My friends and I live the Mill. It is always so good at breakfast or lunch. They are very friendly there.

We stopped by Wednesday for a quick lunch. Limited space downstairs for ordering and grabbing a seat. Tables and service are all upstairs. No signs; you just got to figure it out :) Cool rustic decor upstairs. Buffalo chicken hoogie very good with ample filling Turkey Rueben was okay. Too Light on the turkey. Chicken wrap was good. Eclectic and rustic The Mill embraces the esthetic of the building it occupies. Exposed brick, open beam ceiling and even a spiderweb feels almost intentional. Food - I ordered the special pizza of the week and after quite a wait, it was brought undercooked. The 'crust' was limp and not at all crispy as would be expected with a wood fire oven. Service - Slow and inattentive. Our server (mkronmiller) seemed more interested in a table of acquaintances and pretty much ignored our table for the second half of our lunch. First time dining in we usually order takeout but we decided to come in for lunch, and it was awesome! A friend recommended The Frenchie, and it definitely did not disappoint. It was delicious! I also ordered a side of ranch for my fries, and their ranch is thick and flavorful just how I like it. My friend got the Cheeseburger Tots, her go-to appetizer, and now I totally see why she loves them. The service was fantastic. Our server, Bri, was super attentive, quick with refills, and made sure everything came out just right. Disappointed in my service. It took over 25 mins for me to receive my food after I ordered. I was a solo diner. I ordered before the table of three next to me. Their meals were delivered before mine. I realize it could have been my order but honestly how long does it take to fry a crab cake and french fries. Server was mostly nonexistent. The crab cake platter was good considering this establishment was a pizza and sandwich type of a place. The crab cakes were decent size and filled with crab meat. I decided to order dessert because they had pumpkin cheesecake on the menu as a special. Was disappointed when I had to order another dessert since they were out of the special. I didn't really care for the deconstructed strawberry shortcake. I have mixed feelings about this review. Food was good. Rustic atmosphere was cool. Can't really get past the service needing improvement. Note: parking lot is very small for such a popular establishment. I Work in the neighborhood often get pizza from The Mill it is amazing, always enjoy!

One of our go to locations when we are home voting family! We have been here atleast 5 times, and they have never disappointed. They do take reservations which is one of the biggest reasons why we come here to eat. Their food is also delicious and there is a variety. I've always loved the egg roll appetizer and their soups. Their pizzas really are fantastic. That wood fire taste is one of my favorites when it comes to flavor. Every time we have dined here the staff has been great including management. They all work well together from getting the food out, to clearing tables. Our food has always been made to perfection. Parking can be tight. Carpool if possible. The building inside is beautiful. It has some of the original bones and beautiful exposed brick. The bathroom is very cozy. read more

We were traveling and looking for a place to stop close to the PA Turnpike. You can't get much closer; The Mill is only about 1/2 mile from the exit. It's a cute little place and the food is good. Also, it's BYOB, which is great ( if you're prepared). They have a really varied menu ( pizza, salads, sandwiches, appetizers, main courses). Our waitress, Hilary, was excellent and really aimed to please. When we come this way again, we will be sure to stop! read more

Worst restaurant experience in my life! Both of our pizzas were bland. But that's not even 1 percent of it.... On a Saturday afternoon we sat on the first floor which I learned after sitting that it's right next to the kitchen. We kept hearing these loud bangs repeatedly which were also heard by from another party near us. It sounded to all of us like they were moving things around and not from cooking. We couldn't take it anymore and told our waitress to please tell the kitchen staff to stop that. Our waitress told the kitchen staff to stop and they did and we didn't hear it again. A few minutes later the manager wearing a black shirt with glasses, tells us he doesn't know what we heard but the kitchen is just cooking. Tells us he doesn't believe we heard anything and that we were likely making it up. Never says sorry or anything, then he walks out 20 feet, I told my companion he could've "at least said sorry for your inconvenience", he apparently heard that, then turned around, walked back to our table aggressively. He said "what was that?" I then said "you're a manager, you should at the very least say sorry for our inconvenience since we are so close to the kitchen", He said "Well I still don't know what you heard or if you heard anything." I said, "It doesn't matter what the circumstances are, I'm a customer, treat me with respect. And if you don't believe that we heard anything, ask the other party 15 feet away if they heard it. That's rude you don't believe us." He then said "It sounds like you're only interested in arguing." I said "Go away please!" He then said, "You will not shut me out" I didn't deserve this. I'm never going back to this restaurant as long as that manager works there. They should also change their format or do something to ensure customers don't hear the kitchen. Maybe don't let customers sit near the kitchen? My companion i was with has bad arthritis, so it wasn't like we had the opportunity to walk upstairs all those steps. read more

Used to have the best pizza in the area with no questions whatsoever. However the last two times it has been really disappointing... I am assuming they changed their pizzaiolo because the dough is not consistent and much of the flavor have been lost. I really hope they improve again because it was the best go to spot in the Harleysville area :( read more

