Our party of 4 ordered the salmon sashimi salad, the Pork Regular Combo, daechang, and marinated galbi. The salad was a bit underwhelming and we wished there was more salmon sashimi in it, but the dressing was good and it was a nice and light dish to start with. The Pork Regular Combo was plenty for us, and had a good variety of pork belly, jowl, and spicy bull-dwaeji to try. We ended with a really tasty marinated galbi. Our meal also included steamed egg, corn cheese, and doenjang and kimchi jjigaes, which did not fall short, either. Our waiters were extremely attentive and accommodating! Our original reservation was scheduled for 8:30 PM and our plans changed, so we wanted to come in earlier. The staff did their very best on a packed night and were able to get us in at 7:30 PM and made sure to call us to let us know. We had a waiter grilling at all times, so our food was ready quickly. SALT is tucked in a plaza with plenty of parking on a busy night. The restaurant itself was cozy, but one thing we did notice was how quickly we ran out of space at our table. Had a wonderful experience! I visited for the first time with friends and we tried the Salt Superior combo. The menu says it feeds 3-4 people--we were a group of four, and it was plenty. We were all full and still had leftovers. Our server handled all the grilling for us, and the food turned out great. This is one of the nicer Korean bbq I have been to. The restaurant is in a convenient location with plenty of parking. The interior is very clean, looks new, very spacious, and looks like a fancy restaurant. Service is fantastic very fast, accommodating, and friendly. I do find it a little funny that the waiters wear LED name tags. The food is very fresh, cooked very well, very tasty and delicious. I love the addition of the different kinds of salt they give it out. It almost my go to over the sauces. My Absolutely favorite cut of meat was the pork belly. I would say the Wagyu was a little chewier this time. The other meats were actually more tender like the kalbi and sirloin. We ordered everything marinated and non spicy since we had kids. The pork belly was still cut too thick for my taste. The service was a little slower this time in getting our order, but everything else was fine. All side dishes and lettuce are unlimited. They can keep refilling. We got cheese corn in the house again. They were able to seat our party of 10 with no reservation within 5 mins. We came on a rainy Sunday around 5 PM. I had to try Salt after hearing so many good things about it, and I must say it didn't disappoint. I took my family here for a holiday dinner, and we got the pork belly, steak, and galbi for KBBQ, as well as the galbi mandu. It was the perfect amount of food for the four of us. The meat quality was amazing, and it was great with just the different salts sprinkled on top. The sesame oil salt was my favorite, but my dad really liked the Himalayan salt. The fermented bean sauce was also very good; we had to get two more bowls of it! The dessert is also a must--my sister devoured the fried cinnamon sugar doughnut things. Started with the Cheese Fried Chicken and Salmon Sashimi Salad. The fried chicken was really great and aesthetically pleasing presentation. I loved the fried sweet potato garnish. The salad was also really refreshing and delicious with slices of pear and lemon to compliment the salmon sashimi. Decent portion of salmon sashimi. The Galbi Soondubu was a little disappointing. A lot of steamed egg at the bottom of the bowl and I would've preferred more of the galbi instead. Overall we had a really nice lunch. TAKE OUT REVIEW: We decided to choose korean for dinner and ended up with Salt since they had a lot of entrees and not just meats. We got 2 beef bibimbaps, seafood pancake, spicy cold noodles and the seafood tofu soup. The seafood pancake was pretty solid and had a nice crunch although I wish they provided the sauce. For the bibimbaps, there was a lot of meat which was great however the portion itself seemed a bit small. The cold noodles were just as good and had a sweet tang to it. I'm always on the hunt for better and more Korean food options in the PA and NJ area so when I heard about this new spot I had to make the 1 hour hike there from South Jersey Ample seating and lots of bbq tables. We started with a mojito, spicy rice cakes and some side dishes. The mojito was way too much sour mix but cute presentation. The spicy rice cakes were actually spicy and the rice cakes had a great texture! 6.75/10 The side dishes were OK, the kimchi was awful. It was way too ripe and way too sour for my taste but I dug the kimchi radish Then we got the galbi and prime rib. The galbi was way better. SO tender but the quantity was ehhh but I get it it's good quality. If you're debating what meats you should get probably just stick with the galbi and then pork belly if you must. The soybean paste soup was good! I would have wanted a slightly deeper flavor but not terribile and ample seafood. The naengmyun was great! WAy too much ice though but noodles and broth were decent Overall, I had a good experience but it wasn't like the ones in Korea and Fort Lee. Best Kbbq in the area!!! We moved from LA last year and we have been missing our Kbbq... and this has been the best that we have had since moving. We drive 30-40 minutes to come here and it is worth it!! I recommend making a reservation, especially on the weekend. They have an amazing banchan spread, and they usually have complimentary bites of pancake. The quality of the meats is amazing. We usually get the prime rib (which is great!) and the wagyu (which is more fatty and melts in your mouth). Along with the meat, they serve steamed egg, cheese on corn, rice, and large leaves. They also have four different kinds of salt that you can try. We always leave feeling super fun and super satisfied. We love this place! read more

