After deciding to forego a visit to another nearby breakfast place, my trusty GPS and a quick scan of yelp led me to this gem, nestled at one end of the inviting Shops at Valley Square shopping center. Absolutely no complaints from my first visit: The staff was pleasant, welcoming and accommodating; food was on point-tasty and prepared as ordered-I especially liked the light and fluffy pancakes and the bright and tangy salad greens; atmosphere was relaxed and inviting. This location has just become so unorganized. I came in for coffee and ground coffee. It took a while for the staff to acknowledge me, but once I did the gentleman was so nice. However, taking a coffee and ground coffee order seemed to be so confusing. My normal location isn't like this. They rang me up for each separately which was weird and had no pens available to sign receipts. Whoever the one woman was working (host I assume who kept walking to the coffee side) didn't acknowledge me at all. My ground coffee didn't come in a normal bag either. We usually go to the Warrington location. The location is nice and most of the employees are pleasant. We recently had a bad experience with a server, Carly. She came to the table with a jug of water but no glasses. We asked for ice for our water. She then brought dirty glass but no ice. The glasses were not just spotted, they had caked on pulp or something that looked like that on them and were clearly dirty. We asked for ice again. She finally brought two glasses of ice so we used those glasses for our water. We ordered breakfast and hot drinks. We waited for our drinks but they never came. Our breakfast came but we had no knives. Carly was nowhere around. I had to get up and get knives from another table. After we got our breakfast and started eating it, we finally got our drinks. We sat and ate our breakfast and Carly passed by our table doing other things at least three times but she didn't check on us. Then she sat down to talk to another employee at a table near the window, which was near our section in the back of the restaurant. When we were about halfway done eating, she finally came over and asked if everything was ok. We were done eating so asked for a takeout container and the check. I had two plates of leftover food that I wanted to take with me. I went to the ladies room and while I was gone, Carly took one of the plates of food that had hash browns on it and threw it away. When I got back I told her I wanted the hash broth to go which is why I asked for a container. She said she was sorry. That was all she said. I told her I'd like some more hash browns to go then, since she threw mine out. She said she would check on that. She came back and told me that the grill was shut off but I could have the hash browns deep fried if I wanted them. I said no. She should have taken them off the check at that point. I didn't ask though. I just wanted to leave because I was annoyed. We paid, tipped accordingly for bad service, and left. I think this server needs to be the-trained in how to wait on tables. Make sure people have glasses, plates, and all silverware and that everything is clean. Drinks should go out before the meal. Check on guests after soon after they've tasted the food to see if everything is ok and if they need anything. Bring containers and don't throw out food that guests would like to bring home. If you do, fix the problem, don't just say "Sorry". The experience was disappointing. If we go back this location I'll make sure to ask for a different server. read more

The service was very polite and the shop seems popular enough to convince you that it's good. I got the Tuscany omelette and the whole dish tasted like fake butter or some weird oil instead of regular butter, and the eggs were definitely not real eggs for the omelette itself. Turning Point never fails to make a good breakfast! My Grandmom and I come here every few months to treat ourselves to a nice big breakfast! This time I got a Western Omelet with bacon, peppers, onions, and cheddar cheese. It came with a side of toast and home fries. It was delicious and made fresh, but it was a big portion so I took the other half of it home! My Grandmom got pancakes and asked for them to be stuffed with blueberries and strawberries. She loved it...great classic pancakes she says. Not to mention they have a coffee bar at this location so they have all different coffee and tea drinks to choose from. I always get hot chocolate, which I highly recommend. They have a ton of neat hot chocolate creations, I have tried most of them and loved each one! As always, Turning Point is a reliable breakfast place and always look forward to coming here. Unfortunately your staff is not trained properly when it comes to gluten free. On my grandsons day off from school he came for breakfast and he is celiac. You served him regular pancakes instead of gluten free. You were very apologetic but his day was ruined. He has been throwing up and not able to leave the bathroom since he got home. You didn't charge them and gave them gift cards but that doesn't help the seriousness of the problem. It is an autoimmune disease that needs to be taken seriously. You need to train better so no one else has to experience this. read more

We have been going here since the weekend they opened. We like the different options and the lattes are great! The food is not always consistent ( I order the same thing every single time we go lol) and service is either excellent or terrible - nothing in between. It is always very clean. Our huge complaint is that it is always, always freezing! Summer, winter - doesn't matter - freezing! We were there this week, the weather outside is in the 30's - I swear the A/C was on in there. It's just makes it very uncomfortable and we had to rush to get out and warm up in the car. For this reason, we don't go very often. read more

