We were the only people when we arrived and the place was clean and spacious with authentic music playing. We were quickly brought some chips with beans and cheese along with some traditional salsa sauce. The salsa was good and flavorful. This place is a BYOB so bring whatever you want to drink. I am a big Quesabirria fan and had to try theirs. It was packed with meat and I must say that the consommé was amazing. It was rich and packed with flavor and a hint of cinnamon. The fiesta Mexicana dish was very large but the beef was tough and had a lot of fat. Our server was very nice but not quite aware when we were ready for our check. We had to ask twice and waited quite a while. This was with only one other active table. Overall, great quality on the quesabirria and the burritos are huge!

I also liked that their cups were cold, and their menu didn't just feature the same thing most Mexican restaurants serve- it wasn't just chain restaurant fully delicious but common fare- this many had a few different options. Give them a try. I don't think you will be disappointed!

Being from Arizona, I eat quite a bit of Mexican food and do get some authentic eats since we are so close to Mexico. I was a little worried trying Mexican food in the east coast, but we were both really happy with the food we got here. The service was very friendly and the location was very clean. I appreciate the staff assisting with boxes as we definitely ordered more than we can eat as we wanted to try various items. It was great for leftovers and a midnight snack as I can get munchy at different times due to the time zone difference. Simple decor and straightforward street food menu (tacos, burritos, quesadillas, tortas, etc.). I was in the mood for a Torta Milanesa (steak). It arrived less than ten minutes later. The beef was breaded and fried, with melted white cheese, jalapeño, grilled onion, lettuce and tomato; packed into a basic kaiser roll. It was surprisingly heavy and a bit slick from the oil the steak was cooked in. I cut it in half and commenced to consume. The steak was an easy chew and all its participants contributed well to my enjoyment. Filled me for the rest of the day. The Tamarindo drink was housemade - very sweet, yet with a sour final note. Very good and refreshing. Service provided by a young gentleman who seemed to be running the house this Sunday afternoon. He was busy, but stopped by a couple of times to check on my satisfaction. I provided a solid report. El Limon (The Lemon) has a simple successful formula for their expanding empire. Make it basic and comfortable, both in decoration and cuisine. Although the salsa is quite mild and plain. Unfortunately food fell a little short. Just average, overall. I can't pinpoint anything bad but flavor just left no real impact and left me wishing I went elsewhere. No spice at all, which is a con for me but could be pro for others. Even when we asked for hot sauce, the sauce we were given barely had a kick. Overall not impressive but not bad food.
