If you want great food with authentic flavors, this is your place! Paola and her family are from Italy which is clear with the amazing quality and flavor of the food. I've been coming here for well over 20 years, back when it was still a Bravo pizza but everyone in town called it Paolas place. This place is a community staple owed by an amazing woman who has always produced the highest quality of food. You literally can't go wrong with anything you try here. I couldn't decide on which salad I wanted so he told me I could get half and half. I went half kale and half Greek. The Kale has a great flavor with creamy goat cheese and the Greek salad has plenty of fresh feta, tomatoes, and onions. The margarita pizza was great. Crispy thin crust every time.

My coworkers and I came here for a late lunch! Parking is meter parking only in front of the restaurant or the side streets. The place is a casual pizza shop where you can get a slice to go or order food and sit at the tables in the back of the restaurant. We all ordered a pizza (my one friend go the chicken caprese) and picked out a table to sit down and wait. The staff is super friendly and brought our food out to us. I got the American pizza with pepperoni, sausage, peppers, onions and mushrooms. The veggies were very fresh and the crust was thin with not much crust (which I like! More pizza, less crust). It was absolutely delicious :) My one coworker is GF and she got the GF pizza. She said it was super good for a GF pizza and ate her whole pizza. I think everyone enjoyed their pizzas and the atmosphere (cozy pizza shop that has Italian music playing softly in the background). I got a tiramisu to go as well and that was also really good. Can't wait to come back and try other pizzas :)

Folks, this is the spot. After moving to Berwyn a couple of months ago, I've been looking for a solid pizza/pasta place close by and I am so happy I found it. First of all, the ambiance of this place is so warm and charming. You can tell this place was built with love for their family and what they do. They are decorated ABSOLUTELY beautiful for Christmas outside but even inside was nice and spacious with a very large counter with an array of pizzas, pastas, and salads ready to order. I walked in to place a to go order was greeted with a warm smile by a woman who I want to assume is one of the owners. I ordered a 12 inch plain and chicken parm dinner to go. I saw a big platter of homemade chicken cutlets which was already a good sign. Can't tell you how many pizza/pasta spots use chicken fingers that are frozen which I despise, but with the name Paola's I never had a doubt I'd be disappointed. I went at about 4:15 on a Thursday and waited about ten minutes which was great for a walk in order. The pizza was SO good. The crust is so thin which I love, and the cheese to sauce ratio was perfect. I think because it is so thin, the crust MAYBE could have been done a little more, but that is my personal preference and not so much a critique. The chicken parm did NOT disappoint. I cannot tell you how many chicken parm dinners I've ordered where no the chicken is chewy and rubbery, but not here! The cutlet was pounded so thin and still stood up to all the sauce and cheese so well. Every bite I took I couldn't believe how well they nailed this cutlet. Any Italian knows what I mean. I've been thinking about this place since I left and I fully intend to go back asap. Def want to try their homemade gnocchi and ravs next!

We stopped by after a movie on Saturday for our first visit and had a solid experience. It's not a pizza shop I would go out of your way for, but absolutely one I would recommend to frequent if you are in the area. I loved reading the "About us" online about Paola and her family's story. When we first arrived, we were greeted by smiles from everyone behind the register and manning the oven. We opted to try the tortellini and Paola's pizza and a side of green salad, brought our total to $50 and had enough leftovers for a second meal between two people. The tortellini was okay overall. For the price point, I think it's more than fair given the portion, but the pasta was slightly overcooked and the flavor was a little bland for my taste. The pizza was solid. On first glance, the dough doesn't look like much - but it's a solid dough and we loved the pairing of flavors between the gorgonzola, fresh tomato and arugula. Service is interesting! It seems to be half self serve, order at the counter but wait service thereafter. There is wait staff to bring you food, drinks, and the bill. I would definitely consider Paola's the next time I'm in this neighborhood

I came here for dinner with my husband after going to the King of Prussia mall. We had a caprese salad and mozzarella sticks, followed by two 12-inch pizzas. Everything was delicious. The pizza dough was light and flavorful; the ingredients tasted fresh. I am particular about my tomatoes when it comes to caprese salad, and the tomatoes here were juicy and again, flavorful. The service was warm, and the "family spirit" of the restaurant was obvious. The owners / workers there clearly take pride in what they do. Overall, we would return for the good food, warm atmosphere; and reasonable price point. As a bonus, downtown Wayne is very charming!

