Stopped in for a quick breakfast in the middle of the weekend breakfast rush. I was lucky enough to get a table without a wait. Server was moving fast but stopped and greeted me anyway. She came back fairly fast and took my order. My food came out so quickly I didn't have a chance to really sip my beverage. The most beautiful, crisp, hot waffle came out with a crisp and ample side of bacon. The meal was absolutely perfect. The service was quick and friendly. I forgot to add an adorable couple saw me dining alone started a sweet conversation with me. So not only is the food good, service great, but the customers are very friendly. Win, win, win.

This is the first breakfast place in Lansdale that I have visited in recent months that was absolutely jammed on Sunday morning. There was a long waiting list with people outside on a rain soaked day for a chance to enjoy a substantial repast. My time standing by the door reading the menu was about 20 minutes. Not bad; besides I was curious about Ralph's wild popularity. There were a majority of seniors here in couplets, triplets and quartets. Everyone seemed to know each other, like they all came from a church bingo group. It was obvious they all knew something about this joint that I was about to find out. I sat at a small deuce in the middle of the dining room. Coffee arrived promptly, as did my request for their Country Omelette (sausage, onion, green pepper, tomato, plus feta add in), with crisp hash browns and rye toast. It was a very good three egger; still moist within. Java was hot and bracing, not to mention refilled three times. The whole house seemed in a convivial mood as I observed the happy faces and listened to the din of conversation. When I received the check I realized the why of this full house. The omelette was only $8.95, plus a buck for the feta cheese. Bottomless mug a joe, $2.50. I had been paying a few dollars more for similar breakfasts all over town. Here, I was walking away with an excellent meal plus tip, for what just the food cost everywhere else. For seniors on a social security budget, this was cause for celebration. An easy 20% discount. Word gets around where the best deals are. Ralph's was in the sweet spot and they were taking advantage. Judging by the continuous rush, they knew exactly what they were doing.

Service is really fast. All the servers are very polite and feel welcoming. We had to wait about 15 minutes to get a table, but nothing more than that. The food is enjoyable diner food. The atmosphere is really cozy and nice. This place is buzzing on a Sunday morning! We will be back!

I guess I'll start with the food. I consider myself a dinner expert and I go into any place with high expectations. Ralph's corner met them. Our waitress Mayar was phenomenal. She was always checking up on us to make sure we were good and didn't need anything. The food came out faster then you could blink(no lie 5mins) and it was amazing .I recommend chocolate chip pancakes. The only negatives was the seating was a bite tight. Also there our only 2 single bathrooms. But hey you can't be perfect. Already making plans to go back.

    - gotta agree with GREAT PANCAKES ( we got the choc chip pancakes, very moist and just right). - doc off 2 stars for plain Western skillet. The ham bit vs green pepper and onion ratio is 1:100. Its under seasoned and lack of flavor, tiny bit of ham.

Good food and good service. A great local spot. Prices are reasonable. Noisy, but not too loud.

In my opinion, they have the best happy hour in the area. It's every day from 5-7 PM, which is a refreshing change from the typical Monday-Friday happy hours that end at 6. We usually sit at the bar, and the bartenders are always friendly, attentive, and make you feel welcome. The happy hour food and drink specials are a fantastic value. It's easy to enjoy a great evening out for under $50, which is becoming harder to find these days. The crowd is usually friendly too, making it a fun place to relax and socialize. As for the food, I honestly can't remember having a bad meal here. Everything we've ordered has been flavorful, satisfying, and generously portioned. Unlike many restaurants today, you don't leave feeling like you paid inflated prices for tiny portions. If you're looking for a place with great food, excellent service, an outstanding happy hour, and a welcoming atmosphere, the Metropolitan Diner is definitely worth a visit. It's become one of our favorite local spots, and we'll be back many more times.

We didn't stay, I felt that was rude and dismissive. My wife and I did come back today because they open at 10am on Sundays. The food was absolutely horrible. We ordered the eggroll sampler and fried pickles as an app. The eggrolls were tasteless, and the fried pickles were so greasy we couldn't eat them. Then on to the entrees, I ordered the brunch burger and my wife the French toast with bacon. French toast is what it is...not much you can do (and I still question my wife about ordering it). The burger, flavorless and overcooked. To make this experience better, the bacon for my wife's side and on my burger...completely raw. The food took a long time to come out, so no excuses. The service was good and I don't blame them for this. But far too many missteps. This is not just a mistake on one item...this is a restaurant that's lost its way.

My wife and I went for breakfast and I will say it was worth my rating, a 3. I was expecting to give this long time diner in Sellersville, PA a higher rating but I cannot. Royann diner building structure is from another time. Service was adequate. Coffee was average. We did get a refill. It is incredible what changing cooks can do to a business. Especially if they are not good. I will tell you the parking lot is frequently full with plenty of diners. There must be a good thing many still go to Royann Diner. It is my utmost hope they re-evaluate and become the best diner in the area again.

It had a banquet side, suitable for weddings, birthday parties, and showers, and was nicely manicured. It was dinner time, and it was just starting to get a little busy, but not so much when we walked in; hardly anybody was there. We were seated and given menu"s, which has the standard fare for a diner, so I got the fish and chips and a side of macaroni and cheese. My meal came with soup, French Onion, and my friend had a salad, Chicken Parm and a side of pasta. The fish was delicious and it came with malt vinegar and tartar sauce. The tartar sauce was a little bland as was the soup. The fish and mac & cheese very good. I would order that again, I thoroughly enjoyed it. My friend enjoyed the chicken Parm and said it was very good. My only complaint was the was the tartar sauce and the soup. The service was excellent! Kid friendly, cash or card and the entire restaurant was immaculate and that goes for the bathrooms too. Very nice enjoyable low-key dinner. I thought a little pricey, but what do you expect with everything being so expensive these days?
