Definitely question the path. Sicilian is now not as thick, used to have slices of meatball now some crumble crap.

When you venture too far out of Jersey/Philadelphia, it's common to find the pizza in other areas... Just not up to par. That is what we found here at Michelangelo's. The pizza was not bad, but not to the standard we are used to - and don't even think about reheating it afterwards eat it there or leave it in the trash. The place was busy on a Friday night, but it was Halloween; the biggest pizza night of the year. There was plenty of counter staff and kitchen help bustling about. They were all super friendly and eager to get our order in into the table. The fountain machine was down so that was a minor inconvenience. The pricing was a bit on the high side charging $7.50 just for two toppings. Leaving us with pretty much a $40 bill for lackluster Pizza and soda for two people. It was served hot and with a smile. My recommendation? If you're really wanting pizza, it is, pizza and you're not running into a pizza shop on every corner in this area. It's not gonna squelch that craving completely, but it will feed you. I can't speak to their other items because we were just grabbing a quick bite before we headed back home. We were sent there under the high recommendations of everyone in line at the Cumberland Farms down the road so I am guessing for the area. It is the best you're going to find. read more

I have to do this and I'm really sorry about it. But I have to give it honest opinion I must say I do like the dough from their pizza. I get it to make my own pizza all the time lately I've been getting a chicken finger wrap with lettuce, tomato onions, mayonnaise, and olive oil oil. They screwed it up once it didn't have any mayonnaise or olive oil in it the lady said I could get it remade since I work at crops next-door. I didn't have time so I came over the next day and asked if I can get it remade again. I will be honest. She was very nice. She said she hoped it was to my liking, but it is not it has nothing on it once again. worst wraps I've ever had. I actually called the owner back and talked to her and she said she watched someone else make it and watched them put mayonnaise and oil on it like I don't know what I'm talking about when it's my food once again I will never be going here and it's a shame because I kinda like this place but it's a reason why they only get three stars and there's a reason why no one's ever in this place like I said I'm not trying to put anyone down but right now I am pretty frustrated with the lack of experience, not to mention the rat look like no one has ever wrapped a rap ever in their life read more

Michelangelo's Pizza - You can clearly see how dry this rap is I told her I like it saucy a nice amount of mayo and oil. Do you see any mayo or oil on here? - Pizza Near Me - Downingtown, Pennsylvania

This is a perfect pizza place, they have several menu options to cater to other needs as well. The team maintains the restaurant very well and is always nice and clean. You can have a dine in ot call in order to pick up. I have done both dine in and pickup. Both are perfect. They run specials on weekdays pickups for pizza orders are ready very fast, I have tried their veggie pizza, cheese pizza, garlic knots, fries, and calzones/Stromboli. Everything in their menu is great. Perfect pizza place where you will back again and again give it a try, you will be happy, the customer service is always great and friendly. 12/31/24I made a recent visit and ordered veggie Stromboli, Eggplant parm sandwich and veggie pizza. Everything was fantastic. The staff is friendly and the order was given to the table in 20 minutes. read more

I take the blame for ordering a cheesesteak from a pizza place. Very often you can get a satisfactory cheesesteak in such a situation, but definitely not the case here. One of the worst cheesesteaks I've ever had (not a lot of cheese, meat of poor quality, bread okay) and certainly the worst in the Reading area. Head about 50 feet to Tony's if you want a cheesesteak. read more

Love this restaurant! The food is truly authentic (made by real Italians) and delicious! The owners are incredible, caring people! You cannot beat this place! We always make it part of our trips back to visit family and friends! read more

ordered online and it took me to Slice app to order. paid for order and when I got there I got a runaround about Slice being a third party and they were not responsible for errors. they did not have one of the food that we ordered and in trying to substitut, they told me that they did not carry gluten free pasta even though it is on their menu. talked to manager and got the runaround with no attempt to maintain my business. first and last time to use this business. read more

Walked in after opening to grab 2 pepperoni slices and they were super solid. The dough is on the thicker side but I like that personally and it was still crisp + seasoned perfect. You could dip that dough in marinara and be happy. It's a big place, was clean and the owner was friendly. I think it was 3.50 per slice and the menu looked good too. I'll definitely stop by again when in the area. read more

This was the best cheese pizza we have had in a long time! Cheese was perfectly melted and crust was the perfect. We order from here again.

