Instagram - says nothing about opening late. I checked!

This place has been on my radar and I was eager to check it out even though I don't live nearby. I had a chance to drive down for lunch on Easter Monday. I checked Instagram in the morning to make sure it would be open as usual, but like a Greek tragedy, I met my destiny in fleeing it: despite seeing nothing about a closing, upon arrival, a sign was posted on the door that they would not open until 1pm. Speer came to the door and explained he had posted on Instagram at 8am about the late opening. I had checked, and I still don't see the post. I would wait till 1 but I have to get my daughter to school. I'm writing this review while waiting, disappointed, for my wings next door at Bonchon!

Hands down my the best pizza in this area and in my top three all time favorite pizzas. Amazing owner who gives nothing but the best to his customers. Wish it were closer to my house.

Pizza West Chester is a highly rated pizza spot in west Chester and i had to stop by and give it a try. It's a tiny little shop and you should be ready to wait for your pizza. It comes out lava hot and i just ate it outside on the sidewalk. There was a random guy with a pickup truck outside who was nice enough to let us use the bed of his truck as a table. Pretty cool. Overall the pizza was delicious and the only reason i gave it 4 stars is cuz West Chester Pizza Cafe is the clear king of West Chester Pizza. Still, their pie was delectable.

Pizza was very good. Owner was super nice and very informative. Talked to me the whole time I was waiting for the pizza. Super cool guy.

I think I came to this place with too high of expectations. Portnoy gave them a great rating and I really enjoyed my experience in the shop. The owner was nice and it was cool to watch him make the pizzas. He used sliced mozzarella, then sauce and then more clumps of mozzarella. I was super excited watching him make it-- looked delicious. The shredded parm after it come fresh out of the oven also made it look great. The owner really takes his time to perfect his pizza and ingredients which I appreciated. When it came time to eat the pizza, I was sadly disappointed. It was not enough sauce and lacked flavor to me. The crust was so hard that I could even bite through it while the pizza itself was quite chewy. It took work for me to eat it because I had to chew it so much. I guess portnoy and I disagree on this one but I'm sure it is just personal preference. The place is cash only and has only one table, so it is not designed for eating in. I hope the owner keeps doing well because he really is a nice guy!

PIZZA WEST CHESTER https://g.co/kgs/C9DvMH So small, I can't even tag them. There's something so satisfyingly simple about offering 3 options. Just a guy, making pizza after pizza after pizza.... Dough, then 2 kinds of sliced cheese. Provolone and mozzarella is my guess, then a very basic sauce spooned from a Tupperware container, then shredded mozzarella and into the oven . Pepperoni optional. White pizza gets dollops of ricotta and extra virgin olive oil. Out of the oven, perfectly cooked cut and topped with Parm grated onto each pizza . The results... Crispy, piping hot, and delicious. No phone , no delivery service. Walk in, order, and wait till they call your number. CASH ONLY !!!!! BTW he's gotta teach her how to cut, box, and finish pizza with Parm, so he's not doing everything while she watches. Also, no one was getting just a slice.

I was in the area for a summer lacrosse tourney and a friend sent me an IG reel for this place not knowing I was 15 minutes from it! Meant to be I guess. It's a great pie. I live in upstate NY but haven eaten a lot of pizza in NYC and Long Island. This is a slightly different style but one of my favorites. First off the crust under the sauce is a perfect combo of thinness and chew. The crust around the pie may be too "burnt" for some but I like that. The sauce was sweeter than I expected but the amount of cheese on the pie and the shredded parm on top makes it all work insanely good. I love that it's only three options and it's made to order when you walk in. He's an artisan and cares about his craft. Btw they do take credit now.

