    Bulgogi Deop Bab
    Delvia W.

Ordered Bulgogi Deop Bab and the beef was not thin. It was chunks. Tender but never had Bulgogi thick like that. Small portion also. The dish was very bland. Description on the Menu set fresh vegetables all it was was big pieces of onions teeny strips of carrots and thin sliced peppers. I had to come home and add spices to the dish. I can make better Bulgogi abd I'm not Korean!!!! The Kimchi wasn't bad. The place is a kiosk inside the Farmers Market so park in the lot. Hours probably aren't later than 6pm. They are on Uber Eats witj higher prices. Hope you have a better experience. *shrugs*

Absolutely incredible... I ordered this meal from Uber Eats, and it arrived freshly prepared and absolutely delicious... it took a little longer than expected to be prepared (15 minutes later than Uber Eats originally predicted), but honestly I feel as though this was a sign that this place is busy and puts effort into preparing their meals.

If Korean Fried Chicken & Wings are your desire, then Chicko Tako in the Market at the Fareway in Chestnut Hill should be high in your list of destinations. Not only do you receive the benefits of excellent double fried cluckers in amazing sauces, but also the added bonus of being in a multiverse street fair community market that includes a brewery/pizza outlet, bakery, cafe, sushi shack, green grocer and butcher. So, you can cobble together the meal of your choice with ease without moving more than 100 feet in any direction, and dine in a common eating area shared by all. Delicious and impressive. My 6 wing plate with sweet & spicy sauce took about 20 minutes to prepare. I was handed a buzzer to alert me when ready. In the meantime I secured a pint of pumpkin ale from Chestnut Hill Brewery as well as a seat at a long table with views overlooking an outdoor dining area. The place was crowded with folks doing more or less the same as me. When my buzzer started vibrating I asked the people next to me to watch my beer while I picked up the wings. They were happy to help me out. The wings were on a beautiful rectangular ceramic plate on top of a tray. They glistened a dark red amber glow from the perfectly pitched sauce covering them. Three small pieces of celery and tiny cup of sour cream completed the meal. Exchanging the buzzer for the tray, I returned to my seat. The six wings were crunchy and meaty enough to sate me. The sauce was indeed both sweet and hot, and twisted my taste buds playfully. The cool, pungent ale was an excellent chaser, cutting through the heaviness of the sauce just enough to enjoy it again with each piece devoured. Chiko Tako has both wings and half/whole cut up birds for sale, and they do primarily takeout from their stand in the market. The people there are friendly and efficient. They know they are a success, yet it has not gone to their heads. Especially in combination with the other possibilities in the market, Chicko Tako is a great place for a street food snack.

This is one of the many tasty places inside the fareway market! They have a decently large variety given that it's a small spot. I wanted to try more than a few things but settled on the mondu and the chicken tacos. Unfortunately they won't mix and match meat in the tacos even though they appear to all be priced the same. The tacos were flavorful but pricey at 2 for over $8. The mondu was also delicious but pricey as well at $9. Overall while not the most affordable, the food was very tasty! Definitely want to try the bibimbap next time.

Chicks tako used to be the best place for Korean fried chicken in the area. I guess they are under new ownership. I've eaten here at least 15 times. 10 for the old 5 for the new. I've gotten the bone in and boneless. The new owners can't get the crispiness of Korean fried chicken. The flavor is there but it's lacking the crisp. Which is disappointing.

chicken wings and bibimbap. so good! especially the wings, so crunchy. cool outdoor seating

This place is amazing! It has a great location because it's in a market like place that's owned by a brewery. You can grab a bite, something to drink, and do your weekly grocery shopping. I mean, who doesnt like beer and chicken wings? There are a lot of places to choose from for food but I was so glad I chose chicko tako. The service is great, they always greet you with warm smiles and are super friendly. The food comes out really fast too. I ordered the garlic chicken wings and bibimbap. The bibimbap had a nice flavor to it and has a lot of vegetables and meat in it! It's really filling. The chicken wings are some of the best I've ever had. The sauce on the wings is to die for and they are so crispy. I love biting into them because they make this delightful crunch sound. I will definitely be back soon and recommend that you try it out too. You will not be sorry.

