We enjoy the atmosphere, even if it gets a bit too loud at times. We have our favorite manager, she's quick to fix any problem that may come up. No waiter to be seen for 15 minutes, then didn't see food for another 45 minutes. Once the food arrived I started with the bread, and someone with me pointed out the MOLD patches after I had taken a bite. Had to spit it out, and ended up spraying my omelette in the process. No check-in from the waiter after about 10 minutes, so I walked it back to the kitchen and brought it to their attention. No apologies or concern, just an offer to "remake it". Cherry on top? The serving size for the food is excellent, especially for the price. I even had to take 1/2 of my breakfast home. I absolutely love first watch , it's about time they opened in Montgomeryville! The chickichanga is so tasty and creative I think it is one of my favorite breakfast items ever. The chorizo is the star of this dish and I would recommend anything with chorizo as an ingredient. I also love the pancakes, they make seasonal variations and I have had the pumpkin pancakes that were awesome. The potato's are also far better then the average breakfast places in the area , delicious. I have only visited two locations, the first time I dined at the Hershey location I was blown away. I thought it was a locally owned fabulous place and when I found out it was a chain I was in shock. I'm so happy that they are growing and have opened in Montgomeryville. The remaining dishes took at least 15 minutes longer. I ordered the BLT Benedict. It was decent. However the plate was completely covered with spring mix. The eggs were slightly undercooked, there was barely any evidence of bacon and one slice of avocado. Honestly, won't come back. First experience and it was bad. To start off, we joined the wait online for party of two, it told us the wait was 0-5 minutes. Ended up being a 40 minute wait. The host couldn't find our first or last name, and didn't even know she could look us up by phone number. After 40 minutes we were sat, but our waiter took another 15 minutes to come over, then food took 20 minutes to come out. Poor Service As for the food, it was mediocre. The food tasted good. We ordered: a blueberry pancake, traditional breakfast, and a side of bacon. We were surprised that the traditional breakfast's eggs were smaller then the side potatoes. I've been coming to First Watch for breakfast and brunch since I was a little girl. The food quality, friendly service, and overall ambiance has always been better than your average diner. The redesign is a breath of fresh air, and this new location is fantastic. I'm sure on weekends you can get caught in the weeds, but on a regular weekday it should be a pleasant experience. This is our first time at a First Watch location and it exceeded my expectations, especially for a soft opening, The restaurant has a farm-style decor and it's bright and inviting. I had the smoked salmon eggs-Benedict. They were well prepared and tasty yet the hollandaise sauce was too lemony. My husband had the works omelet which he enjoyed. The ingredients resembled Homestyle preparation. We each had the seasoned potatoes( menu states they are available upon request) which were a bit salty but appealing with nice size diced potatoes and sautéed onions. We had coffee and a carafe was also left at the table. If you request water, an old-fashioned milk bottle will be left on the table.
