I typically will head to this Culver if I am up north, but it struggles with keeping up with the pace of drive-through customers. We were there on a Saturday close to lunch and even though they had two members taking orders like they do at Chick-fil-A, it took a while for somebody to collect payment at the windows since we were paying with gift cards. Afterwards, there was still a long wait for the food. I know good food still needs to be prepared fresh, but the wait was longer than expected. This is one of my favorites at Culver's. The shrimp are filleted so they are large and moist. The breading is thick and crispy with a moderate oily taste. The dinner comes with a roll that is really hard/stale and unappetizing. The cole slaw is very good. It has a light mayo base along with large pieces of slaw and carrots. Very fresh and tasty. We always argue over whether or not to go to Culver's to eat when we are craving a burger. Half the fam isn't crazy about it and the other half crave t - he fries and bacon cheese butter burgers until we get one in front of us and remember why we don't eat here a lot. The burger patties are often over cooked - I like crispy edges, but when there's no juice in the whole thing it limits my desire to return. This time the burger was truly insipid. No seasoning on the meat, too few pickles and way too big a bun for a single patty sandwich. The fries were really good though - hot, fresh and crispy. What sucked is that they put my daughter's fries pouch on top of the cheese of her bunless burger! Half of the cheese got stuck to the paper :(. We weren't in the mood to argue so she just dealt with it. Unfortunately, we were not able to leave this establishment without a confrontation with the shift manager. We ordered a Concrete Mixer for my youngest and I to share and a Mango Peach Cooler for my husband and our oldest daughter to share (they're lactose intolerant and it's difficult to find good cold treats that are lactose free). Both my husband and DD1 said the cooler was so syrupy sweet they would not be able to drink it. He didn't feel like trying to water it down with unsweetened carbonated water from the fountain because it defeats the purpose of getting an icy treat. So, he offered to let me exchange it for another Concrete Mixer OR just ask for a refund. Didn't know how Culver's dealt with refunds so I asked the counter clerk what my options were - if I could exchange it for an equivalent ice cream treat or get a refund. Enter the shift manager, a young woman with dark hair who looked like she was already having a bad day. Immediately she took issue with my request to exchange the Cooler for an Ice Cream item because in her words - if being too sweet is actually the problem then the ice cream is twice as sweet and won't solve anything. I asked her to dial back the attitude, which she denied and I pushed back, because she made me bristle. I tried to explain, the sweetness of the ice cream didn't matter, because the people who would be consuming the ice cream are not the same ones who wanted to return the Cooler. She kept trying to talk over me and finally irritated beyond belief and shaking over this ridiculous exchange I said, "Would you please stop talking!?!" She lowered her face obviously perturbed, but I was finally able to ask her to forget about exchanging anything I just wanted a refund. Since it was paid on my husband's card I had to call across the restaurant to him and explain when he asked what was going on that they refused to remake or exchange for ice cream since it's twice as sweet in her opinion and that I needed him to put his card in to get the refund. UGH! Honestly, I was expecting this - "I'm sorry you weren't satisfied with the Cooler. We can either remake it, exchange it for another item like a sundae or medium concrete mixer or refund your money. What would you prefer?" Then I'd give them my choice and it would be fulfilled without any more soliloquy or argument and we would have walked away happy even though we had had other issues with the flavor of our burgers and their crappy treatment of my daughter's cheeseburger with the bag of fries dumped on it. But no, we walked out angry, frustrated and unhappy because we were dealt with unprofessionally. Oh, and you all need to hire someone to power wash the greasy sidewalks. This is close to my house, and the line is usually around the building, so I don't stop here often. Today, however, it was a special request from a family member that brought me here. When I saw the drive through line, I had an idea; I will place my order on the app, park and wait in my car until pick up time, and go inside and get my order. Sounds easy, right? Wrong. After placing my order on the app, it said it would be ready in 10 minutes. I waited 12 minutes and went inside to pick up my order. The lobby was packed. I walked around for the pickup counter, like some restaurants