We tried this place for the first time on Saturday and was not impressed at al. They where nice but...We ordered three brisket sandwiches, 10 wings and corn fritters. Total came to over $77 dollars. She said on the phone that the brisket was lean, I asked her what that meant and she she didn't know. What she should have said was the brisket is all fat and to to order a pulled pork or chicken sandwich instead. Which I would have appreciated and would have made us come back a second time. Caught Meat Wagon at Lansdale's First Friday and everything was delicious! The portions are large. Their sauces are all very flavorful and balanced. The meats were juicy. I love this place! It recently opened and I have been wanting to try it for weeks! I picked up a rib platter to go with coleslaw and bake beans. The ribs were absolutely amazing , you can taste the passion for barbecue in every bite! I was impressed with the dry rub , it was so good ! I really liked the sauces I tried too , I can tell the chef likes brown sugar! The hot sauce had brown sugar or molasses in it which was interesting and I didn't like it at first but the second taste made me a fan ! The vinegar sauce was also really good! The coleslaw was awesome! I just thought the beans were alright and would have been better if eaten in instead of taking out. I can't wait to go back and try some other meats! read more

This food truck was at the road Angels car show at the Dublin firehouse, I'm a big fan of sausage peppers and onions, I am a vendor at that place selling auto parts, I sent my son over to get that sandwich he came back and told me they don't have any onions peppers or sauce, why? I tried the sausage, it was drier than the Sahara desert, I went back and asked them for aluminum foil to cover it up and bring it home and bring life back to it, I've never experienced sausage peppers and onions like that, I was told he had no peppers onions or sauce, talk about dropping the ball. My first time eating here. Ordered food to dinner in. Simple ordering process & food was delivered to table. Inside is cozy seating, couple of tables & two long family style seating. Order pulled pork & brisket meats. Good flavor and decent portions. The meats were not dry, on the contrary, were a little wet, more oily than greasy. Also ordered collard greens & baked beans. The greens were not as flavorful as other local bbq places, surprised no meat tidbits were added, just straight greens, just a little tough too. The based beans were good, standard fare. There were only three bbq sauces, not sure what they were, but they were really good flavor. I sample all three with my meats throughout my meal, which I could not finish. Had the pleasure of ordering this mouth watering item at the Trolley Barn Public Market this past Sat. and the service was top notch and pricing super reasonable. Simple, yet jam packed with flavor. Overall a great BBQ place! Pulled pork was good - cornbread was good - waffle fries were good - deviled eggs were just "ok" - couldn't put my finger on it exactly, but I guess the deviled eggs were a bit bland for my taste. The one thing that surprised me though, was the Smores cupcake! That thing was AWESOME! I'm sure it's a seasonal thing, so get one quick! Finally a BBQ spot in the suburbs that delivers on both delicious meats and sides! Now when we crave BBQ, we don't have to travel far or finish our meal feeling just half satisfied. Our ribs fell of the bone. They're served dry so we took home sauces (which were delicious!), but we didn't need them because, well, the dry rub was amazing! Serious side game. Meat wagon bbq recently combined with Stephanie's, as we found out today, and not only offer really good bbq but also a large selection of beers (which we didn't sample) I had the two meat platter: choosing brisket and ribs. I thought the brisket was just a little bit dry, but it came with sauce so it was ok. The ribs were delicious and meaty. My husband also had the two meat platter: brisket & sausage. He seemed to enjoy it but didn't elaborate on taste It was a cool place to hang out, even though today it was empty. I can not recommend enough if you are looking for catering. I used them for a hockey team party of 32 and they were just awesome. They were super responsive from the inquiry, ordering and pickup. Everything you will need was included(even chafing dishes) in the package. We did pulled pork(awesome), chicken(boneless thighs that had every coming back for seconds), potato salad(homemade) and Mac & cheese(kids could not get enough). They also gave us 4 sauces(great mustard bbq) and rolls. They did not cheap out on the portions and we had more than enough. So much food!!! My bf and I always get the family #2 and holy cow! That's a lot of meat! Everything is delicious and their corn bread is magnificent. The fries are outstanding but.. don't get the hush puppies. I've gotten hush puppies and they're always burnt! To the point that they're super hard to bite into. End up throwing them away. I've learned over the years not to try a new eatery within the first few months of opening. The chaos of getting a food team in sync doesn't bode well for the Customer Experience, and often leaves a bad first impression. After several months of receiving ads, flyers, and coupons, from Meat Wagon, I figured it was a good time to sample their BBQ. There are three good BBQ Joints in Lansdale, so this was another choice to be had, locally. I was quite impressed with the menu selection, as well as the "ONLINE" ordering system. I could order whenever I had time, and select a 15 minute window to pick up. Super easy, and I hoped to discover great food, (As most reviews state) and a well-oiled machine ordering and pickup system. I opened an account, and started placing my order late morning, before they opened for the day. Hoping to sample most of the menu, and share the food with several friends, I commenced to load up the "Cart" with one of each starter. As I got to the meats, I could only find Pulled Pork offered by the pound. There was no means to order Ribs, or Brisket. I made several attempts to find them, and eventually gave up. As everyone was ready to eat, the gang ordered lunch elsewhere. After their opening time, I called Meat Wagon, to let them know the Ribs & Brisket were not available on the menu. The person who answered wasn't sure, and stated "They turn off items that they run out of late in the day" Since they were missing even before opening, I assumed they had not run out. I was asked if I wanted to be put on HOLD, in order to see if there were Ribs & Brisket to be sold? I replied that we'd gone somewhere else to eat, and at this point, it doesn't really matter. That's the point of this review- If you spend time and money sending out menus/ ads/ coupons, and announcements that you are selling BBQ, shouldn't EVERYONE in your store know if you're out of two of your four MAIN items, a few minutes after opening? Shouldn't someone (Anyone) be responsible to verify what you have to sell, and "Turn On" any items that were removed from the electronic menu the night before? Why offer the ease of placing orders, picking a time to get your food, when you can't even place an order? Our first impression isn't that the food is great or bad, but is this a serious business, or just a hobby? Waiting a few months for this team to get in sync didn't help, and the "Well Oiled Machine" is to found somewhere else. read more

Got a platter with chicken, ribs, and beef brisket from a food truck. The chicken was okay, not dry but somehow still not the juiciest. The way it was prepared was weird though, kind of in a mashed/shredded way. The brisket was a bit on the drier side and not as juicy or as fatty as I've had at other places. It was also pulled and not sliced. The ribs were the best tasting, but they weren't very meaty and juicy. All in all the flavor was there but the texture wasn't the best I've had. My platter also came with two sides. The cole slaw was decent, but the potato salad was only average. All in all a good meal but not the best I've had.