We came for dinner and tried a variety of items. I'll start with the best to worst. We had the penne alla vodka, which came in a great cream sauce. We had a friend from out of town visiting so we also ordered the cheesesteak. It came on a nice soft roll and was surprisingly one of the better items we had. Next was the Hawaiian pizza. The pizza was kind of soggy and I was disappointed by this considering it was a pizza shop. The worst item we had was the eggplant rollatini. It was just a bad combination of flavors. I definitely would not get that again. The kids also tried the mini cannolis and seemed to enjoy it. Food overall is either a hit or miss. I'll have to review this again after we've tried more dishes but based on my initial impression, I would stick with the pasta dishes (but not the eggplant rollatini). Paola herself was behind the counter and the service overall here is wonderful. They have a lot of ready made items as well as made to order items. I am not sure how it works exactly. I would have liked to try the tortellini but wanted it warm and didn't want to get it since it was already made. Perhaps they warm it up if you dine in? The shop is located in downtown Wayne, which has street parking available.

Great food. So much more than a pizza shop. The food, atmosphere, and service is all absolutely stellar. Everyone on the staff was friendly, good natured, helpful, and had a good sense of humor. I went to lunch with a good sized group (at least 10-15 people). Food orders were called in ahead of time and was promptly served soon after our arrival. The food was all delicious from the accounts of everyone in the group. I had a small tomato pie pizza (not the thick crust normal one). In my mind, I pictured a thicker crust and sauce that was also thicker - but I was wrong. They know there business and delivered an epic thin crust pizza that was absolutely perfect. The crust had just the right amount of crunch, the sauce was bursting with flavor. It all worked. I'll definitely be happy to revisit Paola's anytime I'm in the area. Thanks for a great meal and dining experience!

We were in town for a lacrosse tournament and wanted a place to have a team dinner. The owners at Paola's were friendly and made us feel very comfortable. The food was terrific. All the parents were happy and so were the kids. The freshly made salads (kale salad!), the pasta dishes, pizza and sandwiches (hoagie??) were all delicious. I highly recommend Paola's and will be back next time we are in town. read more

Great, friendly and fast service. It also is the best pizza in the area hands down. Tons of pizza shops in the KOP area where I live but none stack up to this place so I go out of my way when I want pizza to get Paola's. My only complaint would be they don't offer delivery (not even grubhub or ubereats). I understand why they don't do this but given their location it makes it a bit of a pain to ever go there for take-out -- other than that it's the best! read more

Food is delicious and ready to go (dine in or take out) really quickly. They have a beautiful selection of fresh daily pastas, pizzas by the slice, and yummy veggie sides/salads. Great place to go when you want a homemade Italian dinner flavor at a fast food pace. Yum yum! read more

Paola's is a great place for pizza. It is very fresh and delicious and authentic. The owner is very sweet and the employees are as well. The chicken parmigiana is really good. The Cheese pizza and the margarita pizza is also a must have. Did I forget to mention the cannolis, they are the finale to it all. They are sooo good. The location is perfect. I can walk from Eastern University, which is worth the walk for me to get food other than dining commons food. I have not been in a couple of months. I look forward to coming back and indulging in some good pizza. It is right by the Wayne Septa train station. read more

This is a little hidden gem--- hiding in plain sight. Unbeknownst to me, it sits right on the main street in Wayne- on North Wayne Avenue, surrounded by trendy, upscale restaurants. I was taken there for a belated birthday dinner with family and had a reservation for 6. Upon arriving, we were told that they did not see our reservation anywhere in their books. One of the folks in my party had talked to the owner the day before and made the reservation. You see, the owner had to take off unexpectedly that evening and so no one could verify it with her. Grrrrrrrrr...... So....here we go. If you have ever been here, you know that the restaurant cannot hold a table of 4 or more. But wait --there is a secret room in the back and the person in charge opened the room just for us (Yay!) but the room was not prepared yet for the party of 6 (Boo!). I kept praying to the birthday gods that this was going to turn out okay.... And the gods were smiling on me. After a rocky start, the evening turned out pretty nice. We had the whole room to ourselves, complimentary antipasto, complimentary wine (when we had finished off our bottle!) and a very nice server named Michael who really turned what could have been a disasterous event to an awesome birthday dinner. Oh and the food! Magnifico! Everything is homemade- pasta, gravy, meatballs, bread, desserts.... If you are looking for a nice Italian BYOB restaurant but nothing over the top, you should try this place. I think you will like it. Mangiare!!!!! read more

