Our quest for the perfect breakfast spot led us to Ralph's, but unfortunately, it didn't quite hit the mark. Ralph's wasn't terrible, but it also wasn't a place we'd rush back to. If you're just looking for a simple, no-frills meal, it'll do - but if you're after something special, you might want to keep searching Ralph's itself was serviceably clean yet not exactly sparkling. The menu was as basic as it gets, with no specials or anything to make the offerings stand out. A blackboard with daily features could have added some much-needed variety. Service was similarly uninspired. The staff was polite but not particularly warm or attentive. Our coffee cups sat empty for far too long, and we sat for quite some time, waiting for refills that never came. Oddly enough, the highlight of the experience wasn't the food but another waitress, who cheerfully sang along with the radio. She seemed to be the only one genuinely enjoying her job, and we couldn't help but wish she had been our server. As for the food? It was edible. Nothing was bad, but not memorable either. I know this sounds stupid, but I could usually tell the quality of a Diner by how good the decaf coffee is before I even put a bite of food in my mouth. The decaf was very good, as a matter of fact it was the best thing I had that morning at breakfast. So my theory failed. Somebody mentioned in an earlier review that Ralph's was no frills. Yep, that's how I would describe it. Nothing above average. My omlet was ok and flat, not fluffy, home fries OK and toast OK. That was it, I was outta there in 30 minutes. read more

Recently had lunch at Ralph's while visiting family in the Lansdale area. My party had an assortment of sandwiches. Been going here for years but still haven't dined in, which is probably why I've never reviewed. That being said, I have two go-to's at Ralph's Corner Diner that I order take-out on a regular basis. For breakfast, I create my own omelette with 6 ingredients and they never have an issue making it. Comes with some hash browns and toast. The meal hits the spot every time. My wife gets the western omelette meal. Both of us are always happy customers. My lunch order is always one of their chicken wraps. Usually I go with the southwestern, but lately I've been adding some extra ingredients like avocado and red onion. It's delicious, but watch out for all the fresh jalapeños in there, they can really heat things up. Wraps are big and come with some good coleslaw, potato chips, and a pickle spear. A solid lunch meal. Turn-around on takeout orders is really quick, rarely more than 10-15 mins. Had one bad experience where the girl on the phone forgot to enter my order on the computer and I had to wait 15 minutes until they realized and another 10 until they got the food out. They were pretty apologetic. Other than that they're good. The place is tiny and there almost always a small wait. People love it here. The staff has always been friendly. Prices are fair. My mom and I were at Ralph's corner deli about two months ago about an hour before they closed,and were pleasantly surprised with our experience. Unlike some other Diner's, Ralph's Diner greets you with a smile, their service is quick, the servers constantly check to make sure all is okay and if they can do anything for us, and the food was delicious for a very reasonable price In addition, the decor and colors is calming and peaceful, and the music they play is not overwhelming. Stopped in for a quick breakfast in the middle of the weekend breakfast rush. I was lucky enough to get a table without a wait. Server was moving fast but stopped and greeted me anyway. She came back fairly fast and took my order. My food came out so quickly I didn't have a chance to really sip my beverage. The most beautiful, crisp, hot waffle came out with a crisp and ample side of bacon. The meal was absolutely perfect. The service was quick and friendly. I forgot to add an adorable couple saw me dining alone started a sweet conversation with me. So not only is the food good, service great, but the customers are very friendly. This is the first breakfast place in Lansdale that I have visited in recent months that was absolutely jammed on Sunday morning. There was a long waiting list with people outside on a rain soaked day for a chance to enjoy a substantial repast. My time standing by the door reading the menu was about 20 minutes. Not bad; besides I was curious about Ralph's wild popularity. There were a majority of seniors here in couplets, triplets and quartets. Everyone seemed to know each other, like they all came from a church bingo group. It was obvious they all knew something about this joint that I was about to find out. I sat at a small deuce in the middle of the dining room. Coffee arrived promptly, as did my request for their Country Omelette (sausage, onion, green pepper, tomato, plus feta add in), with crisp hash browns and rye toast. It was a very good three egger; still moist within. Java was hot and bracing, not to mention refilled three times. The whole house seemed in a convivial mood as I observed the happy faces and listened to the din of conversation. When I received the check I realized the why of this full house. The omelette was only $8.95, plus a buck for the feta cheese. Bottomless mug a joe, $2.50. I had been paying a few dollars more for similar breakfasts all over town. Here, I was walking away with an excellent meal plus tip, for what just the food cost everywhere else. For seniors on a social security budget, this was cause for celebration. An easy 20% discount. I guess I'll start with the food. I consider myself a dinner expert and I go into any place with high expectations. Ralph's corner met them. Our waitress Mayar was phenomenal. She was always checking up on us to make sure we were good and didn't need anything. The food came out faster then you could blink(no lie 5mins) and it was amazing .I recommend chocolate chip pancakes. The only negatives was the seating was a bite tight. I will never go here again. I took my two young sons for breakfast for the first time. I had ordered them the fruit waffle. Luckily I was breaking it up into small pieces for them to eat, because I came across a piece of metal. I am assuming it was from a wire brush. Thankfully I discovered it before it ended up in one of their mouths. They did take the waffle off the bill and the manager did causally walk over, while drinking his coffee, to apologize. The waitress was much more apologetic than the manager. I think they should have made a much bigger deal of this, considering this could have caused some serious issues if the metal piece had been swallowed. read more

Just went here with my almost 2 year old son because a couple neighbors insisted I take him when they invited us out. I knew it was going to be a bad idea because he's a toddler and he's at that frustrating stage. Of course it went terrible and he started getting upset and I was so embarrassed but there was a staff member (Rhonda) that REALLY showed compassion and went out of her way to try and make things easier on my son and me. I did end up ordering to go so nobody would have to deal with hearing a screaming and crying toddler. I took him outside so it wouldn't be annoying for the other guests. When you visit a diner sometimes you get a friendly server or sometimes you get a server who is having a tough day, but Ralph's is special in that everyone I've met working there has been consistently warm and friendly. This tells me that the work culture there is a good one. On top of that, the food is tasty and the prices more than reasonable. I just left without tipping. Ate a big meal for the first time in a while because I have been sick or dieting. I have lost 50 lbs this year. Was asked while paying If I enjoyed my food I said yes did not realize how hungry I was. She said thats great since you are pregnant. I said no I'm not pregnant, just in the process of losing a lot of weight. She INSISTED I was pregnant. I again told her , no I'm just full.
