We just have got the quiet between happy hour and dinner. We started with tableside guacamole and the white cheese with spinach. Absolutely love that a handful of fresh spinach came on the side to add ourselves. For dinner we ordered a variety of tacos, empanadas, taquitos, and a chile relleno. The flavors were good, and we had way too much. We finished with a fried ice cream that we didn't need lol. Service was good, good was quick. Definitely on the list for when I return. read more

This place is such a missed opportunity. Señor Salsa was packed and vibrant on a Saturday night. The service was fast and professional. It had all the makings of a great Tex Mex meal. And then came the food... We started with "nachos with everything." This was an extremely large plate of incredibly soggy nacho soup. Personally, I prefer melted cheese to queso sauce on my nachos, but I've had good nachos with queso. These nachos were swimming in a thin queso. It did not help that the chicken was also very, very wet. For the entree I ordered chiles rellenos. I was anticipating a nice cheese pull. Instead, when I cut into it it bled out the same darn thin queso. It was gross. I'd take Trader Joe's frozen version of this dish any day of the week. This was bad. Finally, I ordered a Long Island ice tea that was very very very strong but also very very very bad. Whether that's a pro or a con depends on your style. read more

As a stoner and a self proclaimed foodie, this place hits all the comforts. Their fresh guacamole is phenomenal. The staff are fast and helpful. The place is clean their refried beans and tacos are exceptional. The rice, eh but boy, o boy, the cheese. THE CHEESE so good. Absolutely love the interior. My only complaint is the bathroom I mean hello it's Mexican food and it's always full of people and you're gonna have one toilet for the men and one toilet for the women. The bartender overcharged for a margarita and refused to correct it. I ordered a Golden Margarita and subbed 1800 tequila (mid tier). The Golden Margarita costs $14.95. The bartender charged me $18.00 then charged me another $12.00 for the 1800 tequila. So I was charged $30 for a standard margarita. Bartender refused to correct it and said it's not his problem that he doesn't get the money. He said I could speak to the manager if I want then told me he wasn't there when I said I want to speak with him. Will never return to Senior Salsa purely on principle. This is bad business. Make sure you check your receipts because they overcharge and hope you won't notice. read more

