The waffle was big and dense with the outer layer having a subtle crisp that reveals a soft interior. Again, very subtle seasonings, they are not overloading the food with masses of flavoring, these people know how to work around their ingredients and let them shine. The chicken and waffles get a phenomenal 9/10 We also purchased an order of Fish and Grits to share with the lobster sauce on the side as I have a slight shellfish allergy and the waitress insisted on putting it in the side even though I told her it was ok (I appreciate the consideration). I rarely order this type of meal but man do I not regret it at all. I'm not even sure what kind of fish I consumed but it was so perfectly fried with the gentlest breading that complemented the perfectly cooked fish. Again the seasonings are subtle, it's not really the boldest of flavors, it just tasted good. The grits were savory while not being overwhelming when combining the fish which ended up being very satisfying bite. The Fish And Grits gets an amazing 9.5/10 I will be coming back, I'd like to try more of what they offer.
