Do NOT go here. Overpriced, small portions, very mediocre food. For all the food we ordered, it cost $89 before tax and tip. 3 Milkshakes, 1 Pizza, 3 Burgers. We could have done this at fast food, received better quality food and drinks, for half the price. I don't know why anyone goes here. So first, the service was fine, but it goes downhill after ordering. I asked if they had a milkshake menu, but apparently corporate decided to get rid of the milkshake menu and make all the waiters recite the menu over and over again. How stupid is that? Reese's, Salted Honey Cinnamon, Strawberry - $7 - The best one was strawberry, and that's not saying much. Every milkshake was so watery that we were drinking flavored milk more than ice cream. The waitress even got my milkshake on my shoes. She apologizes about how watery it is, but that's it. She even says she'll bring over more napkins (cause it was dripping all down our cups too), but she forgot to come back with the napkins a few times, so it took a long time to get more napkins. At least they got rid of paper straws, cause at one point a few years ago, you couldn't even suck up the milkshake through the paper straws cause the paper straws disintegrated. Back then, I asked for a spoon, and they said they didn't have any. Now, back to today, the straws are plastic again, but I couldn't even suck up at Reese's cups cause they don't fit through the straw. At least this time I had a fork. What a disaster. Don't get milkshakes here. 0/5 stars. "Tavern" Style Pizza Hot Honey - $17.50 - The flavor was good, but it was a soft crust pizza, definitely not tavern style at all. 3/5 stars. All of the burgers are small, like Culver's small, and you're paying 3x the price. The fries are soggy and needed salt. Train Wreck Burger - $18 - This was mine, and it was just ok, but probably better than the other two. 3/5 stars. Mushroom Swiss Burger - $16 - This one the meat tasted worse than mine. I don't know why there's different ground beef patties? 1/5 stars. Stacked Patty Melt - $16.50 - Husband got this one, and he didn't like it. He said the bread tasted stale. 1/5 stars. Just don't go here. You wanna spend about $100 for 3 people to eat? What a waste of money. Small portions, overpriced, terrible quality. Oh, and some tables are sticky, even after the hostess cleans them. read more

One of my favorite burger restaurants, their patties are so delicious and juicy, the fries are also amazing. Servers are always checking out and very friendly. Husband had the Biggie Burger and I had the Hot Honey Chicken. We both walked away with a ton of leftover fries because we were full. The burger had a lot of toppings and the meat was lightly seasoned. I got extra hot honey which matched with the chicken well. Our waitress was prompt and there when we needed her. I've been to Bagger Dave's multiple times. I've never been a big fan. They fit a certain food fare that isn't Italian or Chinese in this area. They have a large facility and provide a large menu of decent food and at a value price. I've never been all that impressed by the service here. Tonight was over the top. I have NEVER walked out of a restaurant until tonight. The hostess seated us at a table one the MIDDLE of the dining room. There were lots of tables that surrounded us with active waitresses. We sat for 10 minutes with no one stopping to get us going. We flagged down a waitress and asked her to send a waitress our way. Five minutes later....no waitress. We then stopped the hostess and asked for a waitress. She went back to the waitress team that was just standing talking to each other outside the kitchen. You could tell she said something as they all looked our direction. After 5 more minutes of not a single waitress stepping up to serve us...we walked out. We came by the other day for a quick bite before another activity. Our server was great and was able to get us in and out in a timely manner. Our burger were delicious and cooked perfectly! I really enjoy the homemade sauces that go great with the fries or to top on your burger. I enjoy that everything is really customizable for all eating habits. read more

