Two years later and still our favorite place to get breakfast. Everything came out piping hot. My husband got a scrapple, egg and cheese sandwich on a bagel. There was a HUGE piece of scrapple and he was very pleased. I got a broccoli and cheese omelet, and it was perfect. The hashbrowns were nice and crispy! The only issue we had were with the juices-- I ordered grapefruit juice and it was definitely some sort of juice blend--not real grapefruit juice at all. We will come back again soon! read more

Stopped in for lunch on a busy Saturday afternoon at this traditional northeastern US diner. It was quite a trip down memory lane for me. Back in 1962 my family took me here for breakfast after my first holy Communion. It was my first time at a diner and the start of my long love affair with Pennsylvania scrapple! Back in those days I believe it was called the Horsham diner but does not appear to have changed much other than the name. We were seated promptly and our server was fast, professional and very friendly. Menu was not extensive but did feature typical diner fare. My wife was thrilled to be able to get some chicken croquettes. That entree came with two sides and either soup or salad. I managed to combine breakfast with a Philadelphia nostalgia twist, the cheese steak omelette. It came with home fries and toast and was very good. Prices were reasonable and the kitchen had the food out in minimum time. Although I don't get back to Pennsylvania very often it certainly makes my day to be able to catch a quick meal in a place like Lancers diner! read more

Just finished an excellent breakfast at Lancer's Diner in Horsham, PA. I sat at the counter with a couple of other dudes and engaged in interesting conversation with my neighbor to the left and the owner of the establishment, while I enjoyed a Veggie Omelet, Rye toast and Coffee. The three egger filled the plate from rim to rim, and was loaded with broccoli, spinach, onion, tomato, mushrooms and the home fried potatoes, I requested be placed inside the omelet. A few splashes of Tobasco and I was hot to trot. Very filling, tasty and satisfying, with plenty of refills of my coffee mug. Our discussions covered many issues of the day, including mask wearing for school children (some initial disagreement, but we found common ground), the U.S. Constitution (I received free copies from the owner, which he distributes to everyone), the CCP (Chinese Communist Party - all opposed) and illegal opioid black market sales by pharmaceutical companies (put the bastards in jail). We clearly came from different perspectives and had desperate sources of information, but reached some consensus due to our calm, respecting demeanor and good grub. It was the best exchange I have had with strangers in a long time. For that alone a fifth star is awarded in appreciation. read more

This place is always packed every time I drive by. One day the family decided to check it out. Simple diner. Food was ok. But the back of the restaurant was absolutely taken over by horse flies. Swarms of them right where they sat us. Flies landing on the food and on the baby. I complained and they essentially said "sorry it gets this way in the summer time." No discount given, no offer to move to another seat. If you're going there in the warm weather, bring insect repellent and insist on sitting at the front. read more

Lancer's offers a family-friendly, family-owned atmosphere, with all your classic breakfast options cooked to perfection with time and experience. The wait staff is friendly, busy, but attentive. They are usually pretty packed during Saturday brunch hours, but the short 15-20min wait is worth your while! You can't go wrong with any dish: French toast, pancakes, omelettes, steak and eggs, and my personal favorite, strawberry waffles with whipped cream! Recently I found myself just north of Philadelphia in Horsham. There were a few diners, and since it was around lunch, I thought I would check one out. When I arrived at the Lancers Diner, it was packed! It's one of the few diners I've waited for seating. Atmosphere: The Lancer Diner is huge with a large parking lot as well. There is plenty of seating. After waiting for about 20 minutes, I sat in a nice booth by the window. Waiting around, it felt very cramped in the diner, but once I sat down, there was plenty of space. Coffee: The coffee was brewed hot, and the waitress brought plenty of refills. Plus bonus, it was locally brewed Lacas coffee. Food: The menu at the Lancers Diner is actually on the smaller side! There is a salad bar and the regular diner options like omelets, sandwiches, and dinner options but there is nothing out of the ordinary. There wasn't anything that spoke to me, so I ordered the smoked salmon omelet. It came with hash browns and toast. The omelet itself was good and had plenty of salmon and onions. The hash browns were fine. Was it the best diner meal ever? No, but it was good. Service: It took about 20 minutes to sit down, but the food came out in maybe 5. Our beverages were filled often. The waitress was friendly and funny which are both bonuses. Overall Thoughts/Would I come back? I liked the Lancers Diner, and I would go back. I've been a customer for years, always found it okay-ish..standard dinner food ,okay soup ,never great .my favorite go to ,meatloaf for dinner ,omelets for earlier in the day. The salad bar is werid. It has been decent in the past ,but now a regular item seems to be a pineapple stuffing kind of deal ,not enough good salad bar food anymore .Salad comes with most dinners.There is also a soup / salad bar option on the menu ,but for the desire to pay for pre made industrial potatoe and or macaroni salad ,werid pepper combos ,and stale bread is not really an option read more

I've been going to Lancers my entire life, and that ended firmly and quickly today. Been out of town for a long time, but always made a point to stop in for a diner breakfast whenever we're back. When you arrive to a middle-school poster print out of the laminated Constitution taped to the door, an eye-roll from the person seating you (apparently for wearing masks) and a table selling copies of a Tucker Carlson endorsed book about how Fauci is the devil, it's clear that they not only don't want our business, but they are hell-bent on actively putting the health and safety of every person who enters their establishment at risk. Seeing as most of the clientele I saw there today was in the 55+ range, they're putting PA's most vulnerable at an even higher risk. Having now spoken about this with many of my friends in the area, this has been a long time coming - I've heard that many people have also had some pretty terrible racial interactions over the years on top of everything else. Save yourself the trouble - Red Lion is just a bit down the road and when we ate there a week ago they were working hard to protect the health and safety of their workers and patrons. read more

I go here when I'm angry, and I always order 2 eggs easy over or poached (depending on my mood), homefries and white toast. They always chat me up and let me read and are very friendly. Worst brunch ever! The first meal I ordered was the Nova Scotia Lox Benedict. The lox was shriveled up and plastic like. Where hollandaise would typically be was dried up cheese that looked as if it had been microwaved. The home fries were uncooked and ice cold. I sent it back and ordered eggs, toast and home fries more well done. The second home fries arrived in a slab, burnt on top and uncooked on the bottom. They were not even salvageable with the generic empty Ketchup bottle. Wish we would have noticed the Ketchup before we ordered and left. read more
