This is not your local pizza spot, this is your wine and dine with luxury pizza options spot. And it is worth trying. Their happy hour is a great deal and worth to try something new. They made an insanely good aperol spritz! The stromboli was enough for 4 people and packed with delicious mini pepperoni! I actually wished there was something fresh to contrast with all the richness but we did not regret that choice at all. The benches are all hard and it's a bit chilly and loud, I could tell they do tons of take out orders just like a normal pizza spot. Had a lot of other competing priorities since the new year and only cranked 2 Yelp reviews in the 1st 2 weeks of 2026. Continuing my alphabet series, P is for Pizzeria Vetri representing 2021, and perhaps I complete the letter P through 2024 if it works out. So, this review is strictly based on the food & customer service while there and the personal aspect of what happened with this place has no bearing or bias in this review. I visited for a weird time of like 4 PM late lunch-early dinner on a Sunday in August 2021. I believe this place had just opened not long earlier than my visit & shares the same area as a large Anthropologie store & a nursery. I walked in, promptly seated. Server was cordial & efficient. Not the friendliest but cordial enough. I got a Calzone, which was solid. I've had some better calzones before, but it was above average. It wasn't over cooked, a good amount of topping in there. I think it was 2 choices meat & veggie. I stopped eating pork about 2 months after this visit. So, I'm not sure I'd get a calzone if I hypothetically ever went back to a location in Philly as I don't like onions & a couple of other veggies I'm not a big fan of, here, or where ever there are locations. Maybe, I'd get pizza, hypothetically. So, my behavior was a bit erratic in 2021. 2020 was a bad year with Covid being the main factor. In 2021, I had some angst from dealing with Covid stuff for a while and then things were kind of back to normal in summer 2021, but I still did some weird things as I didn't enjoy life so much after a full year of Covid. So, I had visited my parents, who moved in Lancaster earlier in 2021 that weekend. On that Saturday, we went to Devon & other areas; my mom looked in Anthropologie & nursery as did I to a lesser extent. I explored on my own looking at the menu of this place, flirted with the host. I had this wild idea to eat there on Sunday out of my way home halfway between Baltimore & DC. But I also added visiting my friend & his parents in Hockessin, DE very close to the PA border, who was recovering from hospital stay at his parent's house; he lived not far from there. I got her phone # after my delicious meal, and thankfully, got to see my friend who had a tough summer and meet his parents, who were very nice. Ultimately, not surprisingly, nothing ever developed from getting that phone #. In conclusion, good calzone and memories of that day. read more

I can't believe someone had the nerve to put this in a box send it to my home and charge us for it. I love white pizzas & would highly recommend adding anchovies as a topping - salty & delicious! The pear pizza was unique, I would honestly eat it for dessert it was so good. The server convinced us the corn pizza is good and that people don't order it because corn and pizza don't usually go together. She even said it was her favorite. We decided to try it and it was absolutely horrible. Tasted like canned corn on top of undercooked pizza dough without any spices and a sprinkle of prosciutto and Stracciatella. It was also $27 for a small pizza. The rest of our order of ribs, meatballs, margherita pizza, and Nutella pizza were below average. It was an overpriced, underwhelming dinner. I was so pleasantly surprised with pizza vetri. It was employee appreciation so I finally got to try it at a discount. I loved it! So far it is my favorite of the URBN restaurants at devon yard. The bread sticks were so so good I had to buy more to take home. We all got pizza and everyone loved theirs. Best part was the olive oil cup cake with grapefruit icing. I've been here twice now and both times the food was delicious. If you go before 6 on a weekday they have a good happy hour. The margarita is really yummy. My pizza came out really late compared to everyone else's, but the waitress gave me a free second drink to make up for that. She was really sweet and apologetic. I've also had the lemonade, which I also recommend! Also, the restaurant is basically a part of Anthropology. So you can park at the store, eat, and look around. However the store was closed by 7 on a Friday, so shop before if you plan on doing so. read more

