Went to Bullard's for a casual breakfast, and was pleasantly surprised at how delicious it was. This is not your after breakfast joint. They have an expansive menu of some pretty eclectic and delicious offerings. The menu is affordable and portions are great. I ordered the Texican breakfast sandwich which had egg, cheese, chorizo and sriracha bacon. The hashbrowns were so good. This sandwich is not to be missed! You can also order a half order of hashbrowns and they will take 75 cents off your check, or if you omit the hashbrowns all together you can save $1.50. I ordered a half order eith friend onions which I highly recommend. read more

We have been to Bullards a handful of times now and each time I don't want to leave a review and want to give them another shot. Today I think was the last time we will attempt to breakfast at Bullards. The waitresses always seem very friendly and helpful. However, there is an older man and woman who appear to be the owners who wander about, but really just delegate tasks rather than assist the tables. Our food every time has been less than spectacular honestly less than average. Our kids have cooked us better breakfast as they were growing up. For example, today I ordered the American scramble. This was described as Annam eggs, fried tomato, and crispy bacon, a top, and English muffin - I received literally that English muffin on the bottom, soggy over fried tomato next scrambled eggs on top of that, and one skimpy piece of bacon that spanned over the two English muffins. Since it was called a scramble, I assumed everything would be scrambled together at top of the muffins I believe that was partially my fault, but a disappointing meal nonetheless. His scrapple was a 2 x 2 pathetic squishy, mealy, lackluster slab. Eggs over medium were cooked correctly and potatoes, barely seasoned. We waited for over 10 minutes to get our check when the older woman walked by. We asked for our check. She proceeded to pass by us several more times when we inquired again, she said "oh she said she would print it out" but still allowed us to sit there without getting us our check so we could leave The interior definitely needs a refresh with peeling paint on the air ducts that run over top of the dining tables - floors in desperate need of a thorough cleaning and restrooms that I'd rather not even discuss. I will give two stars because we were seated promptly and the food was served hot. Prices were decent and our waitress was friendly. Unfortunately, I don't think we will return. read more

This place is a local gem. It is worth the trip for the muffins alone. Not pictured was the butterscotch krimpet muffin this morning. It was gone so fast, there was no pic. Who ever thought of bacon fried rice? It made so much sense after I thought of pork fried rice. The sauce on the eggs and rice was spot on. The schnitzel was fried perfectly and the caramelized cabbage and homemade mustard sauce just put it over the top. Every week is a new muffin and new specials. The service is great. Tried this after my brothers recommendation. My boyfriend and I love getting Sunday breakfast and we needed a new place to add to the rotation. We went on New Year's Day and got there before it was super busy, but the only seating available was counter seating. This restaurant is very small and there are not a lot of seating options. Something I noticed not just about this diner but diners as a whole the staff is not very attentive. In this case they really could have used someone refilling coffee but I literally had to flag someone down to get my "unlimited coffee refill". Which is also kind of crazy considering I was sitting in front of the coffee pot. If you're looking for a clean or aesthetically pleasing establishment this is not it, it's definitely a little worse for wear but aren't most good diners? I went with the all American but they also have an all American jr. My boyfriend got the cheesesteak omelette. Both were supposed to come with fruit or tomato slices (weird) but we never received them- fine. It was a lot of food that we both got. I really enjoyed the French toast and the potatoes of my entire plate. We'll be back, it'll be interesting to see what it's like on a regular day! I'd like to try something else. read more

3.5 Difficult place to find if you're not sure what you're looking for but definitely worth finding. I had the Warminster breakfast sandwich which came with Sriracha bacon over an egg which was delicious. I do feel a breakfast sandwich should come with more egg then mine did. My breakfast partner shared that the avocado toast was also very good. The highlight was the bacon jam so tasty I could have eaten just that; it was a mouthful of salty sweetness with a bit of crunch. Make the trip you'll enjoy it! read more

