experience and food fell pretty flat. We've attempted a walk in on the most popular days and times aka dinner time, yet have always come to a "It'll be a 40-60 min wait" which is crazy given that there's a chance the long wait will not lead to a positive outcome. We eventually had reservations and it's safe to say that Parla is good for what it is if you're in the UWS and craving a pasta pizza combo and are either riding solo or stumble upon an off time to dine. We ordered- Lumache Pomodoro NY Classic The setting is very intimate and can get quite loud however it truly felt like we were at the hottest spot in the neighborhood, so no surprise there. The pizza was quite dry and we essentially had to dip each of our slices in the pasta just so it could taste a bit less...dry. I thought you'd get more bang out of your buck by ordering a round pizza, however maybe flavor wise the square pizzas could be better. Maybe would stop by again for pasta, but begrudgingly.

So tasty! We were nearby and looking for dinner. The photos and reviews on Yelp looked so good we knew we had to head over. Their site said walk-ins were welcome and it was a Monday night so off we went. They were packed, but we were able to grab a seat at the bar. Started with the Parla chopped which we delicious. The pasta was amazing, you can tell they make it fresh in house, and the pizza did not disappoint. Save room for a little soft serve for dessert. A lovely spot to grab dinner!

The place was buzzing on a Friday! Definitely not a place you can walk in expecting to get seats, I highly recommend making reservations. It is a vibey pizza parlor. The environment was filled with birthday celebrations, date nights, etc. Definitely a spot if you want an elevated dining experience but don't want to be overly pretentious. I ordered to go because it was too crowded. The pizza was just fine, I felt like it lacked cheese and probably didn't travel too well. However the Chicken Milanese was a rockstar! It was beautifully battered and the salad was refreshing, highly suggest. During the wait for pickup we ordered drinks. I am obsessed with the cocktail menu and want to try more when I go. Worth having a couple.

A lovely Italian eatery with a diverse medley of pizzas and pasta! I visited with my mom and we got the Upside Down pizza, Chicken Milanese salad, and the Mafaldine alla Vodka pasta. The Upside Down pizza has a nice tomato and basil fragrance, a pretty typical pizza but served in square slices. Prob should have ordered a more unique pizza as they have so many different flavors! The Chicken Milanese is an arugula salad with some breaded chicken (like chicken katsu), which my mom esp liked. The mafaldine was the star of the show as the texture of the pasta was SUPERB - perfectly al dente and creamy! There were a lot of people but we got seated quickly at the bar, and the service was very nice! Would love to come back and try their other pizzas as they have such an extensive menu!

While recently in the NYC, we were looking for a dinner spot to satisfy 3 adults and 2 teenagers. I have to say, that Parla did just that. With the attentive service, great food, and nice atmosphere, we picked the perfect spot. We ordered two pasta dishes (Mafaldine all Vodka and Lumache Pomodoro) along with two pizzas. We ordered the Round Burrizza and the Square Pie Dye. Every item hit the spot and was delicious. There was not a single complaint out of our party of 5. And with teens in tow that's not always easy.

After a long walk around the museum we worked up an appetite. We looked around the area for some pizza and came across this place. The reviews were promising. Upon arrival we were greeted and sat at the bar. This place is small and quaint. We noticed people leaving and we asked if we could have their table. Staff was more than happy to accommodate. When we sat down they brought us water while we looked over the menu. We needed up ordering the NY classics pizza, flat bread, and the upside down. We also ordered Birra Locale flagship Pilsner. The pizza not only looked great it tasted amazing. You can tell them put a lot of thought and effort into their food. Prices were on the higher side but you definitely get what you paid for. We were not disappointed by the signs of empty dishes. Lol Definitely a good spot to stop in and get a bite. Great service, amazing food.

In a place like NYC, it's hard to stand out with pizza. But after coming to Parla, I can definitely understand why they've generated buzz for a cuisine that's available on pretty much every street corner. We tried two styles of their pizza - the round (S.O.P.), and the square (Full Shroom). The round was somewhere between a New York and Neapolitan style. Thin and crispy, but also a little chewier than a corner slice. The square was thick, but also airy and fluffy, somehow filling without being too dense. Both pies had fresh ingredients and tasted great. The Full Shroom was LOADED with toppings, and the S.O.P. had a nice balance of sausage and mozzarella. The meal was super filling, well worth the premium charge for pizza. The quality here is legit, Parla is well worth a visit!

Was also thoughtful in handing us our orders correctly which was nice. For the food itself I heard good things and was hoping to love it more-- but I think I was slightly disappointed. The flavors aren't so bad overall and if you have a pasta itch it'll scratch. But I've tried other places better at a similar or even cheaper price point with protein added in. I got the "some like it hot" while my friend got "midnight desire" with burrata added in. I paid about 22 for each dish. Now for my thoughts - flavor for "some like it hot" was not bad, sauce was a slight bit watery for my liking. The spice was nice and I liked that part the most. Pasta was "OK". The ravioli was stuck together for some, filling was adequate but, I would've liked a little more. I don't want to sound harsh, but it was all around just an ok spot. Maybe it was just that day. Burrata added is nice, I took mine to go do sadly it was melted on top (recommend to pack the burrata separately for to go orders) - "midnight desire" is basically vodka and the flavor for this one was kind of odd for me. Not the normal vodka I am used to. I personally wouldn't really get it again. It wasn't a bad sauce, just not like vodka I know. Had a slight "bitter(?)" aftertaste from some seasoning I guess. I'm not a pasta connoisseur but I AM Italian and I've tasted a wide ranger of pastas lol-- I think yummy cheese pasta in Hell's Kitchen offers a similar concept, portion but is more filling, diverse options for adding and overall, slightly cheaper. Perhaps I'll give this place another try on another day..

I watched 3 separate groups of people leave while waiting for her, and she barely offered any updates on the wait time. After 15 minutes she asked us again how many people were in our group as if she had forgotten we were already waiting at the entrance. Once we were seated and looking at the menu, they brought us a single piece of cold bread. All the reviews about the undercooked pasta were true, I ordered the La Devozione (the tomato sauce spaghetti) and the pasta was almost crunchy because of how undercooked it was. The sauce was also incredibly greasy/oily, like the equivalent of an entire Costco pizza amount of neon orange oil. For $33, I am appalled at the quality of this dish. When our waiter brought the check, he hovered over our shoulders and watched as we entered the amount we tipped. He wasn't happy with what he saw and just rudely tossed the card back onto the table at us. For a place that advertises itself as high quality Italian, it's actually just sickening.
