Really annoyed when I called to place an order they told me I could not place an order over the phone. I had to place an order online when I explained why I didn't wanna purchase an order online. They told me they were sorry but I could only purchase an order online just FYI when you order online, everything is 4 to 5 dollars more expensive because you're paying the third-party fees, which is totally unfair if I'm going to pick it up myself. We ascended on them coming from a convention. You couldn't fit another body in the dining room/line. They took all orders quickly and got all orders and shakes out for everyone quickly others were saying it was the best burger. The Ft Wayne Frank was awesome. The cheese fries were great. The staff was even able to bring orders to tables of those that were having issues getting up and even were able to keep the water fountain filled! We ordered and ate within 40 minutes! read more

First and last time we'll be eating here. Veggie burger was so wet, not one crisp edge or component to be had, and all on a steamed, wet bun. Flavor was okay but it was a wet sloppy mess. The others in my group ordered regular burgers. The person taking orders said it'd be like a smash burger but it wasn't. Again, the grill was not hot enough: no char, no flavor, almost as good as...never mind. It wasn't good. And the churro shake: mildly pleasing with subtle flavor, but that disgusting dry churro shaped kitchen sponge was truly gross. Ruined the whole thing. Burger was pretty good. Shoestring fries were tasty but over-salted. I was surprised not to see a larger variety of burger toppings available for someplace called Burger Bar - it's just the basics. The menu is small. The dining room is fairly small although I was there mid-week when not much was going on downtown so there was no wait at all and food came out pretty quickly. Servers were friendly. The dining room was clean and mostly quiet. There is not dedicated parking for the restaurant, but if you are nearby for other reasons it's an easy dinner stop. read more

We stopped in here after learning there was a 2 hour wait at our hotel restaurant. I was hoping for a full dinner meal but this was sufficient since we didn't have time to wait. We ordered inside and the clerks were very friendly and patient while we decided. We ordered two hamburgers, 1 hot dog, 1 chicken tender, and several fries, plus 3 sodas. The wait wasn't long. I had one of the burgers and honestly the meat was flat, wide, and thin. My burger kept failing apart. I actually wondered if the patty was every in one full piece but pieces put together. The taste was good just didn't like the messiness. My mom had the hotdog and really enjoyed it. The others with us enjoyed their food. This place is OK. A bit overpriced. My burger with lettuce, pickle, tomato, onion was good, but nothing to write home about. The fries were hot and crispy, but weren't seasoned at all. Free refills on the fountain drinks (bring your cup back to the register for refills). The indoor seating area is pretty tight during lunch on a weekday. I like this place! There are several factors, but, the main one is location. This restaurant has such a great location. It's centrally located in the downtown area. It's easy to find, it has clear signage. I was reminded of a downtown, big city, urban setting. It puts me in the mind of downtown Chicago, which I love. The restaurant is clean and they have a great staff. I can only imagine next summer it will be a nice draw to the ballpark area. It's good for dates, family time, a quick girls meet up, just a neat spot. I could go on and on about how much I like the place. The food is good. It's a fresh made burger, it's simple and good. I didn't care for the fries, but they aren't bad. I'll return, I'm sure, but I'll just stick to a burger and drink. read more

I noticed that they somehow got my review removed that I had posted last month when I had the misfortune of eating their greasy fried crispy rotating philly burger special. So here I am again trying to help another yelper from getting ripped off at this place. Grossly overpriced and bland, they fry their patties to a crisp on their griddle, there was a puddle of grease all over my burger wrapper and bag. Culvers has a way better burger for less than half the price. I talked about my bad experience to a few other friends I have in the area; they all shook their heads and I heard "oh yea that place is whack, not surprised". Their outdoor dining menu isn't extensive, but offered a few great options, including the veggie freak burger that I ordered. My boyfriend and I also split their shake of the day! There is outdoor seating along Jefferson, but as Hampton Inn guests, we walked to some secluded couch seating behind the hotel, which the restaurant is adjacent to. Don't waste your money here. Got the burger of the month and for over 11 bucks I was expecting a really good burger. It was barely big enough to be a snack and was probably made yesterday and thrown in the microwave when I ordered it. Great burger joint! Hidden gem next to a hotel and by the Tincaps ballpark. I'm a sucker for a good ol juicy cheeseburger. The queso with the fries was a nice little surprise. Fries are the thin shoestring fries that I love. They were perfectly fried so they were crispy but still tender. Was not super busy, but the service was excellent. Greeted when I came in, took my order, answered my questions about the menu and remembered me when my order was ready.
