Great little market with lots of specialty items, locally produced foods, and a nice meat counter.

Our absolute favorite meat market. Great, old-fashioned atomosphere. We love the flavor of the meat, especially the 98% lean ground round.

I decided to try out Fresh Thyme market for one reason: Boars Head products. I heard they sold them…read moreand then i looked on its website and it confirmed it as well. I love sandwiches and when I used to live in South Florida, I would frequent a super marker called Publix which sold Boars Head products. My local deli is good but Boars Head, at least the memory of it, felt to be just better. So I drove up to Fresh Thyme in late may hoping for some sandwich goodness. I entered and made a bee-line right to the deli. Yes! Huzzah! It actually had Boar's Head products. Poor deli lady had a large order to cut. I got provolone cheese, havarti cheese, pepperoni, genoa salami, different types of hams and turkey. I, though, was very disappointed it did not carry the jerk turkey which i truly adore. It said it did on the website but it was wrong. I was explained by the deli lady, they are a smaller store so they do not carry all the boars head products a larger one would. Also disappointing the deli has no prepared foods except some rotisserie chicken. Still I had my boars head stuff and with some nice pumpernickel bread, I had it for lunch everyday for over a week. You read right... every day! Store had a lot of other great products, so i made my weekly grocery purchase here. More pricey than I am now used to but well worth it. Love this place! Got me some boars head!

This is a fun little store to visit every so often. Yes the food boxes and cans are damaged or…read moreclose to expiring but it all still taste the same once opened and with the prices marked so low you can't help yourself. They don't always have the same thing stocked and what might be there today won't be there tomorrow. Things go quick and the staff works fast to get it out as quick as they get it in. The staff is always friendly. Walking in you're greeted with an hello and they ask if they can help you. They are always busy and I've never heard any of them complain about their job like so many other places. The Building is old but that doesn't stop them from keeping it clean and looking good. They even have their own parking lot that is easy to get to and park and then walk inside. They offer shopping carts too! They take cash or credit but they don't offer a public bathroom. When you go, and I highly recommend going, take your time and leisurely walk up and down the isle. Sometimes you can find some rare grocery items that I've never seen st the grocery store. This isn't a store you'd visit daily but weekly could very well happen. Highly recommend stopping by and seeing for yourself what this gem of a store has to offer. D

I was looking at a lot of reviews and I think you have to have the right mindset when you come into…read morethe store. It is a surplus store so yes, there are some food items that are slightly expired. However, most of the time these items are still safe to use or consume. They have a variety of different things that you find they have been cleared out of inventory at box stores. Overall, if you go in with a lowered expectation, you'll actually have a fun shopping experience. For example, on my first visit, I found violin strings that were selling for two dollar a box when they normally run $20. Now I have enough violin strings that will last until they finish playing musical instruments.
