This was a complete disappointment. I arrived at 10am, things were slow, and it still took forever to get the meal. Once it arrived the scrambled eggs were lukewarm at best and overcooked, devoid of any moisture. The same could be said for the pancakes. We went to the Dam Good Cafe and had a dam good breakfast. Nothing fancy about this place in the Dublin, PA shopping center. The Dam Good Cafe moved into this location a number of years ago. We have only gone for breakfast but they also serve lunch. There are breakfast specials every day. Friendly staff. Fill your coffee cup to the top frequently. Good service. In and out in a timely manner. Pricing $$ pretty normal for breakfast. Plenty of parking. Take plastic. Have good food. Enjoy! read more

It was ok. I ordered a breakfast sandwich and the price was good for what I got. Service was very nice but only 1 waitress for the whole place during the lunch hour was crazy. She didn't have time to check on anyone and was late to drop the check or take payment. Wasn't her fault, she was darting around like crazy. They should hire more help. Place was very clean and menu was done nicely. Clean bathroom. Not a destination spot for me, but if I'm in the area I may stop again. Great parking. A little back story: I am a super shy person, so I typically go places that have outside eating areas. So, automatically, it's a great start. My waitress (I wish I got her name) she was so kind and straight to the point. The service is so fast. I got an iced macchiato and a Chimichanga. This came with salsa and tortilla chips. I've eaten here several times and each time I'd say it was fine. I especially liked their pancakes. The last time I dined there, not so much. I swear, the pancakes were big biscuits, not pancakes! I sent them back and received the same thing, floury tasting, big biscuits! I believe something was missing from the batter, perhaps not enough eggs or mik. The pancakes were thick, but not fluffy. They were very heavy, dry and tasted like raw flour. The eggs were tasty and the coffee was good. I love driving up through northern Bucks County and stopping along the route for breakfast or a cuppa joe. This morning, with winter exerting its last gasps and a hint of spring in the air, I found myself in the small burg of Dublin. The Dam Good Cafe was right in front of me and I decided to park and head inside to see about its early day meals. The store was bigger than expected, with nice size dining room and two wooden counters along the back wall accommodating five stools apiece. The alert staff waved me over to the bar on the right, and as I settled in took my order for coffee and placed a menu before me. The apparent mistress of the house directed my attention to the specials chalk board where my eyes spied "Breakfast Quesadilla," as an option. Although I had been in a quiche mood walking in, the chance for a semi-Mexican style platter allowed my impulsiveness to rule the moment. I sipped my hot and strong coffee as I waited. People seemed to be locals, many of whom knew each other and were engaged in Saturday pleasantries. Two dudes at the counter were coworkers taking a break from their toils. My meal arrived on an overloaded oval plate, half occupied by the fat quesadilla and the rest with small bore home fried potatoes. A tiny plastic cup with red salsa provided color contrast. The 'dilla' was full of scrambled eggs, sausage, onion, pepper & cheese. It was a huge mouthful and discretion led me to use knife and fork to keep fallout to a minimum. It was very good with excellent taste and texture. The taters were a bit dry and could have used more spice on the grill. I left a lot of them behind. Although the boss lady was attentive to keeping my mug full and seeing what else I might need, when she was busy elsewhere her young staff kept their focus on the tables and seldom glanced over at we few at the counters. Thus, it took a while for us to catch their attention when we needed more java. Still, Dam Good is a bright, cheerful stop on the road into rural northern Bucks. One could say (most likely not for the first time) that Dam Good Cafe is Damned Good! read more

A Dam Good Cafe earned a dam good rating. Enjoyed a late breakfast with the hubby after a run a nearby Galena. Everything was fresh and delicious. The menu is conservative which isn't necessarily a bad thing. The basics were covered at more than reasonable prices. While the menu is modest Dam Good makes up for in beverage choices - in other words, they're a 'latte's' to choose from! (Sorry!) Ambiance is a tad bit sterile but not distracting. Maybe hang some greenery and give it less of a blanche feel so as to not be reminded this little gem rests in a strip shopping center. All good, none bad - give this sweet little spot a shot. read more

I've been a customer for a very long time. The food has always been excellent and the service has always been great! No complaints at all. As of lately, I can see a bit of a change. A few of the waitresses seem to have an attitude, which was never the case. I generally always have breakfast and a few times the food came out luke warm at best! It seems when Staci is there, things run better. My only suggestion is to monitor these young waitresses, as they are not an asset to the business! read more

Went here with some colleagues for an early lunch and they swore by this place. The first thing that I noticed was that the place looks like a 'pop-up' restaurant. The carpet, table and chairs all seem temporary or maybe rented. Imagine if Candid Camera built a restaurant to film one of their scenes. That's what this place felt like. There's a narrow hallway that leads from the dining room to the rear exit door. That's where we ate. I ordered the hamburger which was pretty good. It was plain so I had to ask for lettuce, tomato and pickles. My companions sold me on the waffle fries which were not special. They were coated with some sort of topping which made them extra crisp. My other companion had the Chipotle Wrap which consisted of Cajun chicken, pico de gallo and cheese. Our server was very pleasant and attentive. read more

