Simply Delicious!! Looked up a restaurant in the area on a whim this morning and found this gem. They serve Mexican and American breakfast staples. The Huevos al a Mexicano were delicious. The eggs were scrambled with chorizo, tomatoes, peppers and onions. We also had a side of French toast that was extremely flavorful and didn't even need syrup. The service is prompt, friendly and courteous. We will definitely return. read more

Five Stars Diner on Lincoln Avenue, Hatfield, is a Mexican-American owned in-town restaurant with six booths and five tables in their smallish dining room. Their menu is a broad cross section of both traditional American and Mexican breakfast and lunch. I grabbed the last booth in the back corner, ordering coffee, scrambled eggs mixed with sausage, bacon, home fries, onion and pepper, with rye toast on the edge of the plate. I was pleased that I was allowed to order from the weekday morning menu even though I was there Saturday morning. After a generous splash of hot sauce I was ready to go. Very good taste/texture with all ingredients participating. Crunchy rye toast brought up the back end. Java was refilled twice to keep me properly caffeinated. Smart friendly service was provided by two bilingual college aged women who easily engaged with all the customers in the language of their choice. This was my first visit to Hatfield. It appeared to be a nice, cozy, historic community. It is certainly worth further exploration with Five Stars as the base of operations. read more

Chose the diner during a "breakfast near me" search. Pleasantly surprised! Fantastic food and Mexican Food offerings were very welcomed! The food was decent but the service was laughably bad. I was going out to dinner with my wife and sons and was hoping for avocado toast or something similar. The California Benedict seemed to fit the bill. We arrived a little after 10 and ordered within 5 minutes. Drinks were served promptly and we waited. After about 25 minutes our server came by saying they had no English muffins. I asked to put it on toast instead. Another 15 minutes later she came back saying they could only do omelettes. Wait what? I asked her to give me a minute and we contemplated leaving. My wife asked if she could just replace the egg Benedict for two over easy which they could apparently do. Somehow my order came out first about 10 minutes without toast, which followed 5 minuets later. Each order then followed with 10-15 minutes between each one. All told it took us 80-90 minutes for an omlette, and order of pancakes, a side of bacon and eggs over easy with avocado toast and homefries. Again food was fine but do not come here if you have any timeframe. read more

Absolutely amazing find! Was in town picking up chairs from a place up the street and yelped diner. Place popped up so I decided to check it out. They are next door to a Mexican grocery store. Walked in and the place was empty except for the waitress and cook. Sat down looked at menu which was basic American diner food. Then flipped menu over and saw all the Mexican items! Seemed like a better option as they are next to a Mexican grocery. Literally one of the best breakfasts I've had since I lived in LA! Asada plate and I added 2 eggs over easy. Absolutely delicious! Graduated culinary school in 2005 and been in the industry since then. Foodie to say the least... place is fire!! read more

We had breakfast but they have a lunch menu too. There are Mexican dishes as well. The pancakes and omelets were good. Service was good too. Negatives are covid related: small space, no social distancing between booths, and no barriers between booths like many restaurants are doing now (like plexiglass). Credit cards accepted. read more

I had ordered takeout from here and even got confirmation of when it would be ready. Got to the restaurant and everything looked closed/doors were locked. Tried to call and nobody answered. I'll be calling tomorrow to ask for a refund. read more

Came here for breakfast after picking up an auction item from Aldefer's Auction based on Yelp recommendations, and that was a fabulous decision. I ordered the huevos rancheros with tortillas, and they were fabulous. The salsa was homemade and fresh (a little spicy for my palate though). The eggs were perfectly sunny side up, and the beans and rice accompanying it were delicious. My companions also enjoyed their food. One ordered the breakfast burrito on special, and she really enjoyed it. The other ordered a mushroom, tomato, onion, and feta omelette, and he particularly enjoyed how crispy the potatoes came out. Read Google Reviews before going and was thoroughly disappointed with our visit. Cash only restaurant, ATM available onsite. Time of visit: 11:30 AM on a Saturday and the place was not crowded. Food: We ordered a bacon cheeseburger, a mushroom burger, and mozzarella sticks. The bacon cheeseburger and mozzarella sticks were brought to the table and at first, we picked at the mozzarella sticks waiting for the other order when my boyfriend (who waits tables as his part-time job) said to not wait for his food and to start eating. Burger and mozzarella sticks weren't anything grand but weren't the worst either. Service: We waited 15-20 minutes and his food never arrived. It was at this point that we flagged the server and asked for the check. She apologized (without us saying anything about his food) and went over to the register and started talking in another language about our order. We sat there another 3-5 minutes with no check so we finally got up and went to the register and asked to pay. Another apology was given and we finally got to pay and get out of there. We were so disgusted with the service we left half of the food that we did receive and didn't ask for a box to go. By far the worst service I've had anywhere in the last 10-15 years. Overall: Food - Ok (nothing to brag about) Service - Absolutely terrible We will not be going back and we will not recommend people to dine here. read more

Food was not bad. The young lady who waited on us was very nice. However-we were the only ones in there and waited so long for our food that we ended up being there over one hour. Our order- hamburger, tuna club, children's chicken fingers. The person who came in 20 minutes later food came up before ours. While we were there the staff brought their food from the back and ate. Been there twice now and this place is fantastic. The people that work here are so nice and the one girl has the most adorable baby, everyone is so personable and the food is absolutely wonderful. My wife and I normally go to El Limon for Mexican food and have never found anywhere that could compete...until now. The stuffed french toast is our absolute favorite for breakfast but the omelettes are incredible and for dinner their burritos are amazing. Both times we've been there we've also had conversations with the other patrons which I think adds a really nice quality to the restaurant. read more

Stopped in here today for the first time. Truly a hidden wonder! The staff was amazing, our waitress Ashley was so kind and personable. She really made us feel welcome. Drinks and refills were always quick, and our order was out in less than ten minutes. I got the meat lovers omelette and my boyfriend got the Spanish omelette. Both were huge and so delicious. My wife and I ordered a couple omelettes from them today for delivery. Their delivery was fairly long and the food was not worth the wait. The omelettes were ok, at best, and could have been much better. I asked for Pork Roll with it and they were out (during breakfast time). I also asked for bacon, which was over cooked. I would recommend a few places over them for breakfast. One, especially, would be Valentino's Italian Bistro in Lansdale, Pa. read more

Have tried to eat here a couple of times, as we really liked Habeneros. First time closed for the holidays. Tonight called to be sure they were open, after digging up the right number (yelp, google, urbanspoon, foursquare all had the wrong one). Said we were checking because of the previous time. The lady confirmed they were, and when we got there 20 min later, the door was locked. Called from the sidewalk and they came out and said they closed early because they were slow... A real find. Small family diner. You can tell that because there are well behaved and adorable kids hanging out behind the counter. And a precious new baby with her precious older sister took up the booth in the back. I had the best enchiladas ever and believe me I know my enchiladas. Green sauce was a little hot just the way I like it. My daughters burrito was stuffed with delicious marinated pork and beans. Try it. You won't be disappointed. Bring cash because they don't take credit cards but they do have an ATM. This is the "real deal". read more

I had a breakfast burrito. it was awesome! eggs, sausage, peppers, onions, cheddar cheese, tomato salsa. Husband had scrambled eggs and potatoes with toast. Everything was perfectly done.
