There were lots of really positive reviews for this place so I was excited to get here. Pros: it's in a cool shopping area, is attached to Turning Point so you can get high protein breakfasts, there was plenty of space, lots of outlets. Cons: Service was a little slow and waiters from Turning Point came over to complain to the baristas about tables not tipping well (but not a huge deal), ambiance is a bit sterile. I wouldn't come out of my way to come here again but I appreciate that it was clean and the coffee was pretty good. read more

Stopped by for a cold brew and was pleasantly surprised. It was a little hard to find the location because it's part of a complex and it appears that the turning point is the actual restaurant that the coffee shop is located within. Service was a bit slow, but it was be probably because it was a Saturday morning. We opted for the two cold brews and it included the coffee ice cubes, which was a nice addition since I hate watered down cold brew. I would have loved to try other things but it was just too busy to ask questions or anything in addition. If I am back in the area, I'll try again! read more

This was a trendy and hopping coffee shop! The barista was very friendly and schooled on offering me in-depth descriptions for the different coffee drink selections that I asked her about. The merchandise in the store was interesting also and they sold t-shirts and mugs too. I didn't stay for any quick eats, although they had a nice menu selection to choose from. Since it was the start of the fall season, I ordered a pumpkin chai latte which was very good! So comfy friendly and good I'm in the coffee shop but had the big easy brekky with my fresh made coffee I'm cool calm collected and full The restaurant side is petty busy for Sunday brunch but the coffee shop side is open and great for one or two people to sit The waits are reasonable and every thing made to order. I loved the Big easy Benedict It's on corn bread so that was a surprise. If I weren't full I'd order a second one The best part is that they are expanding (turning point) and I'm near (or visit) some of the other sites. So I know where to go!! Highly recommend read more

The baristas are inexperienced and careless so my espresso was lackluster, at best. The muffin was dry. The spot isn't cozy or inviting. It wasn't the worst, technically, so I gave it two stars because I can imagine an even more unexciting spot. But that's all I can say. Go somewhere else. read more

I love it here! Just coming for coffee for the first time and it was made perfectly! Costumer service is amazing, no attitude or annoyance from anyone! Went on a Sat morning - Chaotic energy, understaffed, and coffee was sour. You're better off anywhere else for your morning brew.

Very cute, modern and clean atmosphere. I ordered off the food menu and got the avocado toast, it was delightfully delicious. Also ordered a coffee. Great bang for your buck. Only recommendation is to be prepared that it's mainly to go and there is no good seating availability unless you dine on the other side. read more

Average - not sure how the latte tastes because it is so f'in hot! Wrapped a napkin around the cup sleeve ...seriously too hot. And 2% milk so much harder to singe than Monday which is essentially water. Store on a late Sunday was out of both fruit teas but hadn't changed menu / staff seemed frazzled and the general store appearance was messy. First time here and likely the last. Just wasn't impressed. Like local roasters but this place didn't seem local. And if you get the chai latte you might want to know that the first ingredient in the powder is sugar. Bleck! read more

Came in for two cups of coffee. The cashier didn't hear my boyfriend the first time with his order. She had a disgusted look on her face (even with the mask on, we could tell) and shook her head and said "uh... what?" Instead of asking if he could please repeat himself. That alone made it awkward and uncomfortable. When we got our coffee's about 10 minutes later, neither of ours were hot, more like lukewarm. I'm willing to give a second shot, I understand she may have had a bad day. Otherwise the inside looked pretty clean and is a cool spot to sit down for a coffee break. read more

Ambience is nice, seating limited. I had the Rwanda light roast, which was ehh. They use a micro mesh filter in a BeeHouse-type dripper. What results is a fuller-body coffee with more oils, like a cleaner French press. There's a sign that declares paper coffee filters kill flavors. I actually prefer the cleaner cup that a paper filter produces - you're able to pick out the notes better. This cup was rich, but muddled. My wife ordered the Colombian medium, which was better suited to the brew method, in my opinion. If ordering here, I would recommend you go with the medium or dark roasts, not the light. A plus is the cost-- almost all their cups of drip are under $3 read more

Do not order a cappuccino here. For a coffee roaster it was a joke. There are better cappuccinos for cheaper. The espresso shot didn't seemed to have been tamped properly. The froth was not uniform. Over all terrible no character to it. read more

Just left there location. I ordered a egg white on a bagel with onions. 25 minutes later i received my bagel. I left and took it to work. When I opened it not only was there a bagel with onion there were carrots, broccoli,etc.Seems like a nice place but unfortunately first impressions are the most important! read more

I tried the iced coffee and was hoping to get the coffee ice cubes and not the regular ones . I'll let that slide since the cold brew was delicious and the staff is friendly. The iced coffee on nitro is excellent! You don't need milk or sweetener. They offer regular ice cubes or coffee ice cubes, and don't charge extra for milk alternatives. We finally have a good coffee shop in Valley Square! read more

I would not recommend this place for a quick grab and go. It took forever to get 2 breakfast wraps and two iced lattes. The breakfast wraps were bland and boring, and we ordered vanilla lattes (as we always do) and the vanilla was incredibly overbearing. I thought maybe just the first sip or so but it never got better and I couldn't finish mine. It basically just tasted like vanilla syrup and milk. read more

It kills me to have to do this, but three stars. When Cowabunga Roasters first opened it was exactly was the area needed; nothing but DD and Starbucks around here. But the quality of service and coffee here has significantly decreased after the first year. I just bought a hot, medium body coffee and was handed a cup of cold, watered down grounds. How did you just do a pour over with cold water??? They should probably put a trash can outside their door because I had no where to throw the drink out. read more

I couldn't tell if it was too much syrup or the espresso not strong enough or too much milk and it was probably all of the above. Quite literally I was disappointed, several times. The generic table coffee tasted like watered down mud. The Kenya AA was highly acidic and repeated on me for the rest of the day so I never ordered that again. The Jersey Devil was not drinkable in my opinion, kind of like Chock-Full-of -Nuts.The 'Kona blend' was not good and I had it made as a French press, but wow it tasted nothing like the Kona coffee I've been drinking for years. This was rough and bitter, maybe because I drink it black or with some cream but the added cream didn't even smooth over the harsh taste notes. I asked what was blended with the Kona to make KonaBlend and they did not know. I asked how much % Kona coffee was in the KonaBlend and they did not know. I suspect very little Kona is in the Kona blend. 'Jamaican Blue blend', same story except that it was more drinkable. It's a high price to pay for a single French press if it's not even high grade coffee. Friendly staff, tries to please, the coffee quality is not their fault. read more

I stopped by this shop this morning. The staff was so friendly. I wanted to order my food and just sit off to the front and eat it without having the waiter service. They were totally fine with this.