Solid diner food. A good cup of coffee made even better with a huge selection of coffee syrups. I had toasted marshmallow. Yum! Wife had the strawberry and white chocolate chip pancakes served with crisp bacon. The pancakes were light and fluffy. Wife is allergic to chocolate, so white chocolate (not really chocolate) was a bonus. I had the grilled chicken sandwich. Grilled chicken breast, provolone, hummus and Bruchetta on thick cut toasted wheat berry bread. Great sandwich! Hummus works well as a sub to Mayonnaise. Great place for a quick breakfast. I ordered 2 breakfast sandwiches that should have cost a total of 10.98 plus tax and tip. The amount came to 14.58, 3.60 more then it should have been. The waitress said the prices went up. We didn't see a notice of the price increase. I was firm about only paying the menu price. The waitress said the prices were programed into the computer/cash register already and she couldn't change it. If I had a limited amount of cash, I wouldn't have been able to pay for the sandwiches. Came for breakfast with my family today. All seemed fine until I received my omelet. I took one bite and I knew something in it was rotten. I believe it was the tomatoes. I quietly waited for the waitress to come back and let her know that something was spoiled in there and that I'd like to see the menu to order something else. No apology, no "oh no," no nothing, I just got an annoyed look. I thought maybe it was just me, but my husband even looked at and said, "what's her problem?" She comes back hands me the menu and then comes back 5 long minutes later to see what I wanted. Quite honestly, her attitude was so poor and unapologetic, I really didn't want to spend anymore money there, so I politely declined, all to receive more annoyance from her. My husband's chip beef looked grey and was absolutely grotesque, there was no way I was taking another shot on something else form that kitchen. Quite frankly, we should've just left, but my kids meals were half way decent. My husband took about 2 bites from his meal, was never asked how that was, then we asked for the check. When the waitress comes back she says "I took 2 coffees off the bill and gave you a discount." LOL! This is what prompted me to write a review bc it's almost too good not to share. So- I added up the bill; there was no discount. Two coffees were taken off, but the $10 omelet remained, the one that I took ONE bite out of and put the bitten out piece of food back onto the plate. Yes, that one. Never in my 45 years of life has someone on a wait staff ever charged me for something that was bad. This was not something I ate half of and said I didn't care for; I literally spit my bite out because something in it was rotten. When she came back to collect the bill, I said, excuse me, you left the omelet on there. She grabbed the check out of my hand and sighed and walked away, then muttered to her co-workers that there's nothing wrong with it. So, moral of the story, while at one time the Dam Good Cafe's nomenclature could have perhaps been justified; that was certainly not the case for today. The food wasn't the only thing leaving a bad taste in my mouth. To the young blonde waitress, please take some advice from a person who worked in a restaurant since the age of 12, former restaurant owner, and a person who treats everyone in the industry with compassion, one who understands more than anyone that accidents happen and someone who understands that it's impossible to make sure 100% of the food is good 100% of time, your attitude totally sucks. It is the only reason for this 1 start review. Had you said a simple, "I'm sorry about that," not shown your blatant disdain for my dissatisfaction, and perhaps took my word for my food being rotten, I would've brushed it aside and moved on with my day. Do you think I deliberately ordered something to take one bite and send it back while my the rest of my family ate (or attempted to eat) their meals? Probably not. Needless to say, we won't be going back to the cafe, despite the rotten food, the food that wasn't spoiled just wasn't good enough anyhow, but most of all, I don't need to sit down, and pay to get treated like crap, ever. read more

Clean place. Basic fare, nothing too fancy. Friendly staff. Just with there were more options for those who eat healthy. The menu is fairly set and can't be altered, which tells me that the food is probably pre-made and not from scratch. I'm sure they get better business at the new location across from the DMV. Great food and service. I have come to this diner in the heart of Dublin PA on numerous occasions and have been impressed with the food and the service. It is a phenomenal and quick place to grab a meal if you are in the area. Breakfast/brunch always comes out delicious and the best lunch choices are the fish or pulled pork tacos. While it's labeled a "Cafe" they do have more than just "Cafe" food - think of it more like a "Cafe/Diner". One item of note - they had a wide variety of items on their salad bar. Well shame on me for the number of times I drove by this place and never stopped in for a bite. After a pretty decent hike up at Nockamixon SP, we decided to swing in for a late breakfast. The server was extremely pleasant and it was pretty nice inside. My girlfriend decided on the special which was a taco omelette and I had the turkey chili omelette. I would say that our empty plates were a testament to the quality of the food! Affordable prices, good food and friendly service will keep us coming back.
