Paris Baguette has really improved in recent years. I'm not sure if I like them more or 85C Bakery more. This is a chain bakery, and most items I have gotten here are excellent. I would say anything croissant-based is delicious as they have their recipe down. Recently, I got their: Maple Pecan Pastry $4- like a turnover, with flaky bits of puff pastry and glazed pecans on top- 5 stars Cinnamon Sugar Churro Mini Croissants with caramel sauce $7.50- 5 flaky, mini croissants. Great deal and crunch/chew. Great on its own, no need for the caramel sauce- 5 stars Dubai Chocolate Mochi Donut $5.10- Cherry and very good, although a little pricey for the size- 4 stars. I ordered thru their app bc they had a $3 promo on any medium latte. Ordering on the app was easy. I arrived 15 mins early. They greeted me as I walked in. I let them know I had a mobile order. They saw my order and worked on it right away. I ordered their matcha latte with extra shot, extra hot with oat milk and whipped cream. I tried it and it was exactly as I ordered it! It was very hot, the oatmilk tastes fresh like it was a new carton they opened and matcha tasted like quality matcha. It was the perfect delicious made drink to start my morning. The crowd was not super busy but while I enjoyed my drink, by 8:30am a line was forming at the baked goods and people started to arrive picking up their mobile drink/food orders. Never been here before, and needed to find a specific type of cake. I called ahead to see what they had and they were very helpful on the phone and answered all my questions. I love Paris Baguette they seriously never disappoint when it comes to desserts. From their cakes to their pastries, everything I've tried has been so good. One thing I really love is that their treats aren't overly sweet. They're light, easy to enjoy, and you don't need a ton to feel satisfied. Holy chills. Had such a great experience at Paris Baguette! The service was excellent--everyone was friendly, welcoming, and attentive from the moment I walked in. The food was fresh and delicious, especially the pastries, and the drinks were made perfectly. Everything looked clean, organized, and well stocked too. I've come in here twice before, once to get my birthday cake, and once to get a little tart. Both times the experience was incredible! I love the little glass cases filled with pastries. It makes the environment feel very warm. The two ladies that work at the counter are always the sweetest as well. They always have a big smile, and they wish me a happy birthday when I got my cake! I've been here twice. And both times were not good. I'm starting to think it's a race issue because at other locations I have never been treated like this. Yesterday I went in just to pick up a birthday cake slice. I went to where it says "pick-up order here". It was paid for and everything. They help the people in the line first which is totally okay and very understandable. But when they're done with their two customers both cashiers are free and not one looks up at me. One turns around and ask the person making coffee something. And the other goes to chit chat. Another person walks in and picks out his pastries and stands in line. And then both cashiers greet him and call him up to the register. Mind you I haven't been talked to or even looked at nothing. I could understand if they were super busy but there was literally two drinks that they're making. It doesn't take two cashiers and the lady already making the drinks to do this. So they help the man out and all them turn away again. So finally I speak up and say "excuse me. Can one of you help me?" And this point all 3 of the people turn around and one goes "what are you here for?" And I go "I've been standing here waiting for at least one of you to help me. I'm just picking up an order for Maya." And she grabs the receipt, Get my order, tapes it on the box and hands it to me and says "here you go". Like they really went out there way to ignore me. But all the lighter colored people and the people that looked like them were greeted with smiles and helped out and made eye contact with and were thanked. Except me. The only brown colored mixed girl with curly hair in there. I thought I was trippin but then saw it for what it was. And explained it to other people and they said theyve experienced the same thing in Irvine. So no I will not be coming back here. If I could give service no stars I would. The first time I went was no better either. I picked my pastries. Stood in line. And when it was my turn to go up to the cashier they both walked off and didn't even look at me. And finally I just walked up to the counter and asked to be helped. Like is this how y'all are training your staff?! This is crazy. read more