Love the decor in here, the atmosphere is very warm and welcoming. Staff are so friendly and good at what they do. Lots of parking in the parking lot which is a plus with a good amount of handicap parking. Lunch and dinner specials and decent prices on the large plates of food you get. Sit down and have some chips and salsa while you wait. Margaritas are big and tasty. Been here twice so far and wow oh wow it's a great place. I love Mexican food and this place is top tier. Not sure why there aren't more stars. Food was hot, fresh and delicious. Staff were friendly and fast to bring refills etc. and the price was decent for the amount of food we got. This placed surprised me in the best way! I am from Southern California so my standards are high for Mexican food, but this cute little spot is a GEM! The fresh salsa and guacamole with the warm fresh tortilla chips were a great appetizer. The decor is very much the vibe you'd want, complete with tile floors and heavy wooden chairs. I ordered the chicken tacos and they were delicious, with very generous portions for a good price. The food is good this spot is a gem. I got the queso and nacho for an app. I thought the queso would be yellow it was queso blanco I don't liek queso blanco but it still was good. They give you salsa and nachos when you get here the salsa is good . The watermelon margarita was good i got It with tequila got a nice little bite to it. Their soft beef taco is so good has so much flavor hands down the best soft taco. I also got the tequila salmon with Mexican rice and black beans salmon was good had a slight fishy taste and was dry and can use some seasoning and flavor but was ok. I don't think this place is all that good. The drinks were pretty weak. The food was okay. I feel like my burrito wasn't fried as nicely as I would have liked it. It was little on the soggy side. I got the Senor burrito with beef tips. The beef tips were good. Most of the people in my party enjoyed their food but we all agreed the salsa was bland. No real spice to it. The restaurant itself was also a bit dark. I could barely see the menu. The service also wasn't great. There seemed to be one server in the entire restaurant and he disappeared for most of our meal. I wish a zero rating were available. Our guacamole was served in a takeout dish. A few minutes later, guacamole was made fresh for the table next to ours. I asked for no onions and my quesadilla was served full of onions. We asked for the steak to be prepared medium well. It was served rare. When they took it back to cook it more, it came back medium rare. Despite all of the mistakes that were made, they made no attempt to make it right. Nothing was taken off the check, nor was a complimentary dessert offered. We felt our business was not wanted there. Our server did the bare minimum. This Mexican restaurant is directly across the street from Jefferson-Abington Hospital. Completely walkable from the hospital. Ample seating, attentive service and outstanding - seriously good - guacamole. The menu is huge, and so far on two separate visits the food has been deemed good by myself and other family members. Food is good but portions have gotten much smaller, it's noticeable. Also they have started charging for things they never did. I asked for another salsa dip on the table and they charged me a $1.50. Never have done that in the past. Also they now charge a 3% credit card fee. I know costs running a restaurant increased so just raise your prices!! Stop with all these extra fees. Man what an experience, I wish there was an option for separate ratings; one for the food and one for service. Our 4 adults and a toddler arrived on a cool Saturday afternoon. It was beautiful outside and the indoor area was packed so we decided to eat in their beautiful outdoor setup placed in a portion of their parking area. We sat down with our menus and made our drink order with the waiter who spoke at an extremely low volume. When he returned with our drinks we found that 2/4 of our beverages were wrong. One of which was mine. I asked for a their signature margarita which is a plain margarita and he served me a mango margarita. I told him this wasn't what I ordered and he told me what he brought was better, fine whatever I like mango so I just kept it. Then as we were ordering our meals we made him aware of an allergy and he told us he thinks the item doesn't have it. I stepped in and and told him that they are legally required to confirm and we will not accept a think! Anyway he came back and said it was okay but one of us went to the manager to confirm certainly. Anyway, we got our food and really enjoyed it. The nachos were great, tacos fabulous, quesadillas great, fries nice and thick, and margarita good. Atmosphere amazing! Our table had a lot of laughter, dancing, chatting and it was overall great, until the very quiet dismissive server came back with a louder more pleasant disposition at the time of the bill and tip (coincidence?). I ordered the Camarones Vallarta and it did not disappoint. Seasoned rice, creamy cheese, lettuce and tomato all topped with jumbo shrimp. I had a strawberry mango Margarita which was much too big for me to finish. Very dark atmosphere so perfect if you wanna relax. Food came out fast. They provide complimentary chips and salsa. I enjoyed the salsa, not too spicy. Tamales: it had minced pork, it's ok, not too much flavor, you can skip it. Tostones is dry and the breading makes it hard. Taco shrimp salad: it's my favorite. It's served is fried tortilla bowl. Shrimp is big and fresh. Churros is a good choice for dessert. Crunchy and fresh with chocolate drizzle on top. Fried ice cream: it's a big ball of vanilla ice cream with toasted shredded coconut around it served in a small fried tortilla bowl. My sons don't usually enjoy Mexican food, but I was thankfully able to drag the family out to Señor Salsa a few weeks ago! We started off with chips and salsa, guac, and queso. We ordered the table side guac, and it was definitely worth it. We got a little show and some delicious fresh made guac. The enchilada supreme was good as well as the beef tacos. They are are good choices on the menu. However, the highlight of night was the fried ice cream!! It was delicious. It's not the typical fried ice cream you might think of if you've tried some on a New Jersey boardwalk. It's in a fried shell and filled with ice cream with some sort of flakes that were coconut-like in texture, but not so much in flavor. There was whipped cream on top (who doesn't like whipped cream?), chocolate sauce drizzled, and a little bit of rainbow sprinkles. It not only looked like a dream, it was also very good! I love Señor Salsa! I've eaten here several times (and have also done takeout) and have honestly never had anything but excellent food. My favorite thing to order is the steak fajitas - they're absolutely delicious and the portion is more than enough for lunch the next day.