The experience and food were disappointing, especially when you consider the fact that breakfast for two will conservatively run you about $50 after tip. We went during a busy Sunday, so we didn't mind the wait. They were out of both drinks we wanted to try, but the cold brew I wound up with was strong and plentiful. We waited about 40 minutes for our food after ordering. I ordered the shakshuka off their winter specials menu. The sauce was incredibly thin to the point that it was like broth. First time here on 11/16/24. Joined the waitlist about 30 minutes before we expected to arrive. As we are walking to the restaurant, I get a text that says they're ready for us. I show the text to the hostess, and she says, "Hmm, I don't know why you got that text. It'll be another 5-10 minutes before your table is ready." 15-20 minutes later, we're still waiting to be seated, and I see a couple who came in after us get seated. So I ask how long it will be until we're seated? "Umm, your table is getting set up now." We get to our table, where we sit and wait and wait and wait for our waitress to come over. She apologized when she finally arrived. We placed our order right away since we knew what we wanted. The waitress gave us a complimentary plate of fruit to eat while we waited for our meals. We both had the GOAT omelet, which was delicious, and it was hot from the first bite to the last bite. People need to be made aware that the waitlist doesn't guarantee timely seating. My parents are snowbirds and when they come home from Florida, their biggest gripe is that they can't find a good breakfast spot. Apparently Southwest Florida is the Land of Omelettes and Pancakes and Southeast Pennsylvania is a hellscape of sad diner food. So when they told me about their plight, I immediately directed them to Turning Point. I'm a lifesaver. Turning Point knows what they're good at and focuses on their strengths. The menu is mainly breakfast food with some light lunch options as well. This focus allows them to come up with creative takes on basic breakfast foods. The last time I went there I had the pancake flight, which lets you try 3 varieties of their pancakes. I went with chocolate berry (chocolate chips topped with fresh strawberries and chocolate sauce- good but too rich for me), cinnamon roll pancakes (cinnamon swirl with cream cheese frosting- decadent but delicious) and lemon blueberry (OMG, heaven. Get these.). My boyfriend got the chicken and waffles which were chicken tenders and hot honey on a fluffy Belgian waffle. Don't worry, if you're not piggy like us, there are plenty of light and fresh options too including their "good and good for you" section. Or if you want to challenge us in decadence, check out their selection of eggs Benedicts or the OMG French toast. Since you're likely there for breakfast, coffee is a must and they have everything from the sugary crazy concoctions like a SMores latte to an excellent selection of French press blends. I recommend the Jersey Devil, but if you're looking for something iced, just know they make the ice cubes out of coffee too, so it's not watered down. Turning Point started in NJ so the inside has a nice, light and beach vibe that makes you feel like you're at a shore cafe. There's also a small outdoor eating area if you want to people watch while you brunch. There's reminders all over to be kind to the staff, which bums me out that it's even needed. Our server was a really nice young man who was super helpful and upbeat even though he was busy. It's easy to be nice with great staff like that. Some other final tips, it's BYOB, so bring your own champagne for that mimosa, don't bring a Discover card since they dont accept them (at least last time I tried) and be prepared for a possible wait. It's worth it and you'll be able to shop at some of the local stores while you're waiting or grab a coffee at their Cowabunga Cafe. Came here with my friend for breakfast before going to the Philly Auto Show and I gotta say it was pretty good. The wait was minimal and our food came out fast. I had the Southern Chicken and Waffles and it was really good. The perfect amount of sweet and spicy to start off the day. I also had a French Toast Latte and omg that thing is fire. Not terrible, not great. Pretty fast service for a very busy place. We signed up online via Yelp to get on the waiting list and we waited about an hour for a busy Saturday morning. Our waitress was lovely, super friendly and quick. Food had so much potential but was lacking overall in small details. We got the XXL bourbon pepper bacon, chicken and waffles and some flatbread - I tried to find it on the menu to refresh my memory but forgot. Also got the salted caramel mochachino. The bacon was super yummy. Chewy and thick and slightly sweet with the cinnamon. Chicken and waffles were fine - the presentation was a little messy and the chipotle flavor was a little weird. The flatbread was overall not bad but the crust was so soggy and not crispy at all. Again, fine, but not great. The mochachino was very yummy but very sweet! Great for my sweet tooth, not so much hubby's. Did not love this meal but by no means did I hate it. Would recommend if you are really craving brunch somewhere. read more

