I have ordered from this location probably five times since I moved to the area. Never thought to review it because Jimmy John's is fairly consistent across the board. If you like them, you will be lured no matter where they're located and can depend on the reliability of each store... Last visit was a different story. My family ordered three 8-inch subs and 2 Lil' John's for the kids for dinner. When we got home, we started eating but my son wasn't diving in like everyone else. I wanted to help him along, but when I picked up his sandwich I noticed there was mold on it. I'm not adverse to a little mold, but there were multiple spots. I took a picture of the largest spot and offered to show the manager. He didn't want to see the picture and told me "he wasn't going to call me a liar over the phone" but that they bake their bread fresh daily. I know this. All Jimmy John's patrons know this. DUDE that is why I choose to eat here. The freshness and fast-ness! But when I have a receipt for my order, and a picture of the sandwich, how can you deny that the bread is definitely growing something out of the top? Is it possible your previous shift didn't toss the old bread? The manager claimed he baked the bread himself at 3pm and my family ordered around 6:30. Ok, I believe him. But why is there mold on the sandwich? Maybe the Lil' John sub rolls weren't fresh? Maybe they were stored in a humid area? I don't make it my business to study the culture of bread mold. Needless to say, we threw the sandwich away and my son split what was left of his sister's food. What sucks is the customer service aspect of this situation. I have managed a restaurant before and if my guest had to throw their food away, I would absolutely extend some sort of courtesy to make sure they were satisfied. Because of the way the manager handled this situation, I deleted the Jimmy John's app from my phone and will stop at Jersey Mikes next time, even though it's miles out of the way. And if I find myself in this shopping center again, I will literally choose any other restaurant to order from. The Jimmy John's on Coldwater seems to run a tighter ship, but my stomach is turned from visiting any other location again. Don't order the tuna here. It has more celery in it than tuna. Taste kind of nasty. The manager told me I can't get just tuna here, has to have the celery in it. I don't mind a little celery , but the celery over powers the tuna and the sandwich taste a bit funny. They state to make the tuna in store, so tells me the manager trying to boost profits by adding tons of celery to the tuna. I see your angle. Celery is a cheap filler. This has long been a fast and non-greasy dinner option for us while we drive down to my mil's in Ohio. The last time, I swore I'd never go back - the staff, all young men, were loud, the music was loud and obtrusive, our sandwiches were sloppy, and a staff member swept around our table while we were sitting there. It was a distressing dining experience and we couldn't get out of there fast enough. I guess I forgot, because from habit and hunger, I stopped in again while driving south last week. Never again. The staff was better, but the music was still really loud, and my turkey sandwich had almost no turkey on it. I ate half and then left, annoyed that I had wasted my money on bread and mayonnaise, and was still hungry. There are plenty of great places to eat along DuPont road...keep driving. read more

I wanted to custom a couple of the sandwiches; and then the A-Hole with attitude gets short with me and says, "You can see what comes on them!" I won't be back to this location; and maybe all. I love JJ's. I know, I know... it's not healthy. Okay, fine. But sometimes you just need to eat some bread and this is some of the best. I don't know what they do to it, but I love it. Okay, you know what a JJ's is, so I'll stop there. But what I particularly liked about this location is that the parking was pretty decent and they seemed to have quite a bit of guac on my Beach Club. Now that's what I'm talking about!!!! Jimmy Johns is a great place to grab an outstanding, fresh made sub on absolutely delicious bread! They have anything you could possibly want to too your sub, even sprouts. For those that are low carb, they have you covered there as well with the Jimmy Johns unwich, any sub you want from the menu they will put in a crisp lettuce wrap which is surprisingly tasty. Being the family man that I am I have to deduct a star due to the complete absence of booster seats or high chairs. Inexcusable IMO. Also lost a star for missing the usual "welcome to Jimmy Johns" upon entering but they earned it back by the very friendly manager who said she really appreciated us coming in while she was leaving. Told me they couldn't deliver to me because I wasn't in the delivery district. I don't understand how they map that, because it was literally a five minute drive from this location. So this reads like some kind of a bad joke and was a bit surreal at the time. I walk into Jimmy Johns this afternoon 36 weeks pregnant and needless to say, hungry. I ordered my food from a young man and it was ready "freaky fast". Except that their internet server wasn't responding, they said they'd let me know if they needed anything else, so I got my drink and was given my food. At this point they said the server wasn't connected and called a man over that I presume was the manager or some variation of that title. He wiggles a bunch of cables and said "I don't know" all while I stood there waiting. They asked if I had cash, I don't carry cash but I had a checkbook. Nope that wasn't going to fly. The manager wanted me to write my credit card info down to run later, and I said I wasn't comfortable with that, but that I had an appointment and could bring my card back after their server was working. He told me that he couldn't let me leave with food I couldn't pay for. No sir, I can pay for it, you just gave me the food before realizing you didn't have an adequate means to accept my payment. I had previously gone to this Jimmy Johns regularly, but will not be going back. If you want quality service to go along with your sub, I would recommend the downtown Fort Wayne Jimmy Johns, they are always extremely polite. read more

When I went to order it took nearly five minutes for them to understand that I wanted just turkey and cheese and my wife just wanted ham and lettuce. Then they made her sandwhich before we finished ordering and added the tomatoes and cheese we said we didn't want on the sandwhich. They need to take a second and slow down in order to get orders correct. I want my correct sandwhich more than I want it "crazy fast." The place is also pretty cramped with all the seating in a small hallway. Food tasted just as good as any jimmy johns though, that's why I gave the two stars. read more
