I traveled all the way to this diner near Coney Island for a friend's birthday lunch. It has been voted Best Diner, so I wanted to experience it for myself. The interior is vast and there was comfortable booth seating. For my drink, I decided to get the Chocolate Milkshake with peanut butter. This tasted amazing and was ultra thick, creamy, rich with peanut butter flavor mixed with sweet chocolate. I shared the Appetizer Sampler, which included Corn Nuggets, Mac and Cheese Bites, Onion Rings, as well as Chicken Tenders. These were all very tasty with a delightful crunchiness and well seasoned. Since the menu was extensive, I had a hard time deciding what to order. I finally went with Building my own Sandwich. I selected Pastrami, Muenster cheese, onion, lettuce, tomato on rye bread, with a side of cheese fries. The sandwich was humongous with a good amount of each ingredient, however there was no sauce, so it was very dry. The Pastrami was nice and peppery, as well as tender. The cheese was melty, while the crisp veggies gave the sandwich a fresh element. The Cheese Fries were not good though. There was American cheese (which I'm not a fan of to begin with) on top of the fries and they had become rubbery and tough. The desserts looked yummy, and I was planning to order Chocolate Covered Strawberries, but I was simply too full to eat anything else. And I had to take half a sandwich and most of the cheese fries to go. Service was pretty good. Our waiter was personable and accommodating with individual checks for everyone. Toward the end, it got a little hectic and it took a little longer for items to come out. I wouldn't consider this place to be the best diner ever, but I would be open to returning. I would like to try one of the entrees, like Pork Chop and some of their sweet offerings.

Your typical diner food! We had also ordered soup that isn't pictured but it came out warm/cold. The food was okay, nothing to extravagant or wow factor but def something that'll hold you down after a night of drinking.

I love this place! Service is good. The food was delicious and I would say not pricey at all. We took a brunch sandwich with pastrami to share, it was enough for two people. It was delicious and we were full!

Very good food and fast service. We ordered the French onion soup, chicken Caesar salad and Philly cheese steak. Also ask for the coleslaw and pickles. Everything was tasty.

Went here after a night of drinking. Ordered the big boy breakfast 3 eggs sunny side up bacon ham eggs French fries. Coffee. Freaking incredible. The service was quick and fast. Food came out fresh and prompt. Everything we got was delicious. Place was clean and well kept. Tables weren't sticky and the menus were clean. Nothing worse than a diner with sticky menus and tables.

What an absolutely miserable place. Food is mediocre at best. Service is nonexistent, and it's unnecessary for servers to argue about not wanting to help another server's tables because they don't get a tip from it. That's bad management and training. Tables shouldn't be penalized for needing ketchup or syrup because they asked someone who wasn't their server for it. Seriously, a waiter need not say, sorry it's not my table when they are three feet from the ketchup. Even the cashier seemed unbelievably miserable. What a dreadful place to end up.

Looking for a great home cooked meal? Look no further than the Parkview Dinner, in Coney Island, Brooklyn. The food is plentiful and delicious. Ample portions with tremendous deserts. Giota took great care of us and definitely made us feel right at home. The place was already decked out for fall, Halloween & upcoming Thanksgiving Holidays. The ambiance is comfortable, not loud, and they have plenty of parking (a treat around the city now).

Haven't been to a diner in a long time and stopped by for a quick meal with some coworkers. The entire staff was very friendly and accommodating. I know diners always don't have the best reputation although everyone was polite and helpful. The food was good and what I expect in a diner. Prices were fair and I think the best part would have been the desert if I had it. All the deserts looked AWESOME although I resisted temptation. Cakes, cookies, pies, etc. I had the salmon avocado burger with fries, my buddies had the burger deluxe with sweet potato fries and one had the pastrami which looked great. I would recommend them if your in the mood for diner food and not looking to dress up or impress anyone.

Early Sunday morning after charging my car at the new Tesla charging area near by I decided to crab some breakfast and it was pretty good. Customer service was on point walked in and was seated right away. They took our order and then minutes later our food arrived. We had a table by the window and had a view of the parkway which was pretty cool. Overall, great experience and a good way to start the day off. If you are in the area make sure to stop by Parkview Dinner for a bite to eat.

Solid diner with quick service. I was greeted, seated, and placed order in under 5 minutes. Food came out fast and was tasty. Regular diner experience and decor, with outstanding service. There televisions around in case you want to take a glimpse of the sports, like me. They have a full bar as well, I want to add.

