    Ahi Tuna Tacos. Too spicy!
    Donald P.

We very much enjoy Tex Mex Connection generally. But today was a disappointment. The Ahi Tuna Tacos were WAY too spicy and flavorless apart from the spice, while the Scallops were breaded and flavorless. The Margaritas were good, however. Service was efficient, and atmosphere OK.

Consistently average, at best. If I had to rate them on happy hour alone, the score would be higher. They have the best chips and salsa and margaritas in the area. Definitely opt for individual margaritas rather than the pitcher because you get more ice in a pitcher than actual margarita. Our dinner was underwhelming. Server was generally inattentive - more interested talking to his coworkers than refilling our waters or checking in with us. The food was served hot, but somehow, the shredded cheese in the enchiladas was unmelted while the corn tortilla was overcooked. You could tell it was shredded cheese from a bag, too. The redeeming quality was the mole sauce - delicious. I usually get the portobello fajitas, and I probably should have stuck to that, but something was telling me to switch it up. Because some of the food items are great while others fall short, I believe there is much room for improvement.

Great spot. Good food, great drinks, & exceptional service. Would absolutely return some other time when in the area.

Tex mex just really droopy the ball this last time. The service was subpar, the napkins were not as clean as they should have been, and the food was mediocre at best (my soup was barely warm to top it off). Overall I'm sad to say that this wasn't the best experience/dinner.

We were recommended by some that this restaurant was something to check out. It was something alright. We ordered: Chicken and Beef Fajitas, Cod Baja Tacos, Pulled Pork Enchilada, Short Rib, Strawberry and Watermelon Margaritas, and for desert Apple Chimichanga. We felt that all the meals needed a kick, some sort of spice, almost felt bland. I mean they weren't horrible but they were just average. Didn't wow us. The waiter was attentive however, and the atmosphere was nice. Also finding parking is a pain. It is very tight.

Told me they didn't have any openings until 8... but I could book online for 7:30 at that very moment

Turned me away because I was wearing a sleeveless shirt. Meanwhile I walked past tons of people in flip flops, swim trunks various other "summer clothes" yet my shirt without sleeves was too far. Mind you I'm wearing close toed shoes and full length pants. But they needed to turn me away. I guess unless you look like a Florida fisherman then you're under dressed

Margs are what they are known for. And there is a 3 margarita limit cuz they're STRONG. I just learned from a friend tonight that you can take a jug of the margarita mix to go for about $16. Just add tequila. Cheers!

Everything was flavorful and thoughtfully prepared, and the crispy potatoes were absolutely to die for. While my swordfish came out slightly cold and a tad bland, the quality and taste of the rest of the meal more than made up for it. The service was strong, especially considering how busy New Year's Eve can be. We were taken great care of by who I believe was the manager for the evening, which made the experience feel especially welcoming and well managed. Our server seemed extremely busy, and while we wish he could have been a bit more accommodating, it was clear he was juggling a lot and still handled everything wonderfully. My family comes to Tressini very often and we always look forward to dining here. it's a place we truly enjoy and trust for a great meal. The only things we'd love to see improved are a bit more variety on the menu and more dessert options, as there was a heavy focus on gelato. Overall, another lovely experience, and we'll definitely be back again soon. It was definitely packed for the holiday, but it was not crazy loud to the point where you can't hear yourself so no complaints on the ambiance.

The salad was a bit underwhelming and we wished there was more salmon sashimi in it, but the dressing was good and it was a nice and light dish to start with. The Pork Regular Combo was plenty for us, and had a good variety of pork belly, jowl, and spicy bull-dwaeji to try. We ended with a really tasty marinated galbi. Our meal also included steamed egg, corn cheese, and doenjang and kimchi jjigaes, which did not fall short, either. Our waiters were extremely attentive and accommodating! Our original reservation was scheduled for 8:30 PM and our plans changed, so we wanted to come in earlier. The staff did their very best on a packed night and were able to get us in at 7:30 PM and made sure to call us to let us know. We had a waiter grilling at all times, so our food was ready quickly. SALT is tucked in a plaza with plenty of parking on a busy night. The restaurant itself was cozy, but one thing we did notice was how quickly we ran out of space at our table. We felt a bit rushed to clear things out, but otherwise, a really great experience!