Ok, this is a tough one. I really love pizza. I love eating it, I love making it, I love reading about it, and I love to see how the industry has been evolving over time. Pizza West Chester has been building a very good reputation so I had to bite. We stopped by on a weekday afternoon between Christmas and New Year's, and they were quite busy. The outside is fairly unassuming, but nice. The shop is situated on a busy street, and parking gets tough, but we found a spot a block or so away and walked in to roughly six people standing inside waiting. We asked how long the wait was, we're told 45 minutes, so we ordered a pepperoni for $24 cash. In the shop we're two employees: the owner was making pies, and there was a counter person taking orders. We came back in 40 minutes and our order was ready shortly thereafter. I will say, you can tell the owner is very passionate about what he does, and puts a lot of care into making the pizza, which, by the way, had a layer of sliced cheese placed on top of the dough, then sauce, then grated (I'm assuming all mozzarella) cheese. He personally brings each cooked pizza over to the retail counter to box it, freshly shaves a hard cheese (parmesan?), tells you he hopes you enjoy the pizza, and closes the box (doesn't fold the sides in). I was so excited to dig into this, but was apprehensive over how well done it was. Unfortunately, I wound up pretty disappointed in the taste. Keep in mind, though, not all pizza is the same, and this pizza simply wasn't my style-I'm more of a NY and Neopolitan style, and I would say this is more of a mix of a NY/bar style pizza, just not my cup of chowder. I commend the owner for his passion and success, and I'm sure he will continue to thrive-his business model seems sound and he puts a lot of care into his shop, product, and customers. Overall a good experience and glad I visited.

Ok. We get it. All the write ups and the other reviews. Fantastic pizza. And this is from a Staten Island born-raised, pizza snob. That crust! Wow. Beautiful. I had to take a picture of it immediately after I opened the box and send it to the wife to show what it looked like.

Amazing pizza! We were in the nearby area and decided to give this place a try after seeing Dave's review on One Bite! They were so friendly and nice and made great conversation! They have a cute small location with a very simple and nice design! You can watch them make everything fresh! The pizza was spectacular, with a great crunch and fantasist taste! Highly recommended, we will definitely be back!

The pizza game as far as Classic-New-York style, crispy thin crust just changed forever in West Chester PA. My man Speer and his lovely lady had a soft opening of the shop this morning- simply called Pizza on Market Street, right next door to the co-opp. They plan to take their time ramping up. This is DESTINATION pizza my friends. This is Pizza that @craiglaban and @phillyinsider should be shouting from the rooftops. This is pizza that Barstool dude is trying. This is equal to or even better than all the highly praised Philly shops like Angelos,Beddia, Pizza Plus etc - all pizzas I love but 45 minutes each way. For people that have no idea what quality pizza costs and recoil at the menu, remember great pizza ain't cheap and cheap pizza ain't good. You want cheap - go to the crappy chains. Now the best small town in the USA has a pizza shop to match! Try it to see for yourself. You tried the rest of pizza in this town - come try the best! --

Whether you are passing through like I was or a long-time local, you need to try this place! My personal fave was the farmer's veggie pizza, which was packed with fresh veggies and juicy mushrooms, which I cannot resist, but the pepperoni was a close second, with huge pepperoni slices mixed with little cute ones, all crisp and salty and perfect. My husband, however, raved about the Yia Yia's Brooklyn. I get the impression that you won't go wrong with any of their pizzas. The fries were great, too! Even hours after, they're still crisp and pillowy, not stiff or soggy like your usual fries. Even the rocky road brownies were good. If you're reading this review, stop reading and start ordering!! I will note, there are only a couple of boothed tables and a few window seats, so you might want to order takeout.

Right near the Exton Mall, I swung by yesterday after shopping at Boscov's for Christmas presents and opted for a slice of the ir Pizza for a light lunch. Yes, I saw several of their cheesesteaks carried by to other customers but tasting one will be on my next trip, but the thick , generous portion of rib eye steak, Coooer cheese, spilling out of a seeded roll for an astounding $15 looks like an incredible deal. But I digress- this family- run restaurant knows how to make astonishingly great pizza, and can do any of their offerings on GLUTEN-FREE crust. They use Imported Italian flours and cook up their crusts crispy, well done, and delicious that beats the mouth-feel of anything I have had in the area. The meats are of superior quality and flavor, and everything is available by the slice and displayed in a case of fresh slices in so great a variety you will have difficulty choosing just one! The slice named "The Charlie" called out to me, totally on visual appeal, and I learned secondarily that it sported classic pizza sauce, creamy Mozerella, pepperoni, finished with pecorino Romano, fresh Basil, and hot honey- It knocked my socks off! Whether you are in the mood for an amazing pizza, or a cheesesteak, you've gotta try this place. It is clean, well staffed, with a great vibe!