have, but didn't see any. I did see a sign hanging high on the ceiling to wait underneath the sign for pick up orders. I waited. I waited. I waited. Finally, I asked a crew member walking by how I was supposed to get my pick up order. He said to wait in line at the counter and tell them I was here. Ok. I waited in the long line to get to a register. I gave them my name and she said it would be another 10 minutes. I was relegated to loitering in the lobby again. At this time, it was 20 minutes past my pickup order time. A manager finally came over and asked my last name. He walked to the counter, grabbed a bag that had been sitting there and had someone get the drinks we ordered and gave it all to me. I was trying to save gas and time by placing the order online. They need a better system than what they have. There is no benefit AT ALL to placing an order on the app for pickup. I visited the first time back in 2014. Was delicious then. Came back yesterday (2022) and omg it was still good! Love how the food is fresh and they make it to order. There were a lot of cars waiting before us but I didn't mind because it was worth the wait. I also ordered a vanilla milkshake and gobbled it up. I love how they don't just tell you to pull over and wait for your food but they give you a number so they'll know who ordered what. Friendly staff and delicious hot food! I was very disappointed in my visit here. The staff was brisk and short. The normal courteousness was not conveyed to me. I ordered a strawberry concrete mixer. They put the strawberries on the bottom and vanilla custard on top and that was it. No mixing and definitely no mixer! I paid, was given a number, and pulled forward, where I proceeded to sit for 15 minutes while every other customer behind me was given their order. Upon entering the store, I was further ignored for several minutes at the counter despite multiple associates standing behind the counter, and no other customers at the counter. When I was finally approached, I explained the situation calmly and was told it would be taken care of. A few minutes later, I still had not received my order, and as such I requested to speak to a manager and asked for a refund. This is the second time this situation has happened and as such has now prompted this review. I am giving 2 stars as I have had quality service in the past, and while I am absolutely willing to look past the occasional mishap, this same situation occurring twice is frankly something that will sadly make me reconsider returning in the future. read more

Satisfied the service was terrible tonight there was five cars behind us in line in the Drive-Thru all who ordered behind us and they all got served before us in the Drive-Thru when we had a simple ice cream order of four ice creams consisting of two of the flavor of the days and one concrete mixer and one one scoop it was incredible how long it took and when one of the members of the car finally got up and went to the restaurant it was waiting inside on a counter nowhere near the drive-thru area when we received our ice cream after a long wait it was completely melted. We were just at this frozen custard place. The service was extremely slow. We only order a shake but had to wait for 4 other customers who had full griddle or fried items. After 10 min the server then took the order to the car behind us which had 4 or 5 shakes malted or concrete mixers. When we saw this we asked the runner where our order was. She came out 5 min later. We don't think it was the large size we paid for. It quite upsetting to see 100% of customers,are put in the same que. A simple shake that requires no mixing shouldn't be delayed by the burgers or fries customers. We enjoy Culver's' better quality and great service, and have never been disappointed. However, this location did not meet even basic expectations. We LOVE their cheese curds, but the oil was clearly old. Though the shrimp was moist and tasted fresh, the dinner roll was cold and not particularly fresh. The coleslaw was past spoiled. Not just the mayo sauce, but the actual cabbage seemed to be going bad. We both spit it out! I went to tell them so that they would pull any other that was bad and exchange it. There was no empathetic apology or reaction from the apparent senior/manager, just, "Oh, would you like another, she just made new batch?" I hesitated, because we had both wanted it, "she just packed a new batch, about an ho--two hours ago." No, thanks, a side salad. Back at the table, the salad was decent, but none too fresh, wilted. On the positive side, the dining area and counter was clean, the cashier (young man) was very friendly and helpful, the shrimp was good and the chicken tenders were great as usual. Sadly, we were simply disappointed for the first time in the quality and the response to spoiled food was not reassuring. Hopefully, they pulled the rest of the bad stuff! read more
