Parkview Diner - California Omelette with toast and a Banana Berry Belgian Waffle - Diners Near Me - Brooklyn, New York

Food is phenomenal. Ladies bathroom was gross. Service was average. 5 Star food 2 stars for conditions of facilities 3 stars for service I would definitely come again. Food was awesome. And it beats sitting in all th freakin traffic on the Belt Pkwy!!! 2 of us had pasta dishes. Huge portions and the sauces were hot, creamy and delicious. My fettuccine Alfredo with chicken is one of the best I have ever had. My daughters penne ala vodka, same thing. Chocolate chip pancakes, 3 of them as big as your head. Kids were all eating them and couldn't finish. The prime rib was so huge it looked like it came out of Flinstones. Everyone loved their food. Service was OK. Our waitress was lovely, just not on the ball. No straws for drinks (no they didn't discontinue use..others had them). No au jus for prime rib, never asked if we wanted refill on drinks, half our meals came much later than the pasta dishes. Again..still coming back. Food is great. Next time I need to kill time in Brooklyn and I'm hungry, I will be here. read more

Decided to come here before going to Coney Island Lunar Park. We figured this was a good place for everyone to get something different. When you sit down they give you warm bread and a mix of pickles, beets, chickpeas, and coslaw. We ordered an order of wings. The buffalo wings were crispy and the buffalo was in the skin instead of a messy sauce which I liked. The blue cheese sauce wasn't that great. Tasted old and cheap. I ordered brisket and it was decent for being a diner, the ribs that my boyfriend ordered were really good he ordered the appetizer size and they were pretty big. We ordered from the kids menu the chicken fingers and fries which were amazing. The Oreo shake was to die for! read more

Parkview Diner - Oreo Shake - Diners Near Me - Brooklyn, New York

I recall coming here several years ago when I was a teenager and thinking that this diner had the typical Brooklyn diner vibes and thought that it was pretty cool. Now that I'm older and have gone here twice in the last month with friends for a late night meal, I've come to realize that this place is just okay. If you're looking for a 24/7 place to get a late night snack or dinner after hanging out or feeling hungry after work. This is a good spot to go to, I mean where else are you going to find pancakes or omelettes or burgers at 1 AM? The service is okay, not terrible but nothing special either. The food portions are huge, whatever you order, you'll most likely won't leave hungry or needing more. The food itself is just typical diner fare, nothing fancy or jaw-dropping good. The prices are a bit high for your typical diner though, I don't know if that's inflation post-pandemic for you or whatever but it's definitely higher than any other diner that I've been to. read more

Parkview Diner - Tuna Melt Deluxe with Fries - Diners Near Me - Brooklyn, New York

One of the best diners left standing. Been going here forever, and am convinced I'll never find a diner like Parkview elsewhere. My favorite is their breakfasts, and the coffee is tasty. read more

So not worth the money. The service is marginal as is the food. Not many dining choices in the area so locals are stuck with this mediocre place. read more

I used to come here often because this place is open really late, it has a huge menu, and used be affordable. But I don't think I can come back after having mediocre food that was wayyyy too pricy for what you got. We got pasta with chicken, chicken gyro, and beef gyro, and with a tip it came out to over $80 ! I used to go here when I was broke and now it's no longer viable. Plus, we had to send back our gyro because the chicken was sus. Overall super disappointed and feeling ripped off. read more

Went there Sunday. First time since Corona. Outdoor seating only. First of all there is a $1 per person outdoor seating fee. Why? Like I have a choice. Wait staff did not speak English and kept getting our orders wrong. We were two people both had omelettes and one order of onion rings bill came out to over fifty bucks with tip. A little pricey for eggs. They were greasy and left there feeling sick. Stomach bothered me all day couldn't eat anything else the whole day now it's the next morning and I feel like there's a brick sitting in my belly. read more

Remember this is not 1988 anymore where there were diners everywhere in Brooklyn now most are all closed now especially in queens....Really good breakfast home fries are probably the best in the city eggs french toast are so good...but what's is wrong is the service the waitress I had ignored me for 20 minutes before taking my order I was ready to walk out but where do you go tell me ???..the place was not busy she was more concerned on phone takeout orders...so service is horrible but the food is so good... read more

Service is friendly, chef never disappoints, prices are reasonable, they always go way and above for any occasions too. Love them

The food is decent and I normally order for delivery but the last time I ordered, my chicken Marsala had a couple of strand of hair in it. I thought maybe it was from me but when I reheated it the next day to eat, found more hair tangled in with the mushrooms. Ugh! Yeah....definitely was NOT from me. read more

