I love this place. It is purely old school, from the ambiance, booths, the clientele, the reasonable prices and the farm freshness of the food. Omelets were large and fluffy. The sausage was fresh and abundant and tasted like sausage SHOULD taste. The home fries delicious. Fresh toast and amazing coffee and/or decaf rounds out breakfast every freakin' time. This is as much a review as it is a thank you. I'm originally from Philly but moved out of town 7 years ago. I came back this weekend to visit my family and we needed a table of 7 on a busy Sunday suitable for babies and hungry kids, We were sat within a reasonable time and the food was good. The service was attentive BUT the reason this place gets 5 stars is because of the community. There was an older gentleman with a hearing aid and grandfatherly manner that approached our table for polite conversation. In between bites of raisin French toast and a corned beef omelette, we engaged and introduced him to our 4 month old family member. He couldn't have been nicer, or so we thought. After a few minutes of pleasantries, we wish each other well and I asked for the check. It turns out this man paid for our meal. I literally jumped up and tried to find him outdoors but just like that, he was gone. I just want to say thank you to the gentleman and waitstaff. Apparently, he's done that multiple times and aside from leaving a good tip and paying it forward, a great review is the least I can do. Thanks! read more

I went here for brunch a few weeks ago for the first time. It was okay. It's a nice atmosphere and clean, I was looking forward to trying a new place. I sat myself at the counter and the first waitress I had was not very friendly. She bumped into my back/chair multiple times walking by me and hit my purse hanging on the back of my chair. After the third or fourth time, it fell onto the floor and she did not apologize. She hesitated to offer to pick it up as well, when she was the one who hit it multiple times. I found it awkward and weird that she kept doing that, and was not even apologetic. Twice might be a mistake but three or four times felt intentional. Very odd.. Another waitress began serving me and she was much more friendly. I ordered a waffle with fruit, and eggs Benedict. They were both good. You can't really mess up a waffle though. The eggs benedict had very thick ham. The hashbrowns were not seasoned at all. I wanted to like it more but it was just okay. I don't think I'd go back for the service alone. read more

Stopped in this morning and got the breakfast special with avocado toast, and the eggs on top... Everything was good except for the avocado... There was some process spread that they put on there in that real avocados.... For 12 bucks I think they could go out and buy some fresh avocados to put on their processed bread. There is something about old Lansdale, PA, that draws me back. This day, in the mood for a good breakfast, I decided to return there to check out another of their interesting kitchens. The old yellowing sign out front was all that remained of the original 5 stool counter and luncheonette design after a modernization. Bright white was the first impression. I sat at the counter and was immediately greeted by Taina and Shay. The menu offered many choices, and I went with the Country Vegetable Omelette with Provolone, rye toast, home fries and coffee. The Bunn-O- Matic drip was strong and hot. The platter was full when delivered, and I did my best to eat it all, but couldn't. It was filling and tasty with a truckload of greens. The house was full when I arrived, and high turnover kept it that way. Customers seemed local, many in Eagles garb before the afternoon kickoff. I don't usually make my way to Lansdale that frequently to be able to stop for breakfast but this place was on my list for awhile. It's a small little diner with booth, table and counter seating. Only two waitresses. You seat yourself. It's nice and clean and new looking! They have a decent menu with a lot of staples. I was torn between a few things but ultimately went with a breakfast sandwich on a croissant. The potatoes were really good that came with it, I wish I would have gotten onions. Apparently you can as I heard a waitress ask a group of regulars. Lots of regulars in here which I love. Free refills on coffee and overall very quality for a diner and good service! They have breakfast all day if you want. I went with French onion soup and buffalo chicken wrap special for lunch. I enjoyed them all so far. The staff went so far to give me excellent service too. So worth driving here. I also like to point out to uneducated mask cultists who unfairly make harsh judgements of this place that harmful health effects of mask-wearing are real and I'm glad the staff is standing up for their rights. This little diner reminds me of the diners out of Philly. Always friendly staff, clean and great cup of Joe! The food is always delicious and proportions are large. Chipped beef is out of this world! Prices are good, but the quality of the food isn't up to tigers two family restaurant which is on the same road just a mile and a half away from each other. I have ordered a couple of take out meals here and it seems that every time one or two things are incorrect. Went here for the first time earlier this week when I heard that they were open for indoor seating and that their staff doesnt wear masks! I am completely against the shut down of indoor dining in any capacity for a virus or ANY reason! I am also completely against the wearing of masks so I am looking for restaurants who are defying the mandates and staying open and not forcing their customers or employees to wear masks. It was extremely clean and bright in there. You can tell they recently remodeled the place. The food was good typical diner food. Service was good.
