My husband and I went to this place just on a spur of the moment. We were hungry but boy oh boy not even hunger will make us EVER go there again! What a mistake! The crust seemed like the kind you would get in a bowling alley. All the slices of pizza were dry, burnt or overcooked! We bought 4 different slices, Hawaiian, mushroom, plain, pepperoni, sent back two to be replaced the sausage (which we did not order) and the plain (overcooked, dry) I'm guessing from sitting out. We ordered 1 of each: -Cheese Pizza: This was okay. The crust was pretty crispy so if you like that you would like probably like this pizza. -Special Pizza: This has peppers, onions, mushrooms, meatballs, and a few other toppings. The flavor was very good from all the meats and veggies. This had a very crispy crust again, although slightly different than the one on the cheese pizza. Overall I just prefer a pizza crust with more chew. -Chicken Wings: We ordered them with sauce on the side but instead they came sitting in a pool of sauce, although the wings were not actually tossed in it. These were again okay, but I would have liked them to be crispy. They might have steamed and softened due to the delivery time however. read more

We have been loyal customers for more than 30 years! Today, the Italian Stromboli and the veggie Stromboli were delicious - as always but the No. 6 white broccoli chicken pizza was inedible. Stopped in for a slice. Was Meeting someone in the parking lot. Not from the area and didn't want McDonald's. Got the meatball Parmesan in the display case. Cashier says $5.03. I was a little started. I had to look at the pie again and make sure it was 8 slices per pizza. It was. So I checked the menu. A 16" meatball parm pizza is $16. So how do they forgive $5 a slice minus sales tax. That would cost me $40 for a pizza if I ordered by the slice. What a rip off. read more

I am traveling through Pennsylvania and stopped by for a quick bite before I checked into my hotel for the night. The employee who greeted me for very friendly and told me to have a seat. There weren't any other customers as it was late. I asked for her recommendation and she suggested the Philly Cheese Steak or Chicken. I opted for the chicken with fried onions and mushrooms. The Pizza Peddler has marketing down pat. When you call, you get a commercial BEFORE you speak to a human being. There was a 2 dollars off offer on Yelp. There are coupons attached to their menu. When you make pizza as bad as the Peddler, you need to encourage people to buy. In the end, it has to be about the pizza, right? And this pizza had the worst crust I have ever eaten. This could not be in any way hand tossed fresh made dough. It tasted like cardboard. It was thin with holes in it. Unlike any crust I've ever had. The cheese was ok. The Tomatoe sauce tasted like paste out of a PIZZA SAUCE can. The restaurant is nice. The people were great. But the pizza was terrible. Considering that right down the street you can get Ravanesi's which is one of the best in this area.!Now I do understand Ravanesi's is closed on Monday but even Mod in Glen Mills is a better pizza option. read more

This is going to be a strange review for me as I've never quite reviewed a meal that I liked less and less as I ate it. For starters my brother and I were out last Friday night on the way to West Chester to catch a band. We stopped here under the recommendation of a co-worker. He had been here once before and said it was pretty good. The staff was more than accommodating with several people taking care of us at the table keeping the drinks full and coming by to check on us. We immediately ordered a Large Pepperoni pie and it was delivered about 10-12 minutes later, pipping hot. The pizza looked great. The dough was obviously fresh and had a good texture to it on the sides. We were starving and the first slice was delicious. The sauce had a sweet side to it, the cheese and pepperoni were also good. The crust kinda reminded me of an Uno's crust when it's properly cooked. It wasn't deep dish, but it had a certain flakiness to it that I liked. So what went wrong, I'm not sure. It's nothing that the staff did, it was the meal. The more I ate, the less I liked it. After 3 slices I was done. Not because I was full, but just because I couldn't eat another bite of that pizza. I didn't want to taste it again. Without mentioning it to my brother before hand, he said exactly the same thing. Go figure. So we wrapped it up and we left. The end. Stopped in on our way back from visiting the boyfriend's parents. The garlic bread was pretty decent, but the marinara sauce was super cheap. (I ran a kitchen; I could tell it was of a really low quality.) The cheese pizza itself was a disgrace. I could hardly stomach it. I honestly would prefer any frozen pizza brand over this place (and will not stop in again), but in an odd sort of way, I wonder if this place is the small town pizza joint that everyone just grew up with and develops a taste for. The staff was mostly high schoolers, and I admired that they did seem to be working hard. I didn't see anyone standing around on their phones even though business was slow that night. We always order pizza online with no problems. The other day we were in a business next door, so, as Peddlers Pizza advertise on the window "frozen custard", we stopped with our kids to have some. It couldn't be a worse customer service. While the young boy was trying his best, unsuccessfully, the older man next to him was looking at us and at the boy like he was angry/annoyed and/or irritated, perhaps because we didn't order pizza? We don't know. Maybe if he had helped the boy, we wouldn't have had the worse milkshake (as he asked if we preferred cones or milkshake) of our lives, tasting like milk mixed with warm water. And paid $6 dollars for each of the five milkshakes. We felt so not welcome. This man kept looking at us with an angry look and when the boy asked a question, he yelled at him. So rude. They just lost a loyal customer. And we will share this experience with our neighbors and friends in the area. read more