3 adults and 2 hungry children at a busy Sunday morning diner could have been stressful but they got our party of 5 seated asap and the staff was so warm and engaging with the boys. With prices being as high as they have to be these days for food supplies, I am determined to eat in family owned places and forego corporate. This was our first visit and every single plate of food got rave reviews with ff and hash browns offering an unexpected fresh cut taste. Similar to Bob's Diner in Manayunk, whatever they cook their food in ruins the flavor of the meal. Cooking spray?? a certain blend of Oil?? My eggs and homefries were covered in it. Typical diner fare in a crowded space, come early (or late) or you will have to wait for seating. I ordered the corned beef hash ($12.95) which was nothing more than cubed corned beef and a side of home fries. The corned beef was rubbery and unpleasant (the texture of pencil erasers) and the dish was wildly over priced for what I got. My husband ordered a bacon and cheese omelette ($9.95) which he enjoyed. I also ordered a grilled corn muffin which tasted significantly of salt but was otherwise ok. The home fries were unevenly cooked. Our waitress was pleasant but I had to flag her down to get a coffee refill and later to get the check. She did not offer to refill my husband's drink. While the restaurant was busy on a Sunday morning there is not a lot of seating so not a lot of tables per server, so I think she could have been more attentive. She never checked on us after dropping off our order at the table. Can't recommend the restaurant but it's probably ok if you go in with low expectations and don't mind the aggressive salt in the dishes, but definitely don't order the corned beef hash. Had to go to Philadelphia Eagles country (Go G-MEN) for a wedding and on the way back was looking for a place to stop for Sunday breakfast. Thanks to my Yelp pals we came across Bullards which was not far off of our route home. Stopped in around 10:30 and was able to get seated right away. Cool little old school luncheonette, place was busy and servers buzzing around. Woman came over to chat with us, assume she was the owner who was very nice. Omelettes seem to be their thing which my wife got, i went for the huevos rancheros which I get whenever its on the menu. Omelette was great, the huevos might have been one of the best versions of the dish I have ever had - was fantastic. Bullard's Cafe is one of our local cafes and it's truly a "sleeper" cafe. It's in a sideways small strip mall and you need to know it's there. That being said, locals here and in surrounding towns love it there. You will find a wait during the busy times as it's not a large place. They do provide speedy and delicious takeout meals as well as dining in. Their food is great, great quality, nice portions, always consistent and timely service. The only reason I didn't give 5 stars to Bullard's is because any non-locals may expect a rehabbed decor. However, this is standard old school, nothing fancy, which, if your a local, is just fine with us as it also keeps their pricing very reasonable! read more

What a nice surprise this restaurant was! Nestled sideways in a strip mall, we'd never have found it but for the great reviews on Yelp. We went on a Saturday morning and business was brisk. But not so much that we didn't get seated within about 3 minutes. We were promptly greeted by a very friendly server who quickly returned with our beverages. Even though it was crowded, the meals came out quickly, nice & hot and beautifully plated! I had a cheesesteak omelette and it did not disappoint. Just wonderful!! My husband had the Warminster Breakfast Sandwich and he really enjoyed it. This is a small business that is doing everything right... the place is very clean inside and decorated in the style of retro 1940s-1950s sandwich shops. We just left the restaurant and we're very disappointing, the service was very slow and when we sat down, the cook came from behind a line and chastised customers behind us for runny eggs. I ordered eggs over easy. My eggs were also runny and my sausage did not come with my meal until I was 3/4 of the way done overall very disappointing and will never go back there again sad. read more

I ordered the Texican omelet with a side of sriracha aioli and it was not too spicy if people may be deterred by that and the chorizo was SO flavorful and yummy! This was such a tasty lunch! It was a cold and bitter day out, with the whole morning spent outside, so I wanted nothing more than a cup of soup...until I saw they had BLATs on the menu (BLT with avocado)! So a cup of soup and half sandwich it was...until I finished that and REALLY wanted another entire plate of exactly that same cup of soup and BLAT. The BLAT was great: crispy bacon and lots of it with no grease on nicely toasted bread. It just hit the spot so perfectly, and I'm impressed they were able to find such good avocados in the middle of the winter. Every once in a while, and this is very rare, you walk into a restaurant for the first time, and feel like you've been there before. What they do offer is service. The kind of service that has been missing from this industry for many years, unless you are a regular guest that is recognized by the staff. But that was not the case here, yet the way we were treated, I felt like they knew us. The server took her time, going over the specials and making recommendations, even suggesting that I hold off on ordering an additional side item until our food arrived to see if we would be able to finish it all. And based on their generous portions, we would not have been able to. The food, which came rather quickly for a full dining room, all around was delicious, with that homemade flavor that you cannot recreate in chain restaurants. The gentleman who seated us checked to make sure that we were enjoying our food. He also came back and cleared some dirty plates. I noticed him bringing supplies to the kitchen, touching tables, pretty much covering all the bases. It was clear he was the owner, and one who gives great attention and care to this place. I ordered the special which was 2 tacos loaded with sausage cheese and bacon with a side of hash browns. This was delicious and it filled me right up. My sister ordered the cheeseburger and it came with like a few fries it was not proportional to the burger. But overall we had a great brunch here.