Vetri - Shame on you. We arrived and were seated promptly. After a few minutes our server showed up and asked what kind of water we wanted - still. When he came back he asked for our drink order - a beer and a Vinho Verde. Our drinks (the VV was flat) came and we placed our order - a calzone and small mushroom pizza w/o onions. We waited. While we waited a family was seated behind us and then another couple. The couple quickly received their appetizer as did the family. Then the family received their large pizza. Within a minute or so they received a mushroom pizza and another app. At that point my husband asked the waiter why we were still waiting for our 2 items. He left to go to the kitchen. During that time both parties received the rest of their orders, including 2 more mushroom (!!!!) pizzas. The waiter came back and said our order got mixed up in the kitchen. We were told we could wait another 10 minutes for our meal. Considering we had already been waiting for 45 minutes we chose to leave. It seems that if you are a couple or small party you are pushed to the back of the line. No interest in coming here again. read more

I recently had dinner with a group of friends at Pizzeria Vetri in Devon. No sooner were we seated, a cute little blonde (Helen?) immediately asked us for our drink order. Helen was not only pretty and spunky, but she was very pleasant, personable and attentive to our needs. She even remembered our individual beverages and meal selections, and that is rare for waitstaff these days! Needless to say, we were quite impressed! My sisters and I stopped in yesterday for lunch after a long day of dress shopping and are still talking about what a great meal we had. First off, the restaurant itself is beautiful and very open & airy. The service was excellent, particularly our server Cyron, and everyone was extremely pleasant and gave great suggestions of their favorites from the menu. We shared an order of the meatballs, a Maurizio pie, and a shroom pie. All were delicious, but the Maurizio was definitely the fan favorite. Highly recommend! We ended our meal sharing an olive oil cupcake and cannoli while my sisters had a Nutella espresso and a cappuccino. Will definitely return next time we are in the area! read more

We ordered a large pizza. It's a different shape than a traditional round pizza, but the same size. We got a pepperoni and sausage pizza. It was $49. Yes, $49 for a pizza. Next door they sell 4 foot Christmas trees for $200 during the winter season. Guess it's a thing. No one was in the restaurant. Yes! My boyfriend and I had initially planned to go to Terrain Cafe, but it was packed with reservations for the day, so we headed to the sister restaurant instead. The breadsticks were delicious, and not fatty at all. It's texture was very unique and airy. The squash pizza was incredibly enjoyable and healthy-tasting. I would have liked more seasoning on it, but the addition of red pepper really did the trick. My boyfriend and I had gotten the iced and hot version of the mocha coffee--highly recommend the hot version because the sweetness and nutella really shined through. The ice version was lacking and watery. Overall, I really enjoyed my experience at this restaurant and plan on coming back to order something new! read more

I just stopped in at 1:40 in the afternoon and the place had one table eating. Reason I'm telling you this is it's not busy at all. The waiter asked me if I'd like a menu as he was placing the menu down and I said no we're regulars we know exactly what we want They also have few different calzones as well, so I ask them can I order a meatball calzone(they have meatballs on the menu) , the waiter said he asked the chef then the waiter came back and said no, he won't make it, I have a respect for chefs and everybody in the culinary industry but when you go to a Pizzeria when it's not busy and ask for an ingredient if they already have any tell you know I just think that the chef title has gone to this guy head. I am now a regular at Vetri pizza in Devon. Yesterday I sat outside in the patio overlooking the beautiful plants. I loved the pizza and again had my favorite waitress Aray! well - we were disappointed. Pizza is OK but not anything memorable- especially at the high price point. We ordered the burrata and prosciutto appetizer and it can with two small rolls for a party of 4. when we requested extra rolls (which were really just small cooked pieces of pizza dough-inexpensive for restaurant), we were hit with a $6 charge for additional rolls! Not cool - especially considering price point. KitChen was not working well - people next to us waited so long for food they took it as takeout and left .... and wait for it ... restaurant still charged them! only positive was server - she was good. sadly, not going back. We love the food! Hi! I just wanted to share my experience at Pizzeria Vetri last weekend. My family and I have dined at the city location before and we absolutely loved it! The pizza was delicious and the ambiance was great. I decided to try the Devon location since I have never been. When we arrived, the hostess was so nice and helpful. We decided to sit outside since it was such a beautiful night. Our server, Zach was so friendly and helpful. The only issue I have is with the pizza. It came out with barely any cheese on it and it was cold. We were all hungry so we just decided to eat it as it was instead of sending it back. It would have been nice on a chilly end of summer night to have hot, cheesy pizza to snack on. My only suggestion is for the cost of the bill I think the pizza needs some work.