Best italian food I've found in the area! A lot of it is made to order, and all of it is excellent. The fettuccine alfredo and white pizza are my favorite because they're super cheesy, but not overwhelmingly so. It's also BYOB, so go in, order some delicious, homemade italian food and enjoy a bottle or two of wine! read more

This place for starters had a great split of being a great takeout place and restaurant. The spread they had to for you to pick from was phenomenal! I went in just wanting a cheesesteak which I did get, but left wanting to try the stuffed peppers, their generous slices and some of the pasta dishes. Young guy working the counter was friendly and helpful as was the waitress. The cheesesteak I had was perfect, especially the cheese melted onto the bread instead of the meat. Girlfriend had heir tomato pie since you can't hide bad pizza under tons of cheese on those and she wasn't disappointed. Wrapped up with their Tiramisu on he way out and already looking forward to trying a pie from them. read more

Everything is good but try whatever specials they have made that day- they're always amazing. I had their sausage lasagna this past weekend and it was probably the best lasagna I've ever had! My boyfriend works in downtown wayne so we have tried a lot of the food places there. We stopped here for lunch a couple weeks ago. I just got a slice of pizza, it was pretty good but nothing outstanding. The slices were a little pricey but they are large which kinda makes up for it. The service was good. The interior of the place is very nice and looks way fancier than your typical pizza place. read more

The margherita pizza is decent here. The crust is thin and crispy and the sauce flavorful. It's not the best in the area but it is pretty good. Plus, they sell individual slices, which is handy if you want a quick bite while shopping in Wayne. read more

I have been frequenting Bravo pizza for almost 8 years now and it never ceases to amaze me the richness of the food and the quality of people who work there. I haven't been to Bravo in almost half a year and I am sure a million customers walk in and out of there because of how nice Paula and the gang are, but even after all that time, I walk in and she says, "Hey Derek! How you been?! I got a good BBQ chicken today!" This is without a doubt my favorite pizza joint on the planet. An extremely high recommendation. And when you go, get a bread-stick with a small cup of their homemade marinara sauce... I'm drooling thinking about it. Happy Eating! read more

This is the best tasting pizza in the main line in my opinion. The people there are always extremely friendly. I honestly don't know why other pizza joints get more attention then these guys. Definitely a go to spot for me! I love that this is a family owned business. Everyone is so friendly! Everything is made fresh. I've never gotten a bad meal. The pasta is always amazing. The garlic knots are to die for. The cannolis are a must! They have a nice back room for big events. Can get crowded at night with families and is a tad loud. However, I never pass up a meal here and I always recommend it as my first choice in Wayne if you want Italian. Also very fairly priced. read more

Visited for lunch of a few slices. Available selection was somewhat limited. One of two ordered slices was actually falling apart, with about 20% of underlying crust missing. They still served it without explanation, apology, or discount. Tables and bathroom not exactly clean, especially considering that it wasn't very busy. Staff was friendly (although careless) and slices tasted pretty good if you closed your eyes. read more

This is probably some of the best pizza we've had in the Main Line area. We ordered a medium cheese pizza, to go. It had a perfect amount of their sweet tomato sauce and flavorful cheese. A little crispier crust would have definitely put it over the top for me, but I did have it to go, which probably didn't help. The staff was very nice and the restaurant is very welcoming. This will be our new "go to" pizza spot near home. read more

Possibly the thinnest crust I've ever had! Very delicious pizza. Tried a plain slice & a Brooklyn slice..... both were great. Also tried a personal Stromboli, (Italian), very good crust. We shared a Tiramisu, but I wish we'd have each gotten our own because it was excellent. Was hoping to try ricotta cheesecake, but it was sold out. Three things make this place great. The fresh dough, the hot brick oven and the people! The owner was there and was so nice and sincere. You could tell she worked hard and took great pride in what she does. I wish it were closer to home! read more