This diner has a perfect location. It's right off the belt parkway at Cropsey Avenue. It's on the south side! Their waffle fries and cheddar hamburger was delicious. Their health rating was A bit couldn't find their sign The bathroom needs updating and more maintenance but everything else was very good! read more

Our drinks came without ice. We had to ask for a cup of ice for our drinks. Boyfriend ordered a roast beef club sandwich. Roast beef was disgusting. Looked slimey and old. Tasted even worse. I ordered a burger which was completed charred and disgusting. Onion rings were also cold. After we barely ate any of it we told the manager all of this when we went to the counter to pay. He didn't apologize, just said "we could have changed the burger for you" nothing in regards to the roast beef statement or onion rings. We ended up just paying and will NEVER come back. Once a great diner turned to garage. read more

Love the burger here. The service is pretty good too. I've always loved an old diner feel, this place is also pretty convenient location wise. read more

This place has taken full advantage of the Covid crisis and the closure of most of Brooklyn's diners. They now have no breakfast specials, so you have to pay extra for coffee ($2.40) and juice ($4 and up). They even started charging $2 for seltzer, which in Brooklyn diners was always free. The bagels are stale and horrid, the hash browns greasy and tasteless, and the bacon is like a strip of deep fried salt Breakfast for 3 was $48 before a tip. Save your money and go to McDonalds. read more

Is it possible to give zero stars? I'm here at 3:00 p.m. on a Friday and the place is mostly empty. 4 booths are occupied, about 20 are empty. Sat down with an associate and had a cup of coffee in a booth. One cup each. They charge me a $12 service fee for the privilege of sitting in a booth, in an empty diner. HIGHWAY ROBBERY! The place looks like it's 50 years old (1970's vintage), it's clean, but run down. Never again. read more

This place is disgusting and rude. Saw a man working here actually spit on the customer food before serving it. If you're planning to come here or reading this, please do not come. I already contacted Health Inspection company and told them what happened today. Hopefully they will come and deal with this issue. The female was staring at me when I walk right out the door. It's like I'm not welcomed here at the first place. There's gum under the table sticking out. Eww. read more

Do NOT place an online order. They won't deliver it they'll say they never got it and they won't give you a refund.

7/12/17- I must say--this diner exceeded my expectation but can still improve. I would definitely come back to this diner as this is one of the only ones left now that we are at a diner apocalypse. I love that it is 24/7 at this diner AND there is parking, amazing. The decor definitely gives you a very old school diner feel. The food isn't bad, it's pretty good actually. I ordered a basic chicken salad sandwich on whole wheat and it wasn't bad (I just wish the chicken salad was colder). The T-bone steak was actually pretty good! I loved it and I love medium rare so yay, kudos to them for being able to control that. We also had a chicken quesadilla and man, the portion was huge! There were so many pieces of chicken inside the quesadilla, it was amazing. I wish it was cheesier though--that would make it PERFECT. The only thing that I found weird was the way you close the bill. You ask for the check, and you have to pay up front where the receptionist is. Is this an old school thing? I've never experienced that before! It was very interesting but it makes me feel obligated to leave asap the minute you pay for the bill up front. Maybe I'm just being weird. I definitely would love to come back here and update my review as I would like to try more of their food. read more

Food is good. Service is excellent. Huge portions; you'll be taking food home if you order a dinner. Been here several times now. Keep in mind if you New York City so diner prices are going to be a bit higher. But by New York standards this place is a bargain. Very conveniently located off the Belt Parkway, near Coney Island. Once the the Pot-Roast was not served hot enough once but they heated it up. The waitress noticed I was not enjoying the pot-roast and asked me if something was wrong. They fixed it right away. I've liked their sides. Coleslaw, soups, vegetables. Someone in the kitchen knows what they are doing. The Resturant is well maintained. Clean restroom. Coffee is good but not topnotch; typical diner brew made in huge cauldrons. Management is attentive. read more

My wife ordered eggs, pepper onions, and avocado omelet. It did not come with avocado, and the peppers and onions were not cooked all the way. It took about 10 minutes for the service to come over to the table. read more

There is a reason why this was voted best Brooklyn Diner for 2022! Good Food and Service! As a local Brooklynite, we love going to this place. First of all we waited almost an hour to get our food even for a Greek salad we went there at 1 AM it wasn't even crowded We got our food at 2 AM the coleslaw was dry my burger was over cooked I requested medium rare I'veMy friend ordered a Panini steak and it came out like rubber tasted horrible Does sun-dried tomato was like a piece of plastic And my friend wanted to BLT have bread came out not toasted What happened to the days of the Vegas Dino when your food came out in 15 minutes Then to top it all off they over charged us on the bill and the manager was extremely rude to different people in our party He wanted me to go back to my seat .... He was the manager and he said he was too busy to straighten out the bill I never in my life had an experience I've been living in Brooklyn for half the century avoid this diner at all cost read more

