Between the excellent wings, the dizzying selection of alcohol, and the top-notch wait staff, this restaurant is permanently enshrined as one of my all-time favorites. I knew that I was addicted when, after walking into the bar during one trip with a friend, the bartender (Michael) recognized us and immediately offered up two Blue Moon schooners, our usual. That extremely impressive level of service is likely possible because this location sees a relatively low amount of foot traffic. Despite patronizing this location dozens of times on different days at different hours, we have not once waited for a table. What can be said about the food that hasn't been said already? The wings are spectacular. You can expect them to be large and swimming in sauce. Speaking of which, the sauce choices are overwhelming: their classic BBQ is a go-to, but try out the Say It Ain't Tso or Me-So-Spicy for something a little different. If its alcohol you're after, its hard to do better on this side of town. Their draft selection isn't quite as extensive as Buffalo Wild Wings down the road but it gets the job done without the large crowds and strange chlorine smell. They will certainly do mixed drinks much better. The first time we visited Wings Etc was during a big game night. Buffalo Wild Wings was completely packed, so we continued down the road a bit to try this other place which ended up having a few open tables and spots at the bar. Life is full of strange mysteries; among them I add "Why will people wait thirty minutes for mediocre wings at BWW when there's Wings Etc a half-mile down the road with better food and better service?" As a chance of pace...we mixed it up and tried Wings Etc on a Sunday afternoon - living on the edge LOL. This facility is located in the far west end of the strip mall at the corner of Dupont and Coldwater Road. It's opposite the Kroger and more toward Casa's. Easy in and easy out as there is parking close to the store. The store is kinda large (at least seemed that way today as it was empty) clean and in good repair. The team was very friendly. The place was slow so we had very attentive service. The food and drink menu is fairly large. They gave a full bar with lots of TV's. Nice place to relax, talk and watch a game. As for the food...I really don't expect a lot from these type of franchise places. I did find the onion rings to be pretty good. Nice meaty piece of onion with a thick batter. Slight crunchy breading - not too oily. No special sauce served with this. Just ketchup if you need it. My wife really liked the grilled chicken bacon wrap. Fresh ingredients and tasty. My grilled chicken quesadilla was large and thick. Tender chicken, thick bed of cheddar cheese and soft tortillas.

The menu has a small number of specialty pizzas (only six) along with build-your-own option. The prices are pretty comparable to other bars. On this occasion I got a 16" Everything pizza for $20. A 16 inch pizza was a LOT of delicious pizza. The pizza crust is thin. It is thin enough that almost every bit has a slight crunch. However, it was also soft enough to satisfy the less than crunchy crowd. The crust doesn't have much distinct flavor or seasoning. Just a nice thin crust. The pizza sauce was also hard to distinguish. The pizza is so full of toppings and cheese that you really don't see the sauce. The sauce that was they are blended well with the American sausage base. Now the best part - the fresh toppings! Laycoff's uses the Pizza King approach by using finely chopped toppings. The base of the Everything pizza is a finely ground American sausage. The base of the pizza so completely covered with sausage on the Everything choice. The sausage doesn't have much spice or flair as it is American style instead of Italian. The pepperoni is very thin. The fresh and slightly crunchy onions and peppers are chopped into small pieces. Even the green and black olives seemed to be smaller. The whole pizza was coated in delicious tasting mozzarella cheese. As I mentioned the 16 inch pizza is a large pizza. Laycoff's cuts the pizza into large pieces as well. This pizza could easily feed 3-4 people. Cold Pizza Test - I always want to try the pizza the next morning, cold, and for breakfast. This pizza was outstanding cold and as a left over. The coldness causes the mozzarella cheese taste to really come forward. The saltiness of the olives gets bolder. The bed of sausage and cover of cheese really help keep the pizza moist. The crust stayed a bit soft with a slight crunch. Overall, I really liked the pizza. It wasn't outstanding. However, it was really good at a good value. It's a covered patio and over looks the 18th hole (see picture). The cover blocks the sun and allows a cool relaxing breeze to flow in. Very nice! This was actually the first time I have ever tried their pizza. I've been here with others who have ordered pizza and liked it. I was always reluctant to try it because they appear to over cook the crust often. Definitely not this time though! I have included the regular pizza menu. They only have about five specialty pizzas to pick from. Their 16 inch selections will generally run you about $20. On this occasion...the special of the month was a cheeseburger pizza. It sounded good so I gave it a try! The cheeseburger pizza crust was very light and soft with a slightly baked crisp. It has a bit of a floury taste. The inside tended to mimic a biscuit flavor and texture. I liked it. No buttery coating or seasoning. Just some stray cheese pieces. I can't describe their normal tomato based pizza sauce. This pizza came with "special sauce" to accent a cheeseburger flavor. The sauce was light, thin and didn't dominate the taste. I found out they use their homemade 1000 Island dressing for the sauce. It did mimic a McDonald's Big Mac special sauce - just not as zingy. I was concerned that the sauce would grow old fast as I worked on 16 inches of pizza. It did not as it wasn't very strong tasting. There wasn't a lot of ground beef to dominate the taste. There was plenty of mozzarella cheese and some cheddar cheese accents. This gave it a nice gooey pull apart string. The dill pickles were very thin and mild in dill taste. Cold Pizza Test - the crust got only a little tougher while the biscuit flavor stepped forward. It was still moist to taste and easy to pick up and eat/chew. The special sauce and onions also started to come out more as it seemed to marinate a bit more.
