Chicharron, empanadas, happy customers

Amazing food. So sad we didn't find this gem sooner as we are moving at the end of the month Favorites are the Shrimp Mofungo with Salsa, chicharron, empanadas, and potato balls! Service is fast and friendly. We plan on eating here a few more times before we leave

Wasn't sure of what I wanted for lunch , but hadn't planned on Spanish. Walked by this pace and it was quite busy. You give your order at the counter. There's pork options, beef and chicken. The plate was pretty full of food and favor. The beef was tender, but not fatty. I will definitely be back the next time I'm in town

Stewed Pork, stewed beef, white rice, fried bananas, and fried cheese.

I love this place! The food is amazing and authentic. The atmosphere is relaxed and friendly. I will come back and back and back for more.

I like this place so much I visit a few times a week. Great prices and service. The best and most authentic Dominican restaurant I've found in the burbs. Favorites: Bistec Encebollado, Perníl, Rabo, Chicharron, Baked Chicken.

Pork chunks , baked chicken and rice and beans !!! Awesome !!!

Just got done eating takeout from here and all I can say is wow .. So happy that this place exists and sad that it took me too long to stumble upon it. Ordered the baked chicken and rice and beans as well as the fried pork chunks (wow). The chicken was cooked perfectly, moist and tender . Lots of flavor from whatever kind of dry rub they use . Skin is packed with flavor . The pork chunks and such a guilty pleasure. Tender, juicy and and the skin is crispy and balances the dish out . Also a must is to dip the chunks into the hot sauce to cut the fat level .. Awesome lol... Will def be back soon as possible .. If u like to eat home cooked food and don't care about fancy decor than this is a home run !!!

The bar style counter top was good place to sit and eat.

Great Dominican food. Very flavorful but not spicy like Mexican food. A must keep for the neighborhood. Try it.

My son and I were looking for a local pub where we could enjoy a decent sandwich and an adult…read morebeverage. We happened upon Stove and Tap, and are very pleased that we did! We both found beverages and food that suited our preferences (it should be noted that the menu offers a variety of options). My son declared that his burger was one of the best he has ever had! He said it was perfectly cooked and required no additional condiments to be added. I enjoyed my turkey club, but I think a more accurate name would be " Turkey Blt with Avocado on Ciabatta" because that is what the sandwich is. Regardless, I would order it again. The service was friendly and attetive without being overly so. The atmosphere of the place is relaxed and inviting. We will be back!

Good service, nice spot, food is very hit or miss…read more There is a ton of parking behind the restaurant so that was nice and easy. Service was friendly and attentive all night. We ordered the pork belly bao buns for an app. The pork was painfully dry and the buns themselves were also dry and brittle. We do not recommend at all. I got the mussels in white wine broth with pasta. The broth was bland and mussels weren't to die for, but overall I enjoyed and the portion size was truly insane. My husband got the shepards pie and it was the best shepards pie either of us have ever had. Would be open to trying again but hope the food quality is more consistent next time.

Round House is a wonderful local spot with great drinks and service!…read more Service and ambiance are great, we especially love the outdoor patio seating, including the heaters and string lights. The dedicated parking lot is also a huge plus for busy weekend nights! So far I've only had the Pony Club cocktail, which was absolutely fantastic! Hubs has also enjoyed all of the beers he's tried to date. Food is good, but nothing special. The fries are super tasty and they actually make a mean grilled cheese (on the lunch menu). Nothing has been out of this world and there have been small inconsistencies with the menu, but it does the job and the drinks are what matter!

Decent location. Decent beers. Decent food…read more They were short staffed the evening we went in, but that didn't stop them from being very helpful! I went with a flight, and was about 50/50 on the four. The IPAs were good - I had the version 2 and a hazy. They weren't overly hoppy but very "crushable". I also got the watermelon seltzer, but I'm not sure that's what was poured, as I tasted neither watermelon or the effervescence that comes with seltzer. Wasn't a fan of the Buddha stout, it just seemed to fall short on the body. The pierogis were really good - highly recommend them to accompany your beer!

In my opinion, they have the best happy hour in the area. It's every day from 5-7 PM, which is a refreshing change from the typical Monday-Friday happy hours that end at 6. We usually sit at the bar, and the bartenders are always friendly, attentive, and make you feel welcome. The happy hour food and drink specials are a fantastic value. It's easy to enjoy a great evening out for under $50, which is becoming harder to find these days. The crowd is usually friendly too, making it a fun place to relax and socialize. As for the food, I honestly can't remember having a bad meal here. Everything we've ordered has been flavorful, satisfying, and generously portioned. Unlike many restaurants today, you don't leave feeling like you paid inflated prices for tiny portions. If you're looking for a place with great food, excellent service, an outstanding happy hour, and a welcoming atmosphere, the Metropolitan Diner is definitely worth a visit. It's become one of our favorite local spots, and we'll be back many more times.

We didn't stay, I felt that was rude and dismissive. My wife and I did come back today because they open at 10am on Sundays. The food was absolutely horrible. We ordered the eggroll sampler and fried pickles as an app. The eggrolls were tasteless, and the fried pickles were so greasy we couldn't eat them. Then on to the entrees, I ordered the brunch burger and my wife the French toast with bacon. French toast is what it is...not much you can do (and I still question my wife about ordering it). The burger, flavorless and overcooked. To make this experience better, the bacon for my wife's side and on my burger...completely raw. The food took a long time to come out, so no excuses. The service was good and I don't blame them for this. But far too many missteps. This is not just a mistake on one item...this is a restaurant that's lost its way.
