This cheesesteak is pretty good. I try to a lot of places around Lansdale not impressed but this place you cannot go wrong. Even the pizza is good.

A welcome addition to the area. I believe it was pre pandemic when I heard they were opening a Hatfield location. I had never been to Philomena Santucci's other locations, but after checking them out on yelp, I was excited. Pizza joints are usually too similar to set themselves apart and good pizza is hard to find. Philomena Santucci's offers something fun and different and it's well executed. I've probably had about half the menu in the past year and I would definitely call myself a fan at this point. Some of my favorites are their meat lovers pie, the chicken bacon ranch, and the strombolis. I love being able to get a 4-slice "personal" pizza with any of their specialty topping combos that's probably enough for two people to share. The strombolis are huge and we usually make our own. They do not skimp on the toppings! Only things I didn't love here was when I created my own pizza I must've added too many toppings because everything (the toppings) was kinda loose and falling off like it couldn't cook through. Also didn't love the jarred sauce that I bought to have for an at home pasta night, however, the sauce is great on the pizza and to dip the stromboli in. Other than those minor hiccups, no real complaints. Great pizzas, awesome strombolis, plus the apps, pastas, salads, and desserts are all solid too. If you're tired of the same old pizza, give this place a try. My favorite order right now is a personal chicken bacon ranch pizza and a stomboli with ricotta, sausage, pepperoni, and green peppers. Check it out.

Made reservations for 6. Showed up at 5:30 and there were only two full tables. So we asked if we…read morecould be seated early. The hostess said no. I can't seat you until 6. So I'm sitting there for a few and I'm like maybe they misunderstood and they thought I made a res for 6 people not at 6. So I went to clarify with the hostess. She understood and repeated the same thing. So we sat and waited a few more minutes before she had a change of heart and came out to tell us we could be seated now. We didn't leave for probably 45 minutes and not one more person came in. As soon as we sat down the hostess who was also the waitress came over and asked for our order. We of course we weren't ready. We just sat! She seemed frustrated and I was thinking wow this isn't going to be relaxing. The first thing I see on the menu is the sharing up charge. I hate that type of thing. I always like to do family style and share stuff. I want to try every thing if it's a good place. So we got an appetizer which clearly we were going to share. Luckily we did not get the share charge. The bread you get before your meal is so good. Fresh cut garlic and oil drizzled on it. You also get a side salad that was delicious. When they brought the calamari I tried moving the bread closer to me so the waitress(same as the hostess) could put the plate down. She grabbed the bread bowl from me and moved it to the other end of the table. When our actual meals came she couldn't wait to get our plates off the table. We really felt like we were an inconvenience. I thought maybe it was just a cultural thing. Or maybe she's just overworked since she was the hostess and waiting on 3 tables. Brought us boxes before we were finished our food. So we were like ok fine. We will just pack up. We were going to get desert but we decided let's just blow this popsicle stand and get something somewhere else. The food here is excellent. I would get take out again but I probably wouldn't suggest a dine in experience. Which is a shame. I don't even really like writing this critical of a review because I don't know what was going on in her life so maybe it was just the day.

Another double date with our foodie friend's pick…read more And wow what a pick! A beautifully decorated (both outside and inside) quaint restaurant, with a visible pizza oven. We shared a literally beautiful antipasto for an appetizer. It boasted fresh mozzarella balls, eggplant, artichokes, sweet red peppers, prosciutto, and olives. We had a good and soft loaf of bread with a yummy olive oil and balsamic dip too. Our meals were ALL tremendous! We had pasta dishes - gnocchi marsala and fettuccine with clams - EXCELLENT! I had plenty of sauce left to dip the soft bread into :) The other couple had octopus (appetizer) and seafood atop squid ink pappardelle pasta. They loved their dishes as well. Of course we didn't have room for dessert, but our chocolate wine and other wines were definitely sufficient. BYOB's are great and money saving. This place is a bit of a haul but I hope to get back in the future !

They serve a delicious homemade bread that's warm when it's brought the table. In addition, it's accompanied by a dish of olive oil, with balsamic vinegar and what I believed to be a spicy dusting of pepper. It was a little too spicy for me - however, I did like the addition of the balsamic as a change from just olive oil. I would skip the pepper though, unless you like spice. We ordered the Polpette as an appetizer; it's a 'tradition' of mine. If meatballs are on the menu, I will always order them. These lamb, veal and beef meatballs were very good, and the marinara sauce they came in was excellent! The sauce is actually a 'roasted pomodoro' gravy - which is an 'intensified' version of a classic Italian sauce. It's made by roasting the tomatoes at a very high heat and almost caramelizing them. A little feta was added to the sauce, which really highlighted those meatballs!! We split the order - as 5 meatballs is quite a large appetizer! We decided to share two entrees - the Beef Short Ribs and the Lobster Ravioli. I always ask if the short ribs are lean - our server responded they were very lean...and they were. Soft, tender and very flavorful large chunks of beef, with a deliciously rich gravy with mushrooms on a bed a creamy garlic mashed potatoes! It was a superb dish! The website said the Short Ribs were the restaurant's most popular meal. Next, the Lobster Ravioli. The dish was a very 'delicate' one, with a very subtle brandy cream sauce. It had chopped jumbo shrimp and peeled cherry tomatoes with the raviolis. While the sauce tasted fine, it needed 'something' - we added pepper which helped. The raviolis were good - we couldn't taste lobster in the cheese of the raviolis - we assumed it was there. The chopped shrimps though provided a nice additional seafood flavor. I like my raviolis tender - the kind that almost melt in your mouth. The pasta here was firmer - a little more 'al dente', but it was fine. We ended our meal with the Chocolate Mousse. Served in a martini glass, the mousse had a velvety texture with a deep dark chocolate flavor. It was very rich yet light and fluffy; a good choice for dessert!

The one thing I didn't like was that sodas are given to you in a bottle, meaning no free refills. At a place like this, I would have expected them to have fountain soda at a minimum.