Ya never know. This used to be part of the charm, but now it's a liability because friends (and other chefs in the neighborhood) never want to go to Diner because...ya never know what it'll be. Diner has never coasted on continuity. They change up the menu every day. They write it on the paper tablecloth, for Chrissakes. But I still love that! I still find most of the food to be delicious (if pricey), I still think their cocktails are well-made (even if their bar is weirdly slow) and I love their brunch and I love the vibe, and I'm glad it's still here. Their Caesar salad is overrated, as is the burger, but they're always mixing it up. You could get lucky. Ya never know...

Doesnt even save paper since those menus are not reused. And honestly, our waiter's handwriting was sometimes hard to read. Also, quite pricey. The crab pasta was $35, the celery root was also $35 (like what?!), the squash was $23, and the Caesar salad (not pictured) was $22. Service was friendly and knowledgeable on the food but slow.

But if you're looking for some excellent, straight forward, wonderfully crafted simplicity, this is in your wheelhouse. A quesadilla is a quesadilla, a hamburger a hamburger. Sounds boring? This spot has a handful of tables and while we were there, quite a few to-go orders were picked up as well. Though we were the only diners, so I assume it's more of a breakfast/brunch spot. The menu is rather expansive with options from breakfast to lunch and dinner. After studying the menu, we opted for the Veggie Burger and the Meatball Parm Po'Boy. Our food was ready in about 20 minutes, which seemed a little long as we were the only diners, but we were not in a rush so it was fine. As the restaurant was unassuming, I honestly had pretty low expectations, but we both really enjoyed our meals. It was definitely large portions and really flavorful. My fiance said the Meatball Parm Po'Boy was delicious and I appreciated that the veggie burger seemed to be made in house as it was falling apart (in a good way) and you could distinguish some of the veggies. I ended up only eating about half of my burger and took the rest for lunch the next day and it held up well.

Of course, I wanted some actual breakfast items, so we got the French toast loaded with fruit. We also got both the tres and quatro golpes, which is a traditional Dominican breakfast. Lastly, we got a Caribbean omelet. My rice and pernil was solid. The rice could've used a tad bit more seasoning but when mixed with the side of beans and plantains plus a drizzle of hot sauce it was perfect. They had a variety of sauces--Tabasco (my fave), a Jamaican one that was super spicy, and a mild homemade one. The tres/quatro golpes was also a hearty choice with mangu (mashed plantain), sausage, fried cheese, and eggs. The pickled red onion balanced everything out. The fried cheese is similar to a halloumi but I think it's a bit more flavorful. All the flavors just melt together in your mouth perfectly. The French toast and omelet were good. I'd say the Caribbean items stole the show though. The place has a typical diner vibe and is on the small side. Food was served quickly and service was good. Discount if you pay in cash. Apparently there is more than one location in Manhattan. The inside reminded me of a classic diner. Comfy and with a pretty cool vibe. We all slid into a booth and looked over the seasonal offerings along with their standard menu. I was lured by the chicken Kyiv based on the picture of having two rolled up chicken cutlets stuffed with dill and other yumminess, but was a bit disappointment when it arrived with a single small cutlet on my plate with two heaping mounds of potatoes mash and broccoli. I instantly had regret when I should have gotten the borscht soup with pierogies, but wanted to try something I wouldn't usually. I should've stuck to what was safe. My work mom got the stuffed cabbage and that was a clear homerun- really loved the mushroom gravy that it came with. My other colleague got the potato pancake and wasn't too thrilled with it, while my boss got the two Swedish meatballs that he described to be Ikea worthy. Although this was my first time here, I can't say that anyone really loved the food nor would come out of their way to come back. A friend and I each got a soup to start our meal, along with sharing a Potato Pancake. The Matzoh Ball Soup and Potato Pancake were good, but not great. However, I enjoyed the Pork & Cabbage Soup enough to take home a quart. For entree, we shared a Deluxe Meat Plate that was quite delicious. All three pierogi flavors were great, but the short rib was my favorite, followed closely by the mushroom & sauerkraut. I also really enjoyed the grilled kielbasa, but sadly it was served at room temperature. Lastly, the stuffed cabbage is not usually my thing, yet I liked this version. Once again, it was served barely warm. Thankfully, we finished on a high note. My friend really wanted the Challah Bread Pudding, which was moist and tasty. However, the lovely waitress advised us strongly to try the Medovyk. This Ukrainian layered honey cake had a wonderful texture, not too creamy or sweet, with a great walnut flavor. We were extremely happy with her suggestion. We also really liked the diner vibes that felt warm and inviting. This was so close to a five star review. The main reason for the deduction was the temperature of our food being served. Hopefully that problem will be solved on my next visit.