This is authentic Italian pizza at its best. After living in Italy for 3.5yrs, I am a Pizza snob. With their Photo of Padre Pio, native Italian speakers and best crust/sauce since I have returned, they are the real deal. They have a varied selection of authentic Italian pizzas as well! Paola's is one of my favorite neighborhood dinner spots. The family is always nice and welcoming, and seem to know many of their customers by name. Their pasta is always delicious, and because they do different ones every day, there's always something new to try. Lasagna is on their standard menu, (always available) and both the spinach and the meat were fabulous. I have tried two salads - the caprese and the kale salad - and they are also delicious. I get the kale salad with chicken pretty consistently, even though I'm not a huge fan of kale. My husband got their pizza one day, and we weren't the biggest fans, but everything else (including the garlic bread) is so tasty, that we are going to try again. BYOB makes this a no-brainer when my hubby and I want to bring friends to a good spot with fast, friendly service, close to home. Closed Mondays. read more

We had a great experience. Visiting from dc, near our Valley Forge hotel. Pizzas were great, appetizers, chicken cutlets and the specials of the day all on display at the front of the restaurant were amazing. Need to come back and try the fresh pastas! Stopped in for the first time for a quick bite to eat on a late fri eve. BYOB/W and awesome service. Ordered margarita and bbq chicken pizza slices. also had mozzarella and tomato salad and spaghetti and meatballs. Family owned and operated, everyone was friendly. Place was empty but all the food was fresh and tasted great! Will definitely be back. read more

When I got to my table I will say my server was very nice until a strange comment came up at dessert. Once I ordered my dessert, he left and came back with two spoons, saying "I brought two spoons for us." It almost seemed implied he'd join me. I dine a lot alone, voluntarily. Most of the time it's after work and I really don't want, let alone need, company. His comment gave me anxiety as I wondered how I would politely tell this man I wanted to dine alone. When he brought the dessert he did not join me but made sure to say "I'll be back for a few bites." Maybe it was a joke but to me it was very odd and made me pretty uncomfortable. I gave three stars just for the Cacio e Pepe. It was very good. I did (without giving tmi) have a very sick stomach after the meal and the morning after so I wouldn't return just incase that was the cause. Like a said... a weird experience.

The bread soaked up the au jus nicely while not making it overly soggy or falling apart. The pork itself though was delicious! It was very tender and the thing I loved most about it was there seemed to be black pepper mixed in with the pork which complemented the au jus perfectly. I'm not kidding, I think I'm going to have dreams about those flavors going forward. I could probably drink that au jus, but I won't. Paola's is what a small local italian/pizza place should be. It's not an overly formal eat-in place but certainly nicer then your greasy pizza place. It's 100% family friend and Paola is usually in the restaurant with a smile or her family! The food is excellent! It's prepared fresh on site daily. Pizza slices are baked and reheated on request and are one of the best in Wayne. Various pastas and salads are always available and they do food to order! They also serve incredible homemade canolis and other to go deserts. Paola's is close on Mondays but always check to see what my be special on a give day! Her chicken parms are great. I often purchase food and reheat it late in my own oven! read more

Despite some difficulty finding parking, I'm so glad we didn't give up! Upon arriving, we were warmly greeted by Paola and seated right away. The menu was filled with tempting options, making it tough to choose, so we started with the kale salad before finally settling on Michael's Favorite--and it's easy to see why it's a favorite! The prosciutto was perfectly salty and flavorful, while the fresh arugula added a nice balance. Sharing the 12-inch pizza was just right for our appetites. EXCELLENT! We were introduced to Paola's when a friend served Paola's food for a large party at their home. We've been hooked ever since! Delicious fresh food, salads, pizzas. We've always enjoyed great meals, dine-in or takeout . You'll find a wide variety of ready-to-go options to select from, in addition to ordering from the menu. There are a million pizza places in Wayne to choose from, but Paola's family owned & operated restaurant can't be beat. Exceptional service and very friendly atmosphere. read more

Our friends who reside in Wayne took us here for dinner, and since the food was on display, my wife had to have a taste of everything. The portions were large, taste was yummy, and the service was great.