Came here with a group of 12 and it was great! This was our first time here and definitely not our last! We ordered a lot of food but our favorite was the Marinated galbi and the pork. The sides were also really tasty we enjoyed the kimchi radish and salad. We also enjoyed the soups, the kimchi soup was spicy and the soy bean soup was very tasty. Restaurant has a very cool Korean bbq vibe to it with tvs and Kpop playing in the background. Very clean and spacious with many tables for seating. For food, ordered the seafood pancake, galbi soondubu, prime rib, galbi and pork for the bbq part. Seafood pancake was to die for, that was so crispy and delicious. Soondubu I was honestly disappointed in, I felt like it was lacking flavor and the galbi in the soup I wasn't a fan of...I've had better. And for the bbq portion, everything we ordered was amazing. Side dishes included: corn, steamed egg We also ordered the seafood scallion pancake as an appetizer, and it had a really warm and comforting taste to it, full of umami. The highlight of the night was the bbq itself. I ordered a marinated galbi, seeing as it was one of the more popular ones, I felt obligated to give it a try. After he was done with my brother's order, he started cooking the galbi on a small circular grill, very attentive. When it was ready, it was perfectly cooked. Very soft and tender, and well seasoned. Overall, would recommend on a night out or on special occasions. The prices here are pretty high, as it is a high end restaurant. However, if you are in town and you don't want to spend upwards of $50 on a dish, they have cheaper options too, only ~ $17 for bibimbap. This is the K-BBQ restaurant that all my friends in the area always recommend! It's a little further out for us, but when we want K-BBQ, Salt is the place we usually consider first. It's the perfect setting blend between traditional and modern BBQ styles. Food is sooooo good. I have nothing bad to say about it. The staff member who looked after us was very quick and attentive. They made our dining experience a very smooth one. My only regret is not taking pictures this last time we went. I almost always include photos with my reviews... so this is just an excuse to go again and post an updated review later! It was for early dinner on mothers day 2023, like around 4pm but still alot of tables and reservation, we were lucky to be seated right away on the reservation table (table was already set up) 4 of us dined in. We ordered 3 galbi and two soups to share. It was right amount! I received complimentary corn cheeses, korean steamed egg/soufflé, seafood korean pancake (honestly, it was not complimentary for everyone i think, pretty much every waiters were my brother's friends/acquaintance) It was perfect quality and quantity, we finished every dishes without any leftover Bill came out higher side but well worth it! Can't stop thinking about Salt Korean BBQ and wishing that it was closer to Center City Philadelphia. Though it's a drive from the city, Salt Korean BBQ is definitely worth the trip out. Not only can you tell the meat is quality, but the service is lovely with terrific attention to detail (e.g., we were a party of 6, so spanned two tables of 4 and 2 grills--we'd planned to cook some meat on one grill and other meat on the other and pass back'n'forth, but they cooked everything for us AND passed portions to the opposite side of the table without us having to ask!), and the bill is quite reasonable! Half our party was early and appreciated that the banchan was waiting for at the table with refills as requested--the spinach was one of my favorite, followed by the kimchi daikon strips, slaw, and regular kimchi. We learned that the fried chicken takes ~25 minutes, so we put in that order while we waited for the rest of our party to arrive. In sum, for a party of 6, we ordered: BBQ: - Marinated Galbi (marinated boneless short rib), so good we got a second round! - Non-marinated Galbi (non-marinated boneless short rib) - Bulgogi (marinated sliced thinly ribeye), so good we got a second round! - Prime Ribeye - Spicy Samgyeopsal (thick sliced pork belly in spicy sauce), our least favorite of the cuts--a little tough Other dishes: - Yang-Nyeom Chicken (fried boneless chicken thigh with spicy sauce), which was some of the best fried chicken I've had! - Jap Chae - Kimchi-Jjigae (spicy kimchi stew with pork, tofu, and assorted vegetables) - Rice (doesn't come with, so be sure to ask if you want some!) - Steamed egg (the best I've ever had--light'n'fluffy and flavorful!) - Cheesy corn (free as a "service") And numerous soju/beer/drinks. Food was sparse. I had an appetizer Octopus salad($19). A lot of lettuce, not much octopus. Octopus was good, but the dressing was not, and pooled at the bottom of the bowl. Main dish was kalbi rice bowl($23). Where do I start? Well the name of the restaurant is salt. Maybe they could use some in the food. It contained rice, shredded carrots, bean sprouts, and other shredded vegetables. Nothing special, the meat was supposed to be the highlight of the dish. But everything was just blah. Not much seasoning and no seasoning condiments on the table (soy sauce, salt or pepper, sesame oil). Flavor was not balanced in either dish, which is probably the most important thing in Korean food. I understand kalbi ( beef rib) is expensive, but 4-5 ounces was not enough. I had 2 beers on tap, and spent $69 before the tip. I usually go to Kim's Korean BBQ on N. 5 th Street in Philly. Much better authentic food. This was more of an American version of Korean food. I'll try it again. Hopefully this was just a one off. But. Was totally underwhelmed. read more

Since it's newly renovated, the restaurant is very clean. Depending on the time you come, the service is good, they provide table side grilling which is convenient. Their non-marinated meat is better than the marinated, in my opinion and they offer various different side dishes (banchan) which is always a place. The restaurant is called "SALT" since they offer 4 different salt for you to eat with your meat which is a pretty cool concept. One dish you need to stay away is their naengmyun. I think the store bought ones taste better than the one they serve here which is a bummer because you always have to finish Korean bbq with naengmyun! read more

As such, it shows much better than the previous restaurant. The individual smoke collectors at each bbq station is a very nice touch. They have a variety of menu options including al la carte and pre-arranged packages. Everything comes with a ton of unlimited sides. They use great cuts of meat but as I already mentioned, the portions are a bit small imo. I also usually love Korean side dishes, however, I couldn't really get into any of the ones here. This has become our favorite place for Korean BBQ and we have practically tried them all in our area. We order the pork set every time, the cuts are very premium and the servers cook them to perfection. The seafood pancake also ranks amongst the best that we've ever had. My 6 year old, who's not easy to please, loves the steamed egg and cheesy corn that come with the set. The ventilation that they have is great too, it sucks up all the smoke so you don't leave smelling like barbecue, like some other places will.