Food is fine, big place, not too busy. Used to come here with little kids, who are now 30s!

Again the order came cold. Why???? The pizza is not as good as it used to be. Very sad. Definitely has gone downhill in the past 4 years.

I ordered a cheesesteak hoagie, which should include lettuce, tomato, and mayo. when I got the order there was no lettuce tomato or mayo & the roll was stale. I contacted them and they said too bad. We order our rolls daily. Here's the $.75 credit meanwhile I didn't get what I wanted and the food was terrible. Go down the street. There's plenty of good places in the area like Mia and Liones treat their customers much better. read more

Got two slices. Sausage and chicken parm. Nothing special. What's weird is that the pizza seems "old" but it is only 12:46... There was only one other customer here and I am wondering how long ago these pies were made. The slices were not heated very long, so they were lukewarm at best. I will not come here again. read more

Okay it's official their pizza is horrible. I havent ordered one in a year. I won't EVER again. The crust used to be good or above average. It tasteless genetically modified shite. The sauce is meh and the Cheese is the only saving factor. I paid $21 for a medium one topping pizza. Outrageous!!!! Theres at leastv5 or 6 better pizzas in the area at a better price. One word RUN the other direction do not order anything from this shite joint. It is bad REALLY bad. Even my dogs refused to eat the crust honestly read more

We placed an order to Michangelos via GrubHub. I had to put my phone on the charger and when checking it noticed I had three missed calls from the restaurant about 4 minutes prior. I called back and some woman answered and didn't identify herself or the restaurant in the most dead, emotionless voice I've ever heard. I asked if this was the restaurant and she said "Yeah but I can barely hear you. Can you call back?" So I said yes and called back a minute later. She answered the phone the exact same way and I explained I had just called and I had an order from GrubHub. She then told me in the most pinched and annoyed tone that they were all out of cheese ravioli which was one of our 80 dollars in orders. She asked if we wanted a different dinner. I said, "No problem, sure can we have the Pasta Primavera instead please?" She gave a numerous sigh as if I was inconveniencing HER and said "Um that was a special we had a LONG time ago go and no longer, do you want something else?" Mind you I was looking at their MENU on GrubHub and it was there and is STILL there! But sure you miserable excuse for a host and so I asked for the penned pasta. She then sighed again and asked if I still wanted the meatballs I had ordered and paid for already. Yes lady I want what I paid for. I get food service is a thankless job and people are horrible and rude. I was polite to a FAULT with her. If you are so exasperated and so miserable GET A DIFFERENT JOB! Get your butt outta interacting with the public. This was our first time ordering here. We will NEVER order from here again. Zero lack of soft skills, emotional intelligence, dignity, or class. Whoever the owner is TERMINATE the lady answering your phones (check your schedule for who was on and answering calls at 6pm on 06/29/2024) and hire someone deserving. She is singlehandedly destroying your reputation and business. read more

Ordered delivery jalapeño poppers meatball parm sandwich and chicken cheese steak. Horrible just horrible. Poppers taste like they were frozen for a year. Chicken cheese steak is drier than the Sahara. The meatball parm has no meatballs just a minimal amount of crushed up dry mixture attempting to be a meatball. This place used to have great sandwiches. What a let down ! read more

Ordered online. It said would be ready in 15-30 minutes went to pick it up 30 minutes later and they hadn't even started it. A salad and a chicken parm sandwich. Simple. Then 30 minutes later it's ready. Drive home to find they for got to put the salad dressing in the bag... and I had ordered extra. I called and their solution was to deliver the dressing... WHEN? WHO knows. Will not be returning in the future. If I could give 0 stars I would. read more

Overall I'm a big fan of Michelangelo's! I just had a pizza from them two nights ago and couldn't stop saying how perfect it was. That being said, tonight I ordered the Cajun Shrimp wrap, which I've had quite a few times in the past and loved. Tonight, the lettuce was hot n wilted, the entire wrap was pouring liquid everywhere and every component was sopping wet. Lastly, all the shrimp in the wrap still had the tails on them. Super disappointed in them tonight, hoping this was just a random occurrence and isn't a reflection of a new standard. read more