Chicko Tako is my new addiction. Korean BBQ/stir fry dishes that are making my mouth water as I type this. Located at the front of Market at the Fareway in Chestnut Hill, this is THE spot. I love the Market at the Fareway, and CT has become a staple there. Rice bowl, taco, grilled steak and rice noodles. Everything here is great. The chicken wings are fried and greasy, with amazing sauces. If you live nearby, or even if you don't, put Chico Tako on your list of spots to try!

One of the best wings i have ever had. They bread the wings right in front of you and have homemade unique sauces. We did half garlic and half sweet. I dont know which one i liked more, the breading on the garlic had a nice crunch to it and the sauce for the sweet was delicious and tangy, reminding me of sweet and sour chicken from a Chinese restaurant but of higher quality. I am a wing fanatic and I'm usually the type to still leave some remnants of chicken and skin left, but with these I ate them down to the bone. We also sat outside at one of their picnic benches which has nice scenery for warm weather.

How cool is it to have Chicko Tako next to the neighborhood beer garden! Inotherwords you can have beer in the brewpub & garden and order as well from Chicko Tako for something to eat. Or you can just take out and eat at home. They have about the best Korean chicken wings I have eaten in Philly. They are deep fried to order and the Chicko spicy sauce is awesome. And that's not all - the kimchi is also a killer - as good as I have ever eaten. Staff speak English to varying degrees but who cares if it is somewhat limited when their hands produce such tasty chicken wings and kimchi. Oh and they do offer popular Korean dishes and tacos as well - I just never get past the chicken wings!

The chicken bi bim bap. So yummy!!
    Eliza P.

The bi bim bap was so delicious!! I really recommend it. I got it with chicken. The sauces (spicy and regular) are both good, and the cashier happily let me have sides of both. I will definitely be back to try the tacos!

Bulgogi tacos, Don Go Chu tacos, and boneless spicy chicken.
    Paul P.

A friend and I had the boneless spicy chicken, bulgogi tacos and don go chu tacos. They were all really good. I did wish I had some rice to eat the chicken with but that's just me. The chicken was crispy and the tacos were flavorful. The chefs were really nice and polite and even gave me a free water bottle after I had paid! The seating is food court style but it's all really clean. It's surrounded by other awesome shops in the market off of Germantown Ave so the location is great! I would definitely go again.

Lobsters and crabs were abundant. I learned about this place awhile ago from YouTube of which many gave praises. We frequented many mid level AYCE places like this and we've found that as time goes by, quality degrades with restaurants like this. Now there was a rather long length of time between discovering this place on YouTube and actually visiting this place. I wonder if the praises that were sung about this place were still valid. I would say yes. As previously mentioned, lobsters and crabs were abundant and makes it worth the trip on that alone. As for the other offerings, it was mostly surprisingly good. Don't expect Michelin quality food here. Generally, it's about the quantity BUT the food is pretty good. The sushi/sashimi shocked me a little. AYCE sushi is usually just passable but here, I thought it was pretty good. Everyone in my group loved the quality of the salmon. Other offerings, of which there were many, were pretty good. Standouts were the lamb chops in my opinion. Dessert options wasn't as extensive as the other AYCE places I've frequented but they do the job. Aside from the usual fountain soda options (serves by the restaurant staff) , they had a few fruit drinks and a milk tea option as well as some specialty drinks in a can. Scale 1 to 5. (Keep in mind that this is based on quality you'd expect from a typical AYCE restaurant. Food 5 (large selection of food and that shellfish!) Service 5 (Friendly staff and were pretty efficient in clearing the plates) Cleanliness 4 (Place was well kept. Deducted 1 star due to the stickiness of the floor around our table which reminded me of a movie theater floor... lol) Value 5 One con to point out. The restaurant was rather large yet the bathrooms were small and couldn't accommodate a lot of people at once. Not a huge quibble as the wait wasn't astronomical BUT it did seem odd that the size of the bathroom didn't match the size of the restaurant.