The Mill is the very best! The food is amazing...absolutely love the pizza dough...and the pizzas that are offered as specials are a special treat! One of my favorites is the white peachy pizza. The butternut crab bisque is always a winner, too! My husband is a huge fan of their strombolis...especially the Gobbler one around Thanksgiving...yum! We always save room at the end of the meal for the Classic Dessert Poutines topped with a scoop of vanilla...it's heavenly! I just picked up a pizza from the Mill. It wasn't cooked and the sauce taste like it came right out of a can with no flavoring. I had to come home add seasoning and re-cook the pizza not even sure it's worth eating at this point I guess there's a reason why I haven't been back to the Mill in years. After having their seafood dishes, it was not what I was expecting. I ordered fish & chips and a tuna fish sandwich the other day because I was craving it and seeing how these dishes were, it was below average. First off, how come the wait time takes very long to prepare. I placed my order over the phone and they told me it'll take 30-35 minutes. I wondered why it'll take that long but nevertheless, I was 35 minutes away, so it might be ready by then. Long story short, it was not. I had to wait another 10 minutes for it. After picking up my food, I saw how the fish & chips looked and was very unimpressed. Why was there 2 pieces of fried fish that were very small and had a side of soggy fries? The fish did not have any taste to it, but I guess that's why there was tartar sauce and lemon for it... Why was it $17 for just that? The tuna fish sandwich's presentation looked nice, but they overdid it with the onions. When I tried my first bite of the tuna fish, why was it dry and flavorless? The Mill has a wide variety of unique dishes. All of them seemed very appealing. Couple of friends and I enjoyed lunch there and were very satisfied. So many options. We had Fish and Chips, large portion of three fillets and fresh fries, the chicken pesto sandwich with house chips and I had the Short Rib and Fig grilled cheese with caramelized onions. This sandwich was incredible. The beef was so tender it melted in your mouth, the fig jam added a little sweetness and the cheese was melted through everything. The house chips were fresh and crispy. The ambiance was that of an old mill with rustic walls, hardwood floors and tables. Our server Hilary was prompt and courteous, albeit it was the peak of the lunch crowd. The main dining room is up stairs with the steps winding. I didn't look for an elevator. Prices are moderate the food quality was above average and arrived hot. The pizzas looked incredible and I will have to try it. They have many unique options for the pizza and are cooked in a wood fired oven. Overall a very memorable dining experience. read more

Met my mom here for dinner recently. Depending on when you read this will depend on how recent. The food is really great. For starters we got the crabby poutine fries. They were delicious. Thick cut fries with old bay, liquidy cheese and crab meat. I got the Mill Melt and for $2 extra I made it a wrap. The slapped 1/2 a chicken Breast in that sucker. The BBQ aioli was very different. It created a bbq touch that wasn't thick or overpowering. My mom got the Bickle's Pickle's cheese steak and she loved it. Looked like a lot of food. Both sandwiches came with their hand made potato chips. These were awesome and had a hint of an apple taste to them. Like they were cooked in the same place as apples. It wasn't strong. It was like 4% of the taste. Hardly noticeable but there. We got out of there for only $44. That's hard to do these days. Easier if neither of you drink. Now the reason it isn't 5 stars... The deliver of the food was very confused. Possibly new. They tried delivering everyone's food to the wrong tables. Every time. We had to call to them and let them know it was us. Other tables had to do the same. Maybe the person was new. We got our food way before we got silverware and napkins. Normally the tables are already set but nothing was out here. No salt, pepper, ketchup. Not easy to get a refill on water. Now if you are reading this and it's your restaurant DO NOT assume it's your staff. Ordered takeout from The Mill last night (Wednesday). We got chicken tenders & fries and the Frenchie. I really appreciate that the chicken tender are made in-house. You can definitely tell the difference in comparison to other places in the area that use the frozen ones. It would be great if the chicken tenders had more flavor tho. The Frenchie was delicious! It doesn't need the au jus, but that just added another layer to it. It's creamy & onion-y, but not over the top. My only negatives are: 1- the fries do not stand up well in the takeout containers even when travel time is only 5 minutes. I know fries get soggy in transit, in general, but this is different. They're boardwalk fries so they could stand to be fried an extra minute or 2 and left to cool slightly before tossing in the takeout containers. 2- this issue is likely with toastab (the online ordering site) and not The Mill, but they charge $.50 for ketchup and there was no ketchup in the bag. The Mill has packets of ketchup next to the register for the taking, so the charge seems odd. read more

Really can't speak highly enough of this place. Right off the turnpike. Incredibly cozy. Really attentive, welcoming, and informative staff. And the food... the menu is just chock full of amazing options: truffle fries, poutine, cheese steaks, tots, chicken pot pie, fish tacos. I opted for the beet and goat cheese salad with salmon on top. Honestly the salmon was slightly overdone for my tastes but it was very filling. And the salad was delicious. For an appetizer we had the poutine with Old Bay seasoning and crab on top. My travel buddy got a cheese steak and the bits I had were great. What a fantastic place! Loved the upstairs space (especially all decorated for Halloween). Service super friendly and the prices were very reasonable. BYO is a cinch with a great beer store right down the street. Plain cheese pizza (cooked perfectly and delish), an enormous Greek Salad with nice light dressing and their seasonal item, Zombie Brains which was bowl made from their pizza dough, loaded with sausage, pepperoni, sauce and a couple bone breadsticks too! We ordered the crab poutine, pretzel, and a Philly cheesesteak. It took a while to come out but we enjoyed the crab poutine a lot, wish there was more cheese and crab though. The pretzel was on point! Our Philly cheesesteak took a while to come out, and it was not really worth the wait. I don't like peppers and onion in my cheesesteak so we asked for them on the side. It didn't come out that way. My friend was able to enjoy it but I couldn't with all the vegetables in there. Poutine $16 Pretzel $12 Cheesesteak $19 ($4 extra for tots) The service was good in the beginning, then it got a little bit slow.