Ordered a brick oven pizza and requested it well done. Turns out there brick oven is off, second time I ordered a pizza that this happpened. Why would they charge me the higher price for thiis when it's not even the same product. To make matters worse the pie was undercooked with little to no cheese and all sauce. They remade the pizza, but still I'll not brick oven and was just a traditional pie. I've ordered here 7 times and they just seem to make issues on quality of pizza 6/7 times. Really hope management can reach out and tell me how to actually get what I ask for read more

I never write bad reviews but I'm so very disappointed in tonight's order. Have ordered from here a handful of times and it was ok but tonight's easy order was just awful. Ordered 2 cheesesteaks and a spring mix salad through Grubhub which was delivered fast and even before the estimated time BUT the cheesesteaks were horrible!!!! Soggy and wet and poorly wrapped. They were leaking through the Brown bag and the salad wasn't even the one I ordered and it was missing the dressing. $53 for trash. Sorry read more

This is a little gem! The pizza is pretty darn good, the crust was thin, light sauce, and a healthy amount a cheese! Best hoagie around town. Im from out of town and have been house sitting pretty much eating take-out the last few weeks trying different places and this one is by far the best. We have had take out from here many times. We have been satisfied with the pizza, stromboli, and cheese steaks. However, this last time we ordered there was hardly any meat in the cheese steak. take out here is a joke. the first time we tried, we got no marinara with the calamari, no sauce for the chicken fingers. the 2nd time we got no sauce for the strombolis, and cheese on the steak (i asked for no cheese bc i cannot eat diary). the girl told me 30 min. for pick up. got there in 30 and food was cold. anything they can screw up, they will. cook probably can't read english bc the orders were written up right, or he just doesn't give a sh**! read more

It's a shame that the staff of this restaurant has zero personal skills or customer service. The food is pretty good but we've been burned so many times with horrible customer service - both takeout and eating in. Just two of our most recent experiences... Takeout: we discovered we were given the incorrect pasta dish when we got home. We called and they questioned us as if we had something to gain out of it (because I wanted the wrong dish and to drive back to the restaurant?!) Then the owner demanded we bring back the incorrect dish and give it to them before they gave us the correct one. Classy. Dining in: we ordered a large pizza with half cheese/half peppers & onions and one salad. 45 minutes pass with no contact from our waitress (and we were sitting right in front of the counter, not tucked away in the back) and we ask the owner if we'd be getting our order anytime soon. He replied, "have you even ordered yet?" very rudely. We told him yes, 45 min ago. He and the waitress locked eyes and 5 minutes later we had our food. It was obviously just thrown together as the peppers and onions were completely raw and sitting on top, not even melted into the pizza. And the chicken cheese steak on top of the salad was cold. Not once did the waitress or owner apologize. In fact, neither time were we offered an apology or a discount. And these are just the two out of many times we've had this type of service. A note to the owner: A simple "sorry about that!" when you or your staff mess up goes a long way. Your pizza isn't that good that you can treat customers that way. Again, it's a shame because the food is good and it's very conveniently located for us. But I just can't deal with their crap service any longer so we won't be returning. read more

Worst wings my wife and I have ever had. Fatty and chewy. The other food we had was mediocre.

The service was terrible and my pizza was cold. The cheese was burnt and the cheese fries were soggy. Dave Portnoy would not approve.

Did anyone else get sick from food this week day of super bowl.we did call me if you got sick Tom 941-224_7827 thanks

Definitely a huge improvement in quality and taste!!!! Not that it was "bad" before, but I'm more inclined to call here than other pizzerias in the area. Love their wings!!! House salad is awesome (as simple as it is) they added shredded cabbage and kalamata olives! Friendly staff and clean environment! Highly recommended read more

Good local business. The guys behind the counter are friendly & courteous. The owner is very nice too. They hustle, sometimes get busy but always seem to be trying to get it right. Food is very good for a pretty standard pizza shop. The pizza is well above average, and with toppings it's excellent because they use fresh vegetables. Get the mushrooms & bacon. Have eaten here at least once a month for 7 years. Never had anything that even resembled bad food, let alone a health department problem. read more