Bagger Dave's has changed their menu loads of times since my last review. It seems they now have pizza. I've not tried it because the whole reason to go to Bagger Dave's is the burgers. Fries are a close second, but the burgers are what shine here. Gone are the Build Your Own papers and pencils (you can still order a build your own burger but it's all verbal). I admit I go for the Bacon Barbecue Burger every time. Newly allowed to eat gluten, I can't express how good the grilled brioche bun is. Heaven. The portion of fries that comes with the burgers has decreased, which is a little sad. On this most recent visit, there were highs and not-so-highs. We got seated immediately (around 5:30 on a Friday), which is much better than the 1.5-2 hour wait we would have faced down the street closer to Lima Road. The service was prompt and the food was delicious. I ordered an Aperol Spritz which was on the weak side and rather small for $10. My daughter got the Tavern Margarita that tasted mostly like mixer. $5.55 was an appropriate price I guess. Also I ordered a side of Mayo which never arrived. Oh well. I usually dip my fries in it, but the Santa Fe Chipotle was so excellent I didn't need it. Anyway. Will I go back? Definitely! We've gotten takeout several times, and dined in a few times. The food is consistently great, but a few years ago, they made the menu a little smaller and they took off our little girl's favorite entree. The restaurant is clean, and casual, and the wait staff is helpful and nice. read more

We are staying in a hotel nearby and got Bagger Dave's takeout for dinner. I'm going to preface this by saying, I know take out is not the ideal presentation and the food could be a bit better sitting in the restaurant. That being said, my family of four found our dinner to be not bad, but not amazing. We had a great American cheeseburger, pretty standard cheeseburger. Crispy cheese bacon burger, good concept, I bet it is better at the restaurant when the cheese crisp is super fresh. Both burgers needed a bit more seasoning. Fish and chips was good. Blue cheese burger was good. Turkey black bean chili was not bad but was lacking that flavor melding that comes from cooking all day. The fries were good but really needed salt. Bagger Dave's ads kept popping up on social media, and since it had been a very long time since we had gone and it looked as tho they had some new burgers, we opted to go there for lunch. We were the second table to be seated after opening, so the place was pretty empty. The music wasn't loud at all, but as we sat there, we noticed that the employees were certainly having a great time talking to each other. Loudly. Then the music continued to get louder until it was hard to communicate at times. Our server came and took our drink orders. We perused the menu for the new burgers we saw, but the menu seemed the same to us. For a restaurant who has "burgers" as their main draw, 8 variations (two of which have the same ingredients save for the cheese being different) seems limited to me. I admit I'm a burger snob, so I love to see a lot of options on the menu. So... I went with the one I have had each time we've visited. The BBQ Bacon Burger. Spouse did the same. We substituted onion rings for the fries (upcharge:$2.95), instead of having onion rings for the appetizer: $6.95. Our server left, then came back and asked if we wanted the onion rings brought out before the burger since it is considered an appetizer... We were a little confused. We told her we ordered them as a side, but she insisted that they were still considered an appetizer even tho we ordered them as a side. We asked if they were brought out as an appetizer, would we be getting fries with the burger? She said no. The onion rings are the side. Shaking our heads to ourselves, we told her we wanted them with the burger. The server was kind, but I do think some extra training might help her. We ordered the burgers medium and substituted chipotle bbq for the regular bbq that normally comes on the burger. Our meals came, and the onion rings were very tasty. I wouldn't put them in the same league as Red Robin, but they were good. Our burgers were cooked to order and also had a lot of taste... except... where was the bbq sauce?? I used to Love Bagger Dave's but my last two visits there have changed my mind. A couple weeks ago, I picked up my order, took it home to realize I was given the wrong order. I hadn't checked and these things happen. I called the restaurant to tell them I had the wrong order. the staff member that answered was very rude. I had to insist that I get a refund for the difference (because I didn't want to go back to the restaurant). She agreed then I had to insist and wait for her to run the numbers. My credit would be $5 on my next order. I went in the next week, placed my order and used my $5 credit. I ordered chicken tenders and fries which I've order several times because I love their taste. This order was awful. They tasted like they had been cooked in old grease. There was more gristle than meat. The skin was overly crispy, and the meat was dry. No more for me. read more

