People in the US do not realize how good of chocolate Callout makes but you can taste it in the cake. The final good word is that this is a BYOB establishment, and we like that too because wine is always so overpriced. The bottom line is that we will continue coming here for special occasions. I was a regular customer. That ended on 6/10/24. An elderly woman was stuck trying to get through the entrance with her walker. I tried to get up from the booth I was sitting in to help her, when the young waitress blocked me. I said are you going to help her, She said no she can do it. I said you're bad. She walked away over to the rest of the staff and told them something. After that we had no service. The manager who is supposed to be the adult walked around offering refills on coffee to every table but ours. We waited forever for our food to come. I went up to the counter and said is our food coming out. She said she'll check. She walked over to the cooking station looked around came back and said 5 more minutes. After another long wait she brings out only half the food. We had to wait again and when she brought out the rest she said do you want it to go. When the manager walked by i asked for the check. when he came back with it, I said I come here all the time and I never had an experience like this. He said what's wrong. Like he didn't know. I said you'll know when I leave a review on line. He walked away , Then came back and said you don't have to pay. I said No, I'll pay my bill! I can't believe that this adult manager didn't come over and ask me what happened. He just listened to what ever this young waitress told him and played this game with the staff. read more

1 STAR -- Absolutely terrible experience…read more This was one of the worst dining experiences I've had in a long time, and the server/restaurant manager was the biggest problem. She was extremely rude, argumentative, and condescending. She seemed to think that being the manager gave her the right to argue with customers and talk down to them. We eventually had to tell her to stop arguing with us because we had already heard and understood what she was saying. Instead of respecting that, she continued arguing and repeating herself over and over. At some point, enough is enough. And apparently, once she dropped the manager title, she forgot the part about actually managing the restaurant and taking care of customers. She also never came back to check on us during our meal until the very end. We didn't even have silverware when our food arrived. When we brought it up, her excuse was that the restaurant was busy. If you're too understaffed to properly serve the number of customers you're accepting, that's a management problem. Either limit the number of customers you take or hire enough servers to handle the business. "We're busy" isn't an excuse for providing lousy service. Then there was the food. We ordered the special, which was the quiche. It tasted like it had been sitting around for at least several days. It was extremely dry and absolutely not flaky like quiche should be. The pancakes were mediocre at best. We also had a question about the sausage, and once we were told it was only one patty, we understood. There was absolutely no reason for her to continue repeating herself and arguing about it. The whole interaction was completely unnecessary and incredibly unpleasant. This woman needs to understand that customers are not there to be argued with or talked down to. Being a manager doesn't make you the queen of the restaurant, and it certainly doesn't give you permission to treat paying customers like they're an inconvenience. We're local to the area, and after this experience, we will not be coming back. We will also be letting our friends and neighbors know about our experience. Lousy food. Lousy service. An even worse attitude from management. If I could give zero stars, I would. This review will be posted on Google as well.
