Pick 2, broccoli cheese soup & fuji apple chicken salad.
    Amy E.

Accommodating, friendly service. They go above and beyond. Really love Panera as a fast food/healthier option compared to many others. My favorite is the pick 2 with the broccoli cheddar soup and the fuji apple chicken salad. So good! Don't forget the passion fruit green tea. The only down side is people can be messy and often the tables are left a bit of a mess. I wish it were a bit cleaner in that respect, but it isn't the worst I've seen.

Ordered Chipotle Chicken Scrambled Egg & Avocado sandwich, but the sandwich was missing a primary ingredient-THE EGGS!

I don't usually go to Panera at least not as frequently as I did when I was in middle and high school when going to Valley Square and Panera was considered a 'night out'. However I've gone twice, recently, since the COVID-19 pandemic and and I'm very surprised with how they have been handling things. The first time I did curbside with a bread bowl and soup. My first choice was unavailable as that seems to be the biggest problem at this Panera- no matter how crowded or not, they're usually out of a lot of items. I recently also tried a breakfast sandwich from them which was actually surprisingly good. Panera has gotten rid of my favorite menu items over the years (looking at you Greek flatbread) and there food is ... well it's Panera, it gets the job done while being moderately tasty. The staff was quite nice. I signed up for their coffee subscription thing and I'll definitely be cancelling that. The iced coffee - no frills - just regular coffee wasn't necessarily bad, it left me with terrible heartburn and must have been much more acidic than it tasted. Overall Panera will remain a valley square staple that I'm happy is still there for the times when you just want a bread bowl or a no frills pastry.

And I didn't take a sip. I have a video to prove that too.

Worst location. Minimum effort in every single order. I never get my order made the way I asked and they tried to give me this drink and tell me this is how it's supposed to be made. Ok fine. It's not worth 6 bucks then. I'd like a refund. Not the product I expected.

Worst Panera ever. I've been going to Panera for years but will never revisit this one. I've had to return food numerous times until calling it quits. I'm pretty sure my last sandwich had plastic mixed in. Below is what they claim is a frontega sandwich.

I ordered the lobster bisque, which was the soup of the day and it was so delicious. I highly recommend it if they happen to have it when you are there. I got grilled shrimp as my main and it was a bit disappointing. It came with 5 pieces and one of the shrimp was ripped in 2 pieces before they served it to me - they must've known this because they hid it underneath another shrimp during the original presentation of the plate. It was disappointing and I wish I would have chose a different dish instead. I got the tiramisu as a dessert which was a great way to end my meal here.

I would say six tables at most. The decor seemed a little tired and could use some freshening. The bar area sits a step down from the entrance and seemed active. We decided to each have a drink to start and I had the prime rib carpaccio. The meat was delicious and very thinly sliced. The cheese and capers were a perfect flavor profile. They had elk on the menu so I couldn't resist. It was cooked perfectly and absolutely melted in my mouth with a tasty reduction over top. My wife had the seared scallops over two colors of noodles and scallions. The scallops were a touch too salty yet cooked perfectly. The dark chocolate cake was simply amazing. A must if you go. The food was quite good and they always seem to have some unique options if you like wild game. Give it a try and see what you think.

Golden Boar is a Ukrainian restaurant in the Huntingdon Valley Marketplace shopping center. From…read morethe outside, it may look like a regular strip mall restaurant. But inside is something really special. In my experience, it isn't very easy to find Ukrainian restaurants in the U.S. (certainly several in New York), and so I was thrilled to find Golden Boar. And it lived up to all my hopes and expectations. First of all - strip mall from the front, but it's all charm and coziness inside. The decor includes lots of photographs and beautiful table coverings - but the highlight of the interior is their play on the Ukrainian Pich (stove). What looks like a beautiful, traditional Pich is an opening and passthrough to the kitchen. It adds such charm and character to the space. But onto the food. I happen to love Ukrainian food, so we were excited and hungry and knew we would order too much food and have leftovers for later. We ordered and shared: Yushka (a porcini mushroom broth served with mushroom dumplings and a huge chicken meatball) with a garlic bun on the side on the recommendation of our server; Huliash (stewed beef with potato dumplings, and prunes); herring (with egg salad, boiled beet, and onions); and potato and cheese varenyky with cracklings). I would order and eat every bite again. And I wish I'd had more room to finish our plates and order a dessert! (Looking back, we should have brought friends with us just so we could order and share more of the menu)! The staff are friendly, and the service was wonderful and fast. Just a really wonderful meal that I'd be happy to repeat in the future! I think it's really special.
