Mozz sticks
Amanda L.

Just moved to the Berwyn area and have been trying to lock down a solid spot for pizza and steaks. I've had Santucci's before so I knew the pizza was good, but this review is for the cheesesteak. It came on a seeded roll which I love, but the flavor of the steak is what sold me. I got fried onions and American (no cooper sharp) and everything was blended so well together flavor/texture wise. I cannot stand when a place melts the cheese on the roll and doesn't mix it with the steak, but not the case here. This will probably be my spot for cheesesteaks now. I also got chicken tenders and mozz sticks. The mozz sticks needed a little reheating which was no big deal but were good! They are breaded not battered which I love. Santucci's sauce on their pizza and just for dipping the sticks is so good. The chicken tenders I was not a fan of. I had seen pictures of what looked more like a homemade breaded cutlet/tender advertised on door dash and review sites, however these were just a basic frozen battered looking chicken tender that needed more time in the fryer. That being said, solid choice for pizza and a steak!

Seating is a little tight, but it is charming and unique with several small rooms, and a lovely water fountain inside. Our server was excellent -- friendly, attentive, and accurate. Water glasses stayed filled. The menu offers a good variety, with something for everyone. I appreciated how the dishes were in Italian but explained in English. After our warm complimentary bread, we shared the Fried Calamari appetizer, which was nice. For our meals, my husband got the Petto Di Pollo Parmigiana (chicken parm). It was served with penne, which was good but a little bit odd; he would've preferred a spaghetti-type noodle. I got the Spaghettini Alle Vongole Olio Aglio E Peperoncino (capellini with clams). It was absolutely swimming in oil, but otherwise no complaints. Ultimately everything was hot and so delicious. For dessert hubs got the Torta Di Marscapone Al Limondcello and I got the Tartufo Al Cappuccino. Both very yummy! The pacing of the meal was enjoyable -- not rushed, but we didn't have to wait too long for any course. Prices were surprisingly reasonable and portions were perfect. Overall we had a wonderful experience and hope to go back!

They had a reservation and arrived on time. The girls were polite, respectful, and ate their food, but didn't finish everything because the portions were large. When the waitress offered boxes, they declined. The hostess questioned about why they "didn't like the food" and proceeded to yell at the waitress next to their table, which embarrassed the girls. Then, Less than an hour after their reservation began, they texted me that they were almost finished and to come pay the bill, which is what wr had agreed on. They texted me three separate times, over 12 minutes. The first text when they finished eating, the second when the table cleared and the third when they got the bill. From the first text to my arrival was exactly 17 minutes (I have text receipts and timestamps). I arrived only 5 minutes after the bill was given but by that time, the girls had already been kicked from their table and told to wait in the back near the kitchen staff. They had only been waiting a few minutes but looked so embarrassed when I got there! I went to pay and i asked the hostess when is it ever OK to kick paying customers from their table. the standard dinner reservation is a 90-minute window. The girls had been there under an hour, and it had been 17 minutes since their plates were cleared. The hostess claimed they "needed the table," which made no sense given the timing. I replied that it's not ok to do that to the kids and they would never have treated grown adults like that. the hostess slammed the checkbook shut and told me to get out. Don't even pay just get out! So we left! When we reached the parking lot that hostess ran after us yelling that she changed her mind saying she was "tired of covering everyone's bill" and threatened to call the police. I was happy to pay and reminded her that she's the one who told us to leave! She argued the entire time with me saying the she "didn't kick them outside, just asked to wait In the back" This was humiliating for a group of respectful young girls celebrating a birthday and was completely unprofessional behavior from management. What kind of place treats their customers like this?

The…read moredining room is warm and dimly lit, with velvet seating, cozy booths, and soft pillows that make you instantly relax. It's the kind of space that makes you want to settle in and keep enjoying just one more bite. This visit, I had the veal stuffed homemade pasta and the Sicilian meatballs both rich, comforting, and beautifully balanced. The pasta was tender and clearly house-made, and the meatballs were perfectly seasoned in a slow-simmered sauce full of depth. The shrimp appetizer was the standout, served with a special house-made sauce and crispy pickled cucumbers for the perfect bright contrast. Truly my favorite shrimp appetizer I've ever had. Our server, Andrea, really made the experience even better. She helped us navigate the menu and offered thoughtful suggestions that we absolutely loved. Between the food, the ambiance, and the service, Rosalie always feels like comfort done right.

The experience was a little bizarre. Their website says "Rosalie doesn't allow reservations for 1,…read moreplease just walk in". I walked in, as directed, just for a very flustered man at the front of the house to fumble with his system for a good 10 mins. Telling me there was a table, then taking it back and saying there were no tables for the night, then saying nevermind and making me a reservation for two (which I would have done if not discouraged by the website) for half an hour later. At this point I already had a very bad taste in my mouth from the level of chaos. I waited outside for my table. When I got to my table I will say my server was very nice until a strange comment came up at dessert. Once I ordered my dessert, he left and came back with two spoons, saying "I brought two spoons for us." It almost seemed implied he'd join me. I dine a lot alone, voluntarily. Most of the time it's after work and I really don't want, let alone need, company. His comment gave me anxiety as I wondered how I would politely tell this man I wanted to dine alone. When he brought the dessert he did not join me but made sure to say "I'll be back for a few bites." Maybe it was a joke but to me it was very odd and made me pretty uncomfortable. I gave three stars just for the Cacio e Pepe. It was very good. I did (without giving tmi) have a very sick stomach after the meal and the morning after so I wouldn't return just incase that was the cause. Like a said... a weird experience.

They're both just miserable. He'll at least thank me for my business, but she-- good lord it's like she's doing me a favor and absolutely annoyed at my buying food from them. I've shared that with friends who go there and we all have the same stiff interactions. They have good italian food - have tried several things and their pizzas - good, fresh crust and I think they have one of the better sauces around. But money is tighter than ever and it would be nice to be treated as a valued customer, not an interruption or annoyance. I think the clincher for me this time was the italian hoagie I ordered. It was bizarre from packaging (non-recyclable styrofoam container over paper wrap) to a hoagie made by someone that clearly knows nothing about hoagies - Wawa does a better job. I asked for oil and vinegar - and they didn't put it on the roll which is traditional. So when I picked it up all this oil came spilling out of the sandwich because they put it on the meat and cheese. And I tasted no vinegar. The tomatoes weren't sliced, as is tradition, but diced. That's just a sin in hoagie etiquette. Same with the onion. I took the whole thing apart when I got home, got out my own vinegar and olive oil out, and made it the right way. The roll was good.
