We've been fans of Panera for years. We often stop at this location before heading back to Louisville. Service at this location is pretty hit-or-miss. Most often it's pretty good, but on one visit we sat and waited for nearly 15 minutes on food that was sitting on the counter because our pager didn't go off. On another occasion I had to take a sandwich back because it was cold and the employee went to put it in a microware. I asked for a new one instead and she did.not.like.that. Of the dozen or so times we've been to his location, though, the service has been pretty good. Likewise the food quality/accuracy. While I've yet to try their pizzas, I tend to stick with the "not really on the menu but you can still order it" Sierra Turkey sandwich and a Greek salad. While we're talking about their Greek salad...I love it to death...mostly. The downfall, almost every time, is the tomatoes. It frequently seems as if they're using yesterday's tomatoes, which tend to be squishy or mushy. The store is always clean. Staff is always impressively busy taking care of the dining room. In my experience, this location excels at keeping things neat and tidy. I guess the best way to put it would be to state that it's consistently inconsistent. I know they had a rough go of it during the throes of COVID and have been trying to recover since. Based on a few previous visits they've come a long way, and that's awesome. read more

Whew, so little to like, so much to say. I stopped in this morning to a light crowd. Now, I'm understanding why. I ordered a soufflé and 3 pastry items. Someone packaged it all together. The pastries were smushed and the soufflé grease leaked through the bag. I had to return the pasties for new ones. No apology. I asked that my new pastries be placed in a box. The clerk placed the box on TOP of cookies in the bakery made fresh for the day. I was appalled. I will not return, too many small things in one short visit. read more

Decided to try Panera's new coffee subscription for the first time. This location was pretty busy! I sat inside and was able to find a socially distanced table. For the hour that I was there, I did not see any employees wiping down tables even though one had water spilled on it and another had some napkins. Also, there was an unattended laptop on a table the whole time I was there so I thought that was strange. So even though there are signs posted everywhere that they are disinfecting and sanitizing everything often, I'm not sure how often that actually is. read more

I have been to this Panara many times as it is normally the closest for me. Most of the time I'm able to eat in sometimes not. When I get my order to go, EVERY single time they either forget/short something or the sandwich was essentially all bread. It really puts me out since I don't live in town and I'm taking it to go. This time I was missing my soup and they gave me stale croutons for the salad. If you go here, check the food before you drive off. read more

I visited the Coliseum location yesterday evening in Fort Wayne and here's why it's awful: 1. They want you to place your order on the kiosk while someone stands doing nothing at the register. One of the two kiosks were out of order. The kiosk asks if you would like to leave a tip - FOR WHOM? MYSELF? 2. They advertise that their food is fresh, however, I watched them plop the mac & cheese into the bowl from a microwaved plastic pouch. 3. They used to have real utensils, now they serve everything with individually wrapped plastic ones. Side note: the last time I visited the Dupont location, I asked the girl at the register which ones of the salads came with white meat. She said she didn't know and then just stared at me instead of going to ask someone. Panera is completely overpriced and disappointing. read more

This Panera Bread was wholly unprepared for any amount of customers. They were entirely out of certain types of bread and had to defrost macaroni and cheese. When they defrosted the mac and cheese, the noodles came out overcooked and tough. Luckily, my sandwich was still good. read more

It's a Panera. But it's got an updated style than most I've visited. The quickie pick up area is cool and they even have a monitor that tells you what order is up/ waiting. That's pretty cool. I find hair in my food, never give me utensils, I've waited at curbside pickup until I'm fed up and just gotta go in myself while the staff is just standing around texting. Do not visit this location. The store is filthy, so unless you want to sit in filth do not go In, I did curbside pick up. I notified them I had arrived. Someone had come out for another order and could see there were cars waiting. After 20 minutes I called and it rang and disconnected, I did this again with the same result. I went in and they went to the back and got my order. Held it out for me to take no "sorry about the mix up or have a nice day" No spoon for the oatmeal, no knife for the cream cheese, no straws for the iced coffees. Wasted trip as we were on the road. The Managment at this location is horrible. I have no issues with any other locations but they are not close, so I do not frequent Panera often. In my opinion this is your typical, overpriced chain eatery. Does it possess a few better perks than a few other chain places? Yes! Cleaner? Yes. Friendlier? A lot more friendly. The many that we have in Fort Wayne are all decorated the same, have the same standard of friendly greetings, drinks and on and on. For the most part it's clean inside with many tables and booths to choose from. It's always busy with certain times of the day more busy and many people often sit and relax while the bombard the internet with their favorite pastimes or legit homework! Free internet is the not so working class favorite thing. And while there is unlimited refills on all your beverages it makes it very easy to sit for long periods of time. Making it hard for people who actually want to sit down and enjoy their work lunch or lunch with friends etc. I partake in the mobile app a lot. I also order at the counter. Either way and at any of the locations my order seems to be wrong. I ask to cut bagel sandwiches in half, never done. Toasted? Forget it. Add extra spinach etc not a chance. It drives me crazy. ESP if I order a mobile to go. It's so hard to grab the attention of an employee to rectify the mistake. Or they leave something out all together. Ugh. High prices. Why? Why does a drink cost almost $3. A sandwich $9? Terrible for semi healthy over sodiumized food. But it's a better option than other places. Dirty trash stations. Does it have to be this way? AND THE WORST.....the temp is set at FREEEEEEZING!!! Which is why I rarely eat inside. I prefer the outdoor patio where it's warm and sunny thank you. Patio is covered but little rays of beautiful sunshine like thru. This patio tho faces a busy street and is noisy. I frequent Panera especially when traveling. I enjoy the fresh food and don't mind paying a little extra for the quality. This location however has been disappointing.. I've stopped here twice and both times the restaurant and restrooms were dirty and the bread was stale. If it had just been one stop j would assume it was a bad day, but since it's happened twice I feel it's the management. I've noted this location in my map and will skip it going forward. read more