It was 100 degrees out, so we had no interest in that. While I was parking, my friend attempted to get us a table. The hostess said she had a high top available in the bar. My friend said that was fine. A few minutes later, I came inside and my friend was still waiting to be sat. Multiple customers came in after us and were seated immediately. My friend had to ask the hostess if she was going to seat us! She said yes and then proceeded to seat other people. Unreal. Then another guy came out and asked us if we were being helped and we told him what happened. Then the hostess showed back up, he said something to her, and then she finally took us to the table. Listen, I was a server for many years. I get the ins and outs of a restaurant. All you have to do is communicate with the customers. If she was waiting for the table to be cleaned off, or if there was some other reason for the delay, then just have the courtesy to tell us and not ignore us. Anyway... Once we were seated, our waitress greeted us relatively quickly. We ordered the blueberry cornbread, the turkey blt and the falafel wrap (we shared all 3). All the food was delivered in a timely manner, and the presentation was nice. Out of everything, the cornbread was the best. My friend loved all of the items, but I did not. Falafel wrap was ordinary. Nothing special at all. The fries were crisp and tasty. And ceasar salad was ok (we got a side salad in place of the fries for one of the meals). The BLT had so much potential, if it weren't for the bacon. Let's just say it didn't taste like bacon. I don't want to be too gross, but it honestly tasted the way that a barn or zoo smells. It had this dirty, nasty flavor to it that totally turned me off and made me lose my appetite. The cornbread was amazing, but everything else was lackluster. I posted some pics, so be sure to take a look. Oh, and before we were finished eating, some guy came and attempted to take our plates from us without asking if we were finished! It was weird. The place itself is cute, but very small and cramped. I felt a little claustrophobic in the bathroom. It was super easy to pay the bill, as they provide a QR code and take Apple Pay. Would I go back? Heck no.

Most familiar places were closed, it being Monday so we took to Google to see what our options were. We just wanted burgers. Nothing fancy. We got seated right away and got to peruse the menu. Simple and to.the point. More than reasonable prices for how excellent the food is. Nothing over $20 on the menu. Seriously. I got the maple bbq burger. Now, the only note I have is the bacon could've been crispier. Other than that, it was juicy, full of flavor, cooked perfectly and all elements worked in harmony. The bbq sauce wasn't too sweet or ketchup-y like some and the maple bacon was YUM. My mom got the cheese burger with cooper sharp and it was heavenly. The tomatoes were just bursting with flavor. The decor is geared towards music. We had an old pic of Sonny & Cher with Bob Dylan. It was hard to look at given how changed Cher is from her um... enhancements. The ceiling is covered with old concert.posters & it was a hoot picking all of the ones I LURVE out (old Bowie poster.from the 70s to start). I had never been so I was excited to try it out and even happier than I discovered there was no wait around 7:00 pm. We started with cocktails and the crab Rangoon rolls, which arrived super fast and hot. They were crispy little egg rolls filled with a savory, rather than your typical sweet, Rangoon filling. For our entrees my friend and his daughter got burgers while I did the short rib melt. The bacon smash burger that my friend got was so good! I love a bacon jam and this one paired so well with the flavors in this burger. The short rib melt was good and the waffle fries were crispy. The only thing that was a little off was the service. Our server was HUSTLING. She was not only taking care of us, she was bartending at the bar, which was far from our table. At one point I noticed she was carrying a huge rack of drinking glasses from the kitchen and putting them all away in the bar. The restaurant wasn't super busy, but we waited a good 35 minutes for the check. Our server though seemed to be working really hard and was busy the whole time we saw her in the dining area. She was VERY sweet though. I would definitely come back.
