Blackened salmon Caesar wrap

MOM's was a nice, chill place to have brunch. Good service, food and drinks. For food I did the Mediterranean pita salad which I really liked. A lot of non-Greek places tend to make the falafel very dry, but the falafel here was perfect, moist and flavorful. Everyone I was with also enjoyed their food and cocktails. I would definitely come back again.

The location was okay, not the best. You have to pay to park. We went on a Saturday and there were plenty of street parking. The restaurant was pretty quiet during the day. We were there during the day, and it was slow. The food was not the great though... we order loaded fries, braised short ribs, and fried chicken and waffles. The loaded fries was not worth it. The toppings were lacking and it was just very soggy and not very f fries. The fried chicken was very dark and dried. The braised short ribs were not bad. A little tough but not bad either the flavor. The service was its redeeming factor though. We were upstairs for an event and were told there wouldn't be a server. If we were to order food, we would order it at the bar. However, the bartender(?) came around to the tables and took people's orders. We were in a big group, and he was patient with everyone.

Cool comfort food menu. Cozy feeling and really cool artwork throughout. Friendly fast service. The bartender was great asking if we wanted to sub a liquor we ordered for one that was on happy hour. House red for HH is ok. Not sure what it is. A bit vinegary Fried pickles - thick cut pickles. Good breading but overly breaded. Nice dipping sauce with slight tang to go well with pickle flavor. Deviled egg- lots of dill. Slight spicyness to it. Spices flavor overpowers all other flavors Wings- great buff flavor. Super crispy. Not too spicy. Tender checken Cheesesteak egg rolls- good flavor. Pretty greasy. Good crunch. Not a fan of the marinara sauce it comes with.

First off the food and drinks we selected were well received. One was amazing, the other so so. Order the Haitian Divorce. The food was really good. The braised short ribs were fab. The avocado toast , generous, fresh and delicious. The service was essentially nonexistent. But, we came for the jazz. They got that. The place is authentic. Come see!

Moms is one of my friends favorites spots and I never actually stopped in until recently because my friend and I were looking for a place to grab a drink and eat a small bite. When we first got there we made our way into the bar area and there was no seats and no one told us to go around to the other side, luckily my friend knew to do so and once we did we got seated. It should be made a little bit more clear or staff should have asked us as we were a little visibly confused. Either way we got seated and our waitress was lovely and sweet. She got us drinks took our orders. Since it was the first Friday of lent I couldn't eat meat which didn't leave a lot of options but I opted for the Mediterranean salad. Which was super tasty and the perfect size, not overly big. The price was fair but their menu is definitely a bit more expensive for the type of food they serve. I'll have to try more another time because my salad was really tasty , the falafel in it was good and had a very creamy center. Overall it was nice, I couldn't tell much for the decor it honestly looked like it was being renovated because of the material of the walls but I think it was meant to look - rustic ? I'll give it another shot, I heard their brunch is good.

Great looking bar and restaurant. Unfortunately, that was it as the food really was subpar.

Loved the chicken sandwich! Great atomosphere. The mimosas are huge but not the best, but what do you expect for the price?

Today was my first time at Genevieves and it certainly wont be my last. I met a girlfriend for…read morebrunch. I had the yogurt parfait and she had avocado toast Benedict and potatoes. Everything was fresh and delicious. The best part though was when the owner came over to ask how everything was and we got to chatting about family. I loved hearing his story and seeing the sentimental pieces he had representing the people he loved on display. What a kind and wonderful man. I'm already looking forward to my next dining experience there.

Genevieve's has been on our must-try list for quite some time, and with another couple tonight was…read morethe night that we were gonna try for the first time. It was all exciting about trying some very interesting dishes on the pre-fix meal, but unfortunately, it was not the stellar experience that I was hoping for. For starters, our server and "Director of First Impressions", Amber, was cold, aloof, and disconnected. She was just running through her role in a very detached manner. We made no connection with our server and the server is 50% of the experience. She was rushing. No one was there yet to take her time, and we felt that we had no connection with our server whatsoever. She didn't show any passion for the dishes other than sharing what she felt were her favorites. In a restaurant, speak in creative terms about the food, have and show passion for the food you represent. The four of us discussed the menu, and we all aligned and were going to taste around the table. Between the four of us, one tried the Thai pork dish, one the shrimp dish, and two the eggplant Parm dish. In summary, we all felt that they were underwhelming, and they missed their mark on expectation and wow factor. For example, the Thai pork dish that I had was supposed to have a Thai flair to it. If there was any, it was on the lower end of the flavor profile. It was a tiny dollop of some sort of red Thai chilli sauce, but it wasn't enough of a flavor profile to make me say yes, that's Thai-inspired, and frankly, it was lukewarm, yes the meat was tender. My wife and a friend had the eggplant Parm dish and also felt uninspired by their dishes. One was overcooked compared to the other; the two asked for additional sauce to give it some more flavor. Yes, it was a nice evening out, and you get a lot for your money with a multi-course dining experience. One other oddity. During the dessert course, which was a type of bread pudding, we were not offered coffee nor tea. Even it would have been extra, who doesn't offer a hot beverage with dessert, especially in the artic temps we are experiencing this winter. I had nearly an hour drive home, and coffee would have been most appreciated. Oh well. So in summary, I would have expected this to be a five-star review all day long. Unfortunately, it's not even close,e and this is coming from 2 couples opinion.

The only caveat is that the dining area is small and can get loud. The meal came quick. We ordered a Caprese Salad which was great. The mozzerella tasted good and the tomatoes were red and fresh. The balsamic they used was also top rate. They split the order in 2 and served on separate plates which wa since so we wife and I did not argue about who got more. For the main cause, I had Poppy's Chicken which is always good. I like food a little spicy and this meets that bill. The sausage on top of the chicken is actually a little hot (spicy). Sometimes dishes like this do not have as much topping as I like. in this case it was perfect. Finally for dessert, we had the Barry callout chocolate cake. People in the US do not realize how good of chocolate Callout makes but you can taste it in the cake. The final good word is that this is a BYOB establishment, and we like that too because wine is always so overpriced. The bottom line is that we will continue coming here for special occasions. The food and atmosphere is great.