I ordered from here the other day on GrubHub. I ordered a "Traditional Pan Style Pizza" and "Wing Zings". The pizza looked like a pizza you would get at a bowling alley or roller rink. The crust was hard. It tasted stale and crunchy. The cheese was burnt to the point of being crisp. The red color on the crust indicated that the pizza had sauce at one point but since had evaporated. It looked and tasted like they had cooked a cheap store bought pizza, placed it under a heat lamp for hours and then threw it in a box at the last moment. The wing zings were burnt like they had left them in the fryer too long but they tased fine. Both the pizza and wings were luke warm at best upon arrival. To make matters worse, the food was 10 min late. I would dismiss that as 10 min isn't a big deal in my mind. However, the delivery guy explained to me that he kept walking up and down the block trying to find my front door and thats why he was late. Again, I could dismiss that as the front door is hard to find but, the special instructions said to "call on arrival". It was even on the on the receipt. I can dismiss an inattentive delivery guy but the whole experience was awful. read more

I am a proponent of supporting local small businesses and Pizza Peddler has been our "go to" for pizza delivery for years. But lately the quality of the food and service has dramatically declined. The on-line ordering system does not work properly since being recently updated and the folks working the phone are ineffective. The food arrives cold and the order is consistently wrong when it arrives. We have tried to remain loyal but unfortunately we will be ordering from Dominos going forward. Hopefully Pizza Peddler gets their act together in the New Year. read more

For years now, my boyfriend Matt has lived down the street from Pizza Peddler, so whenever we're craving a mushroom-and-spinach pie (pretty much every week), we call up Pizza Peddler. They've delivered to Matt's house so often that the delivery boy knows the gate combo by heart -- and I'm willing to bet they're number 1 in his speed dial. Nevertheless, there's nothing particularly special about their food...the pizza is uber greasy, and often requires half a roll of paper-towels to blot it to an acceptable eating level. The Peddler's Deluxe breakfast sandwich (egg, bacon, mushrooms, green peppers, onions, cheese) is a steal at $4.50, but can sometimes lead to very unpleasant bathroom trips. The same goes for the Peddler Fries -- what tastes like an orgasm when I put it into my mouth (mozzarella, cheddar, ranch dressing and bacon....oh yesss!) sometimes leaves me feeling a bit queasy 20 minutes later. To sum it up: PP is greasy, cheap food -- but not for the faint of heart. If you're in the neighborhood, stop on by (or get it delivered!); otherwise, don't bother. read more

We've been to this establishment when it was owned by Ron and have always loved it. We had an incident most recently on 12/24/20 where we placed an order via phone with Evan, however, the incorrect item was delivered. We called them to notify them and the manager was very nice and offered to bring the correct item but we refused. He also suggested that he would credit us the amount via our cc but it's been 2 weeks and we've seen nothing of that. We've called 2x now to follow up and every time we get the same message "we processed it and it takes a few days etc from your bank". We've contacted our bank (TD) and even they've told us it doesnt take 2 weeks. If you're getting a refund make sure to stay on top of them so they actually have it done. Again, we love the food but this is a miscellaneous thing that shouldn't happen. read more

We got a large stromboli and baked ziti, which was above average taste wise. Plenty of extra sauce for dipping. The sauce was very good and made the meal. Inconsistent - been going to this restaurant for 20+ years and sometimes it's good other times it's not. Most recently we spoke to management explaining dough is under cooked cheese burned and the extra cheese was placed on top of the pepperoni adding to the burnt top. Not ever going back. I went here on a whim while my mother was in town, and I'm SO glad that we stopped in. We ordered caesar salads and their vegetable pizza. They used REAL mozzarella, but not too much. It came in little drops of flavor rather than smothered all over the pizza, preventing an overly greasy slice. The crust was the perfect balance of crunchy and soft. Normally when I order a veggie pizza, the bottom of the pizza becomes soggy and the toppings slip off. Not here! This was the FIRST vegetable pizza that I had that didn't do that. The vegetables were fantastic; flavorful and fresh-tasting, and we took the two leftover slices home. Our salads were tasty. Again, fresh and crunchy. They didn't overdue the dressing.