I've had a chance to visit 2x over the course of 10days. I can honestly say they have one of the best burgers I've ever had. It's tender, meaty, juicy, and full of flavor. The burger is so big, it's almost shareable, but I don't do that. It comes packed with lettuce, tomato, pickle, mayo( yuck- I ask that if be left off), ketchup, and mustard. The vegetables are crisp and clean, no ugly spots, and add a touch of flare to the burger. I was pleased both times. The fries are ok, not the best, but ok. The atmosphere is clean and almost quaint. Due to Covid19, they appear to have social distance guidelines for tables arranged. They have a friendly and efficient staff. Well worth a try. read more

Went there Saturday at 5:45pm, they looked to be at about 60% capacity... so not super crowded or busy. We ordered drinks and two appetizers. Within 15 minutes our appetizers arrived (no utensils or napkins), and still had no drinks. I had to show the waiter and remind him we had no silverware. After 5 more minutes I flagged down a different waitress asking why we did not have our drinks that we had ordered 20 minutes ago. She apologized and said their bar was "backed up". At the 25 minute mark our 3 beers finally arrived well after we had the appetizers. We finally ended up with our food and one of the Caesar salads we ordered had been brought out with NO dressing on it. This place has done nothing but go steadily downhill since they originally opened here in Fort Wayne, Indiana. We won't be going back and if you're looking for a much better burger experience I'd suggest Red Robin or Five Guys... stay away from Bagger Dave's. read more

Service was ok, but Our server was also the bartender and therefore had double duty and not able to provide us with the attention that we would have gotten with a dedicated server. .. however she did prevail and provide adequate service...but nothing special. Came here for lunch on a Friday, was seated right away! Atmosphere is super cool, they also have a nice patio for outdoor seating. Our server was great! I got the crazy train grilled cheese on sourdough bread with the soup that came with the meal, both super delicious! Only thing I would change is there are apples that come on the sandwich, kind of random to me but I tried it out. It was fine, but I think I'd prefer the sandwich without them. I've had Bagger Dave's once before for takeout, decided to come back since a restaurant down the street had too long of a wait. Definitely not disappointed. The BOM burger was absolutely delicious (10/10), french fries were crispy and hot, cole slaw is the good kind of cole slaw (you all know what I mean) and the chicken tenders were okay! I'm a ride or die shoestring fry girl but these fries are still small and had a good size to crisp ratio. The tenders definitely had more breading than chicken but they're definitely an average tender. 4 stars because nothing blew me away besides the burger. read more

Ordered the fish basket and the fried pickles. The fish basket wasn't anything different than anywhere else but it perfectly meets expectations. Thicker cuts of fish battered and fried with a fair portion of fries. The fried pickles came out late but that was due to a miscommunication and the server got them out promptly and fresh with a double order and comped them off our order. First time diners at this restaurant. I ordered the cheeseburger and asked to swap american cheese with swiss cheese, which they did. Accompanied mine with the house french fries. My husband ordered the barbeque bacon burger, but thought extra barbeque sauce would have made him happy. He chose onion rings for his side. Everything was prepared well per our requests. Service was prompt and efficient. The atmosphere was good and i liked that the tables were placed so that everyone had some space. One thing that we noticed right away about the birds when they came out they were two perfectly shaped. Meaning they had to been frozen. As far as taste goes they were just ok. I will say my husbands sandwich was a train wreck. Very messy sandwich. In the end, we were both disappointed in our meals. If a place is going to advertise best burgers then maybe they shouldn't come already processed. Doesn't matter how good toppings are, if the burger isn't good ... it won't be good. My wife and I wanted burgers, so we picked the closest place with "burger" in the name. The staff was really nice, the place was very clean, and the food came out super fast and hot... but, the burger (which was the entire reason for stopping in) actually tasted like nothing. Finally got the chance to eat in after ordering takeout five times. I couldn't stay away from the Smokin' Hot Mac n Cheese but I did veer out of the burger lane to try the California BLT on sourdough. My other half attempted the Freight Train burger challenge which includes five beef patties and a pound of fries! Needless to say, as delicious as he claimed his meal was, he could not finish it all. The Chocolate Trainwreck (a very rich cake slice) was the perfect dessert to complete the meal and I recommend it all and will be back again soon.