I ordered CREAM of chicken and wild rice soup to eat in the restaurant. Needless to say my soup was not creamy, they packed it to go and they never called my name. When I went up to see where my soup was after 10 minutes and it was sitting on the counter in a bag. My creamy soup was like the broth of chicken noodle soup and was terrible. A great location I enjoy frequenting. It is always clean and the atmosphere is cozy. It is quiet enough to get some work done but busy enough that I do not feel "alone." Obviously try their breads. The bagels are great for breakfast and their desserts are on point. I usually hang with the evening crowd and the ordering process is smooth and efficient. I have heard good things about the Mac n cheese but I prefer the soups and sandwiches. I also love knowing about all the charitable donating they do in the LOCAL community. This was the most disgusting Panera I have ever been in. I would give it zero stars if I could. Trash all over the floors, dishes just stacked up - and it wasn't even busy. I told the manager there was food all over the floor (and why would I even need to tell them) and she just snubbed me. I will never give this location a second change - way too disgusting!! Over the span of three days my wife and I made a visit each day. Unknown to each other, except on the third day we went together... Ordered soup in a breadbowl. Each visit. They charged us.. gave us our little notifying device.. and sent us on our way.... Not before trying to sell us their featured cookie that they were out of... Ten minutes later. We are informed that they don't have breadbowls but they would just put it in a normal bowl for us... Not mentioning that what we ordered was more expensive.... Three separate visits. Same result. I stop at this Panera frequently but last night's choice was a MAJOR disappointment. 2 of the 3 things I ordered they were out of. The gal at the drive-thru ordering said they hadn't gotten their truck. There was no offer of a substitution or discount. I ordered the Teriyaki Chicken which was far from a meal size portion for the whole. When I got home, there was less than 1/2 cup total in the bowl, rice and chicken together!!! The rice was under cooked and way too firm. The little chicken in it was flavorful, but that's the best I can say of the entire order. This was my favorite restaurant until my name and gender change. They have an extremely homophobic staff. Including the so called manager. I went there once a week and they always called out my deadname. Now that I have legally changed my name and present as female they refuse to call me by my new name. Instead they threw my sandwich in the pickup window on a plate even though the order was to go. Instead of using my name which they always have. They said Medveg. I was supposed to know this was not someone's name which they always use. It was an abbreviated form of the sandwhich I ordered. Which they have never used for my orders. This explains why the kids that worked there kept laughing. They knew it was my order and refused to tell me. I had to fight tooth and nail with the Trans phobic manager. I even had to threaten to call 911 on them to get my refund. Totally disgusting. It is time for barbarians to join the 21st century and quit living in the dark ages. Also I have lawyers that work pro bono for LGBTQ discrimination. I'm going to run it by them Monday to see if I have a case. Either way it will be on record. So if this treatment keeps happening to others it will add up to a successful discrimination lawsuit in the end. read more

I would recommend using the online ordering feature ONLY with great caution, because there's always something that they will leave out of your order. Occasionally, it'll be noted on the order slip but many times not and you walk right out without all of the food that you've paid for. So they'll cheat you and think nothing of it. The kids meals are so minuscule compared to what their sandwich sizes were in the past. Also they gave me a wrong menu item in which I can't eat. I spent a decent amount of money for my family's meals today. By time I was home about 20 miles away I discovered their error because my order was buried under my kids meals. Normally we have a great experience at Panera. But last Saturday my daughter and I got the very same item, the one we get all the time. We got the Frontega chicken sandwich and the broccoli and cheddar soup. The thing about our experience that was a bad was the broccoli and cheddar soup. It was thin and runny. We have never experienced this at Panera. The person taking our order forgot our drinks, Gave us drinks for free but totally watered them down. Ordered online 50 minutes ahead and when I got there they didn't even bother to look outside. Its not 15 minutes after they close and I am still waiting for my food. When you select quick pick up you do not think you will wait 25 minutes in the parking lot. Once we finally got the food they didn't give us our drink and we had to come back. The cashier ignored us for five minutes until she looked up and said that they weren't serving breakfast anymore since it was past 11am- even though she knew we had been waiting in line. Not cool, Panera. She then stood there and stared blankly at us when we asked why she ignored us for five minutes and pointed out that we had been the only people in line.