Came here for breakfast right before the attending the Breast Cancer Walk at Coney Island. I ordered home fries and eggs, standard breakfast. The waitress was very attentive and checked in with me often, so 10/10 for service. As for food.....well the home fries tasted FAKE AS HELL, like slightly crunchy and rubbery seeming noodles, so I was disappointed because I love potatoes. These potatoes were not it though......smh. Every other ingredient was fine. I even left a nice tip for waitress, but I am so, so disappointed about the home fries. :( read more

I have to say I'm not a fan of diners but we were in the mood for some pancakes and French toast so of course we stopped here. I'm so glad we did! I ordered the stuffed French toast with cream cheese, walnuts, bananas and strawberries along with a raspberry maple glaze. I asked our waitress Kathy and she said it was amazing and she was right It was unbelievable!! They give you a very nice portion and tons of walnuts not chopped mini walnuts. The hubs ordered two eggs, sausage, hash browns which came with toast and a short stack of blueberry pancakes. He was stuffed and he said it was really good too. I just had a very upsetting experience that just reaffirms I should never go there again! The coffee should be much better for a diner. The wait staff I dealt with was not on point at all. I was overcharged & didn't get everything we ordered! Shouldn't be paying $50 for 3 breakfasts. Left frustrated and very disappointed, after years of trying, I'm officially done with this place! read more

This was my first time going to this diner and the customer service was lovely. Shout out to our waitress Dana who was absolutely a doll. She was so friendly and down to earth. The place was clean and rated a grade A. I ordered teriyaki beef with vegetables which was very good and the meat was tender. My boyfriend ordered the chicken alfredo which he said needed a little more flavor. Overall everything and everyone was nice and welcoming. I would definitely be back for more great food. read more

While the place is nicely decorated, and the food is just "meh," I am not a fan of this diner. First, who charge $15.00 for a cheeseburger deluxe? Really? Second, the service is not great. I keep on coming back due to it's proximity to the Belt. Bf insists on coming here before we drive to Flloyd Bennett Field. Service is very hit or miss. Some servers are wonderful while others can never seem to keep up with their tables. The food also varies by visit, sometimes it's spot on and others it's a hot mess. All I can say to future patrons is good luck, hope you get the good servers and your food comes in ok. p.s.: seating tips, in the summer time sitting on the left hand section of the diner as you come in, if you sat by the windows you would be comfortable, but if you sat next to the wall on the right the a/c would freeze you and your food in minutes. read more

After the day in the aquarium, some of us was hungry. So we decided to go to a diner. This place was recommended by two people that eat here a lot. Okay I'm not a beer drinker but one of us is. She ordered one and they gave it to her hot. Then they gave her a cup of ice to make it cold, she was confused. So I suggested that she just put some ice with her beer. Girl looked at me like I was crazy, you don't put ice with beer. I don't know I don't drink. Our food was delicious, I just had a grilled cheese with fries for $7.00. Everyone else had steaks and hamburgers. If I ever find myself in the area again I will probably come back. Staff was friendly and service was fast. read more

Ricky R. He was rude from the moment we got there. It was unfortunate since we were celebrating my grandson's graduation (who recently lost his father). We were a large family group and he wanted us to sit in a table that could only handle barely 6 people. The waitress had moved us to another table we requested with plenty of room and he quickly came over and LOUDLY for everyone to hear he said" NO you sit at table I gave you", causing other diners to just stare at us. The table we requested was then given to a group of 6 who looked just like him. That was it, we just didn't want to spend our money there. They don't deserve ANYONE to spend their money there. When we decided to just leave and I complained to him about his behavior and told him I would tell everyone I knew not to go there, he answered in a loud, crude manner that it was ok because he didn't want "my kind" there, that said it all. I rate them a 1 so I can submit post but they deserve a 0 star. read more

the customer service here is horrible. there is a nasty door host that is truly worthless. this man is ver rude and has no respect for customers. The food here is delicious. I've been here a few times at different hours and its pretty consistent. The service at crowded times can be a little slow. I like this place. Solid diner food. Solid diner service, but the waiters should slow down and take a breath. Usually go for breakfast or brunch and have enjoyed eggs, omelettes, and pancakes. The hash-brown potatoes are amazing! Often a good selection of pastries, but try to be certain you are getting something fresh. Sometimes you can tell the muffin was delicious yesterday. I dine out often, rarely have questions, never request substitutions, tip well, and I am friendly; I hate feeling rushed. Slow down. You will get all of my order as I tell you what I want. Some of these guys are in a panicky rush when the place is half-empty: slow-down! We will be back again and again. read more