We went to Turning Point and it was a good experience. We went around 8:30 & only had to wait for about 10 minutes. I always get the Wilbur Skillet, which is absolutely delicious. I also got the Cold Brew coffee, which I loved. My fiancé thought his meal was okay, but that his potatoes were dry, but loved his waffles. This is my second time here. First before covid and now the last time is during covid. The tables are all spaced and they have outdoor seating. Staff is gloved and masked which is great. We were able to eat outside but It was a significantly longer wait and they don't do reservations. Obviously It was very busy around breakfast/brunch when we went but we knew that. Service was so so not overly slow but not too fast. My breakfast was good. Potatoes seemed slightly on the undercooked side but my boyfriend also got them and his were perfect. The omelette was good almost too cheesy and way too many red onions. Otherwise was good overall. Iced coffee with vanilla was great. But could take It or leave It. This is my favorite restaurant by far! I came in to try the new seasonal menu and picked the lobster Benedict which was AUUUGGGHHHHMAZING! I told my son we should "kidnap" the chef and bring him/her home. He was all for it provided he also made him pancakes on demand. Normally when we come in we specifically ask to sit in Ryan's section but as he's no longer serving (bv he earned a well deserved promotion) so we were sat in Emmy's section. As usual we were very happy with her too! Emmy, was personable, attentive, and patient with my son and I. She always had a bright smile on her face when she came to our table which made us feel very welcomed. We did get to see Ryan at the table too. He came over to see how everything was including our overall experience, food, interactions with our server and other staff, and how we were doing personally. He's such a kind hearted man and Turning Point restaurants is lucky to have this uplifting, motivating, and sweet man within its ranks! read more

I know so many people rave about this place but I just couldn't seem to find anything to like. Everything here seems so dated and forced. I tried the Grande Huevos Rancheros and ordered one of my eggs poached and the other 2 scrambled. It was a huge portion! So I recommend getting and an appetizer and main meal to split between two people. The food seemed very fresh and nicely prepared but everything was so bland. I added extra salt and pepper but that just barley saved it. The orange juice I ordered tasted like something out of a mix. This place and all the food looks really cute but there's just no substance. Just like all the plastic crown molding around the place it's all for looks. read more

This restaurant gets better and better as time goes on! :) I love how they have a coffee shop when you walk in (Cowabunga) where you can get coffee to go, or you can purchase t-shirts, teapots, or sugar containers (that they have within the store) Which was perfect because my Nana and Mom literally wanted to buy the sugar container they had at the restaurant, and we didn't even know that they sold those! The wait time was not bad (we went a half hour after the open, at 8:00 AM). We were seated pretty much right away (and they now do a waiting list through Yelp where you kind of do reservations by "putting your place" in line, so you can come at the appropriate time when they are ready to seat you!) We were able to choose where we wanted to sit (so we chose the very back room which is secluded from everyone else with a fireplace!) We always love the decorations inside and the bathroom was very clean. My Mom and I loved how they have an arm bracket on the door of the restroom so that when you leave, you don't have to touch the door handle and get germs! We have never seen that anywhere before, but we were so impressed!! Our waiter was really friendly and helpful and super accommodating! My family ordered regular and decaf coffee, and I got a caramel iced coffee with cream. The caramel syrup comes on the side. The waiter mentioned that the serving was for two, so I really only needed to put in half the syrup shot. However, after doing that, I hardly tasted the caramel, and ended up using the entire thing. I guess I like my coffee sweet... :') My Aunt ordered the Western Omelet (and she substituted sausage instead of the ham), my Mom ordered the Salted Caramel Waffle, my Nana ordered the Lemon Blueberry Dream pancakes, and I ordered the OMG French Toast. Seems to be worse every time we've come here. The service was ok. Waiter took about 5 minutes to come to our table. That's no big deal though. The Brioche French Toast is nothing like described. Menu claims egg and vanilla batter for that French toast, but it tasted like bread thrown on a grill with no batter. Very disappointing. The Mushrooom Swiss omelet had no flavor whatsoever and lacked, well, mushrooms and Swiss. That was scattered sparingly throughout. The texture of the omelette itself didn't look appealing. They flatten the omelette here. Boring taste and boring presentation. The potatoes were the only thing that had seasoning. Sadly it was too much salt. The one thing I did live was the freshly squeezed orange juice. That was delicious. I don't believe we'll try here again. Five times and it never seems better. Not worth it. Sadly. read more

I was so excited I found this place, somewhere different with a lot of good options & wanted to try it for my husbands birthday brunch with one of our best friends. We had to wait 1 1/2 hours. I was never told or aware they did call ahead seating but we overheard people who did this had to wait almost just as long. I was a little annoyed after we finally got seated there was a coffee shop attached to the restaurant we could have had coffee at while we waited. * we would have never waited that long but 45 minutes turned to 10-15 more etc. The restaurant was very clean and well taken care of but the unfortunately for our table the service had some hiccups that were taken care of my a very nice and willing to rectify the issues. We ordered breakfast nachos for the table, we did enjoy them. I ordered eggs benedict but they were completely smothered in hollandaise sauce, making my dish less than appetising. Luckily I had the nachos before hand. My guests both ordered chicken and waffles, they said it was good but nothing to really bring them back for. It could be we happened to go on a very busy day or staff called out but that was not the way I planned on spending my mid morning to early afternoon. read more