This is an annual dinner held…read morehere in remembrance of a couple who loved celebrating Chinese New Year and would always come here. I've lived in this community for a long time and have driven past this restaurant countless times, but yesterday was actually my first time dining here. Parking: There is a very small parking lot, so be prepared to park on the street. Since it's also in a residential area, street parking was a little challenging. We ended up parking about a block away and walking. We were seated in a private room and enjoyed several courses from the banquet menu. Drink: creamy espresso martini. It was ok. Hors d'oeuvres your own plate: Lobster shrimp dumplings Taro crab cake Firecracker spring roll with lotus root, shiitake, carrot, and jicama Grilled lemongrass chicken The lobster shrimp dumplings were delicious. The taro crab cake was pretty good as well. The firecracker spring roll was also enjoyable. The grilled lemongrass chicken was my least favorite it had a spice that didn't sit well with my palate. Next course family style which I like: Champagne Maine Lobster Lobster sautéed with shrimp, shiitake, and snow peas served with longevity noodles and ginger scallion sauce. The lobster itself was tender, but I'm not a fan of ginger, so that dish wasn't really for me. Plum Duck: Crispy duck served with broccolini and sweet rice with Chinese sausage. I loved the crispy duck skin, but duck has a strong flavor and I just wasn't in the mood for it. The sweet rice was a bit too sticky for my liking. Pinecone Crispy Seabass: A whole crispy seabass with pineapple, onion, edamame, sweet peppers, and gunpowder sauce. This was my favorite dish of the night. The fish was excellent -- crispy, flavorful, and perfectly cooked. I even ate the head! Five Spice Braised Short Rib: Slow cooked with sautéed green apple and gai lan served with noodles. The short rib was fall-off-the-bone tender, though I didn't care much for the noodles. We also had pineapple vegetable fried rice with shiitake, basil, tomato, snow peas, carrot, and egg. That was very good -- I paired it with the fish and duck. Dessert single serve: Lunar walnut cake Triple chocolate mousse Mango crème brûlée Fresh berries which were unripe strawberries so I didn't eat them The mango crème brûlée was my favorite dessert. Lightly sweet. Overall, the restaurant serves Chinese cuisine with a French flair. The service was good and the staff was very attentive. I would definitely return to try more dishes and I will absolutely be back for that crispy seabass again.

As for my mains, I got the Crab & Shrimp Fried Rice and the Sichuan Chicken and Veggies. I was super excited to see Crab Fried Rice on the menu as it's one of my favorite asian dishes. However, the addition of the shrimp seemed to overpower the dish with a very "seafoody, shrimpy" taste to it. Kind of took away from the rice as a whole. The crab was nice though and there were big lump chunks of it. The star definitely was the Sichuan Chicken and Veggies, can't wait to go back for this dish as I loved the sauce, the tender chicken and veggies cooked to perfection as well. Thinking next time I go with Veggie Fried Rice and then the Sichuan Chicken dish for sure. Great atmosphere and aesthetic as well.

We ordered the crispy chicken bao buns, crispy shrimp, general tso soup dumplings, wagyu beef, Korean bbq beef, and hamachi ceviche. We were a group of 3 so one thing that was nice was that our waiter added 1 additional skewer/bao bun for the meals instead of ordering 2 plates of them. Out of all the food we ordered the most delicious were the meats; the wagyu and Korean bbq beef. They were so tender and lightly seasoned because the beef quality itself was good. The Wagyu beef was paired with an apricot dip that was really good. The chilli crisp chicken bao was also good but didn't have much sauce, so it was on the dry side. It was supposed to have chilli so we expected it to be spicy but it was not. We all really liked the crispy shrimp--it was truly crispy. The sauce and the radish paired really nicely with the shrimp as well. The one meal we did not enjoy were the soup dumplings. When we got them they were dripping of raw dough and had no soup in them. The waiter was kind enough to replace them but we still didn't really enjoy them. I did not try the hamachi ceviche because I'm pregnant but it was also a favorite from the group. For dessert we had the mini ice cream cones. The waiter again added an extra one for us. The flavors were chocolate banana and mango. They were good, small bites. One of them melted so quickly and fell on the table and the waiter was really kind and got us a replacement. I did use the bathroom and absolutely hated it. It was unbelievably dark in there and there were weird sounds playing in there. I went in there to make sure I didn't have food in my teeth but couldn't even see. Super inaccessible, hopefully that's something that can be changed. The service overall was clearly excellent! I would recommend this place, especially if you come for the meats. It was surprisingly filling too.

The sashimi 10/10 the food 10/10 the service 10/10 every single time. Also do yourself a favor and request outdoor seating because it's such a vibe. I was living my best life out there until it randomly started raining but my server was sweet enough to bring me inside so the moment was saved lol. Always one of my favorite spots and always such a great experience
