It's a smallish coffee shop in the middle of Ambler with lots of goodies. The medium roast coffee is always good. I always peek at the pastries to see if there's a Kouign Amman, then contemplate whether I'm deserving. As a huge SEC fan, my go-to sandwich is the R5. They use the best ingredients - lightly toasted potato roll, slightly salty pork sausage, freshly fried egg and American cheese - a symphony for the morning soul. Counter service is usually quick and friendly. There's plenty of seating, but can get crowded on rainy days. Free refills for dine-in coffee - they have my "Best of Ambler" vote.

Amazing breakfast sandwiches with great coffee, yes please! First food item I tried here was a pork roll, egg, and cheese sandwich. They load up the pork roll with at least two slabs of it and hot dam you can really cherish the sodium packed delicioso breakfast meat in this option. Later in the week I tried their Chicken salad in a Croissant, which came with fresh apples, nuts, and cranberries. This sandwich tasted magnificently light and yet filled you up with the nutrition packed yummy proteins spread inside the Croissant. Lastly, the dark roast coffee, this has a sweet biting taste to it, not overly dark. I splurged yesterday, and also tried the cappuccino, I am always hesitant to try cappuccino out as I have very high expectations. Luckily, the cappuccino was outstanding here. A little more pricey than the drip coffee but it doesn't let you down when you feel like mixing up your daily caffeine routine. I do not see any competition for my coffee business monies to be spent anywhere else in the borough of Ambler. I plan on reviewing many more restaurants in the borough of Ambler, if it interests you to stay abreast to the cuisines offered in Ambler, feel free to follow me on my journey. As always people SYOY!!!

Cold brew to go - dark roast. Yum!

Such a great place. Small menu but everything is fresh and delicious. I got the R5 with pesto mayo and turkey sausage. My son got the chicken salad which had too many nuts for him. My in laws loved their egg, cheese and bacon. They said the roll was so fresh. My husband had the burrito. The best part was the cold brew dark roast. I had two of them (discount for bringing my own cup) and purchased the cans to go since I am staying in a hotel. Guaranteed yummy coffee for the rest of the trip. Score!

Love this adorable local coffee shop! I am doing a show at a theater a few blocks away and this has become a go-to for me and my cast. The service is always fast, there are a good amount of seating options, and everything I tried is delish! It is a great spot to grab a coffee, bring your laptop, and get some work done. I had the iced latte and avocado ricotta toast at my most recent visit. The latte was great as always. I LOVE their avocado ricotta toast! The olive oil and red pepper flakes are a nice addition and it is beautifully presented. I would get this again and again!

Yoooooo listen.... This joint right here!!!!! Was out riding my motorcycle and looking for a diner or cafe and this place popped up. We stopped in and the ambiance was awesome, simple, inviting. We ordered the Main St Bacon Egg and Cheese, it was amazing!!! Still warm, halfway through. Seasoning was on point! Crazy work here!!! Come here. Don't second guess it. Come here..

I've been wanting to try backyard beans for awhile after buying their bagged coffee and seeing them at the lansdale farmers market. I finally got the chance to visit and I was very impressed with my coffee ! I got the pumpkin cold brew and was just expecting flavored cold brew but it was so much better ! It was pumpkin flavored, with a cream foam on top and caramel ! Honestly so heavenly. I wish there was a little less Ice or a bigger drink because I just wanted more ! Their menu is pretty minimal and they do have food offerings as well which I'll have to try next time! The cafe is very minimalistic and they do have a to go fridge and some merch for sale as well! I'll have to also check out the lansdale location!

Our first roastery trip of the new year and backyard beans was a good choice. We ordered a mocha latte and a regular latte, both with oat milk. Both were creamy and the mocha wasn't too sweet, which is the usual deterrent from ordering a mocha. The salmon avocado toast was very reasonably priced at $8, but it tasted a tad fishy. Our beans, once we got the right grind setting were almost sweet, it was really nice coffee experience--makes you want seconds.

I have been to Backyard many times and never get tired of visiting this place. As others have said, it is definitely a millennial/bougie place but you cannot beat their coffee. I love that this place exists right on Butler. Their sandwiches (breakfast and lunch) are all great and well thought out - more than just your standard B.E.C. We only stopped in for coffee and tea today but the couple after us got two cappuccino "for here" that were both finished really nicely. They have an awesome plant wall that has over a hundred living plants on the wall. They also have awesome decor inside. PRO TIP: Grab a bag of their beans while you are in the shop. They typically have a bigger selection that what you can find in Whole Foods. If you are in the area and looking for a quick bite from a local spot, this is your place. They make all of their food to order but always have some great baked goodies on the counter. If you can deal with "millennial" vibes of this place, definitely check it out!

The blueberry sweet cream matcha latte was delicious. I had the blueberry tart to go with it. The combination was tasty.

The music is great, the energy is welcoming, and the staff truly makes the experience special. Azlyn makes the coffee, and she is so caring, kind, and focused. I love seeing young people who take pride in their work. she's a sweetheart and always professional. And then there's Rachel; my girl, the Biscuit Pusher . She's a ray of sunshine with such great customer service. She remembers me every time, and her energy is just unmatched. I might have to get her a pin that says Biscuit Pusher because she owns that title! The cashiers are friendly, management is attentive, and they genuinely want you to have a great experience. If there's ever an issue, they fix it right away. Tara, the owner, is amazing. Even when she's busy, she makes it a point to check on guests and ask how everything is going. She makes suggestions to make your biscuit sandwich selection go to another level. That level of engagement goes a long way. The quality of the biscuit is always on point. My only issue is that they tend to fall apart when you try to pick them up. I usually have to eat mine with a fork because they crumble so easily. I'd love if they could adjust the texture just a bit so they hold together better. If they did, they'd be perfect! If you haven't gone yet, get there. Let me know how your experience was. I'd love to hear.

The biscuits for their sandwiches are flakier and much better. If you think you have twenty-years left to live, you might want to knock out a few things on your bucket list before ordering. They have a sign that says something like this isn't fast food and there isn't anything fast here at all. The staff and customers all agree with that slogan. No one is hiding it. A few weekends ago, we waited over 45 minutes like idiots for our food. I had a $50 gift card, most went to this meal, and I was ready to walk out. Sadly, I didn't complain to management, because the line was longer than the line to order food. They said refunds would take one week and the people who said they really would never come back, had the managers get their food quicker than ours. It's an interesting business strategy to ensure the angry customers who won't return got their food first, but I get it. If less people frequent this place, then the lines won't be as long. They even said there was no manager on duty. Anyone watching the staff work would know that no one was lying. No utensils, napkins at the tables, just people sitting there waiting for their to-go order and then freeing a table later. If you are one of those weekend people with nothing to do until you have some structure at work on Monday, this is the perfect place to waste most of your day, to get you that much closer to work. Sweet treats are alright, nothing special. Breakfast sandwich could be worth it, but you could also go to the worst grocery store in town and make your own better biscuit and sandwich in the amount of time you have to wait. $8 left on our gift card and in a perfect world I'll misplace it.
