Leone's Pizza was just okay. The cashier made a mistake when we asked to add one slice of cheese pizza and ended up charging us for three instead of two. The pepperoni pizza wasn't for me--the sauce and even the crust were overly sweet and seemed to contain too much sugar. The ambiance was nice, and the live music was a nice touch. However, the dining room felt a bit randomly arranged, with seating right by the entrance and not enough booths or private seating. The clam linguine was good, especially after adding a little extra seasoning. Overall, a decent experience with room for improvement. read more

Absolutely amazing place. Popped in on a Saturday while I was in the area. Parking is tough. They are in a strip mall and there are not a lot of spaces. I got lucky and found one out front. The joint was hopping. But not too noisy. I was greeted immediately and shown where the menus were located. I was getting the order to go. I got a slice of pepperoni, a slice of sausage and a grandma slice. I wish I could have ordered a bunch more - including dessert. :-) Everything was amazing. These guys have become our local Tappy hang out for food and music. Honestly, you can't go wrong with either. I'm amazed at some of the bands that they bring in and the food is consistently good - booze is a tad expensive, but not terribly so. Depending on the night, it can get really crowded so be advised there is no reservations and it's first come first serve. That means if there's a good band if you get there anytime after 7 PM chances are you'll be standing for some period of time. Food is all reasonably priced and quite good. If you want to treat yourself visit the dessert case because it is truly outstanding. If there's a good, damn chances are, I'll see you there. read more

My orders were consistently wrong over a period of months so I stopped going there. I tried again and was told 30 minutes for my order. I went after 30 minutes and there were 20 people already waiting for their orders. I waited an additional 20 minutes until my order was ready. I'm done, not going back. read more

The food was ok, 2 out of 3 meals were good. The meat sauce on the pasta was overpowered with way too much ground beef. I wish I could rate the service but we had no server! We had to order everything by ourselves and go through the offerings and add-ons by ourselves. Very tedious to do on a phone! We even had to go to the bar and get our own drinks (and refills). It's like we ordered take out and not gone there for a relaxing diner. At the end of ordering they asked for a tip to be added?? Who were we tipping? Terrible business model. They did a great job redesigning the place adding the patio area and new bar area. Might have been a better experience if they would hire a few servers. Three of us decided to check out lunch at liones . I was disappointed with my salad with crispy chicken on top. It was obvious the chicken was not fresh. They just chopped up a cutlet that had been sitting around. My wife and best friend ordered Ruben's. They both said the sandwiches were very disappointing so I tried a piece of my wife's Ruben and sure enough the pastrami did not taste fresh and they didn't even use rye bread. I'll be more selective next time and what I order if I should return to give them another try. read more

Decided to try this the other night being new to the town. We sit waiting for a server and after 10 mins someone walks by and says you have to order online. We scan the QR on table, then spend 15 mins trying to navigate a confusing menu and finally order food. There is nowhere on there to order drinks. Finally ask someone walking by and they say you have to go to bar to get your drinks...all this and it still pops up asking for gratuity if we wanted to do all that and get up 4x's to refill our drinks, we'd get take out! read more

This is not your typical Pizzeria they are far more than that they have pre-made salads,pasta ,pizzas ,calzone, stromboli and also you order to cook . we went with garlic knots, a slice of cheese pizza come up macaroni and cheese, and the vegetarian stromboli. The cheese pizza we felt it's it had a lot of cheese. Stromboli garlic knots but definitely tasty and well done. Mac and cheese were tasty, too. Overall, the ambiance of the pizza place was nice. Good for small family dinner. They do have soda and also have takeout options too. You go up to the counter order your food, and then they deliver it to your table. Had dinner there Sunday evening. Live music in main dining hall was way too loud. Wish ownership or mgr would try to eat with a family with blaring music, wasn't trying to attend a concert and would like to be able to hold a conversation. I was in the back room thankfully. Food was fine but had pizza, fries and pasta come out at normal service time like 15-20 mins, but wife had a hot honey sandwich that took an hour. Would've just gotten it to go but nobody came by in last 30 mins we were waiting. Also the water, it was 90 degrees and we were very parched from being in the heat and tap water was disgusting, not sure if they clean that soda machine ever. Best kept specialty drink secret at Leone's Pizza: the Apple Cider Margarita. It's Autumn in a margarita glass, with a cinnamon sugar rim and the obligatory cinnamon stick. Ask for Brandon to make it - it's his recipe. Not too sweet, not too strong. It's just right. Leone's full menu and friendly staff are also a plus. We've been there several times, the food is always good and we love the outdoor area in the summer and swing seasons. The craft beer (Headytopper, anyone?) is another huge plus. Highly recommend a stop at Leone's if you're in Downingtown. read more

Usually love Lione's--we are long time 2x to 3x a monthly regulars, from before the move and reno. But this last experience has us questioning whether it is still worth it. The parking lot situation is HORRENDOUS. There is simply not enough space for everyone, especially when the take out and DoorDash drivers double park. God forbid a medical emergency occurs. Empty cars with flashers on for thirty minutes in the driving lanes while they wait for food is no good. This busyness puts pressure on the wait and kitchen staffs. The take out service is becoming more and more Sourh Philly/ DelCo rude and less the friendly Downingtown we used to enjoy. Food prep is rushed and messy--my last Italian Hoagie was missing salad on half the sandwich. It is quite a shame that this is happening to a staple establishment. This place has some of the best food around but the last 3 times I ordered take out the order was wrong. The last time was the worst. After ordering the 2 sauces on the side they put it on the wings. The Alberto's sauce was way too hot for my kids and they were the ones wanting wings. We specifically asked them to read the order back and then confirmed if the 2 sauce were in the side were in the bag. Both times the girl rushed (cis they are so busy) and didn't really check. I'm not opposed to paying good money for good food but what a disappointment...I got a slice of the veggie stuffed pizza and the dough was raw on the top layer. Brought it back to the oven and waited for it to come back to my table just for it to still be raw dough. My husbands slices were lukewarm, idk if this is a stuffed slice thing since it's packed full or what but that was pretty annoying considering it literally came out of the oven half cold.
