After the ridiculous price for brisket I had high expectations, but it was dry and not as tender as I'm used to. The ribs were better, but didn't even have the back membrane removed (odd). We found this place on accident and when we entered it smelled and looked promising. My husband got pulled pork and I wanted to try brisket and chicken. Brisket had nice bbq ring however it was so dry and hard, the chicken boneless thighs were also very dry. We were both disappointed and maybe the meats were dry and hard because they tasted reheated. Brisket is a meat that's hard to screw up and they did. My husband said pulled pork was just ok. We ordered baked beans that were too sweet, street corn that looked and tasted like it was microwaved to heat it back up, the mashed potatoes weren't even good. We know our BBQ and can honestly say we were very disappointed in this place. Staff was super friendly we spend almost $45 on our food. We had a food truck for a neighborhood development and everything was delicious. There were 50+ families that ordered and they were able to handle the volume! We had a family meal special that came with several choices, but we picked the pulled pork and beef brisket, with sides: Mac & cheese, baked bean, collared greens, and potato salad, and it came with a 2 liter, corn bread, and sauces. I added coke slaw and the candied bacon. Plenty of food for 4 of us and we had leftovers. read more

Meat Wagon just finished a food truck catering event for our family gathering/birthday party. They did an amazing job.... very accommodating during these COVID times, excellent service, mouth watering barbecue food, fun environment with the truck. I cannot say enough. This place is a total rip off. I can see charging more for food truck items however we checked out the brick and mortar space. The platter comes with 2 ribs and the sides are less than tasty. Mac and cheese has no taste. I'll stick with Jessie's they offer quality and reasonable prices. read more

Great place!!! I have been looking for a place that is open on Sundays since Jesse's is closed on Sundays and we figured we'd try this out. Wow, the pulled pork and the pulled chicken is better than Jesse's too! That's a tall order too. Oh and the sides are awesome too. Super friendly staff and great food. Probably closer to 3.5 stars but I like to round up. The bbq is good, it's edible, but a little pricey. The brisket is pretty tender, but the portion was a little weak, the meat was cut super thin. Pulled pork was pretty good! Really really tender. The ribs weren't my fav. It was not fall off the bone like I would like. Kiel basa was pretty standard. Tots were a1, super crispy. Mac was a little mushy for my liking, it wasn't bad. Meat wagon lost some points with their sauces. Their spicy and reg bbq was very basic, tasted like that KC master piece bbq sauce u get in the bottles at the store. I was not a big fan, would rather have some sweet baby rays. read more

I have to say that my husband and I thought we had found our "go to" for BBQ ribs. We have been to the Quakertown place several times and have always been so pleased. The ribs were fall off the bone. Well I went again on Friday 2/11 and ordered our usual. It was about 5:00 pm. When I got it home and we sat down to eat, we were soooooo disappointed. The ribs were totally dry and tough. The Mexican Street Corn was very bland, not like we'd had before. Also ordered the cole slaw and onion straws. There were two women working there that I hadn't seen before and it was not crazy busy. I don't know what happened. Maybe the ribs were sitting all day? Not sure, but anyway now I'm hesitant to go back because I don't want the same experience again, especially for the $$$ read more

I just have to say Nick and his crew are fabulous and the food is outstanding! My (now) husband and I met Nick after researching food truck vendors in our area for our wedding. We went to an intimate tasting and sampled all of the awesome food our guests would be enjoying and new right then they were the perfect fit for our laid-back, picnic wedding. Nick is so accommodating. Anything you need, he gets it done! We had waitered and stationary hors d'ouvres (ummmm, hello, candied bacon?!) a full buffet complete with cornbread and salad, and he even prepared meals for our vegetarian/vegan guests. Friends and family will not stop gushing about the food and trust me. As the bride and groom, we made sure to take a minute and dig in too! I've tried just about it all since they opened their restaurant in July! You can tell that they make everything to perfection. Slowly smoked in their special dry rubs. You don't even need to add sauce it's that good. (And if you need more sauce they have 4 amazing sauces. Sweet BBQ, Hot BBQ, Carolina Vinegar, and Tangy Mustard. They just catered a wedding I went to and the food was unbelievable! Producing mass amounts of food can be tough but everything was flavorful, none of the meat dry and there was plenty. My favorite thing they made was called "the fatty" and it was sausage wrapped around mac n cheese and was one of my favorite bites of food in my life. My office does "Food Truck Friday" through the whole summer and the Meat Wagon is the only truck to make 2 trips in the same season. It's a big hit! I always go for pulled pork at a BBQ place and this sandwich doesn't disappoint. The meat was tender and delicious. I also enjoyed (and used a hearty amount of) the house BBQ sauce. They provide a sweet classic sauce and a vinegar based option. I wish that I had been given more coleslaw for $3, but overall the price points match most other food trucks in the area. My husband and I were really excited to try this place as we love bbq and supporting local business. This was a sadly disappointing experience. I ordered a half rack of ribs (which was $16 and didn't come with sides) and my husband got the brisket. We both felt that the meats were really dry and severely lacked flavor. Honestly, one of the most boring bbq experiences we have EVER had. Bbq should be packed with flavor and everything was under seasoned. I had to add a whole packet of salt to my mashed potatoes. Also, my husband pulled a piece of a liner bag out of his mouth from the mac and cheese; when I told the kid working he was incredibly apologetic but the manager or owner didn't seem too concerned about the choking hazard. As people who have worked in the food industry we are pretty understanding but the response seemed a bit lacking. Overall just a poor experience but we may give them another try down the line to see if things get better. read more

Very good BBQ that's also reasonably priced. We tried a lot of menu items. Ribs, brisket and wings were great as were the onion petal appetizer, Mac and cheese and waffle fries sides and the cornbread. Smoke ring and smoke flavor in the ribs and brisket was perfect and the meats had the perfect bite. The kielbasa and potato salad were decent just not as good as everything else we ordered. My grandson loves BBQ so, of course, we had to try the new place out during our visit with them. We ordered a bunch of stuff off the menu so that we could compare to our favorite BBQ joints. We were not disappointed, the Pulled Pork and Brisket meats were cooked well, seasoned perfectly and delicious. The ribs were excellent, the meat tender & juicy, nearly fell off the bone. TLDR: The food is phenomenal and Nick, the owner, is a great guy with a true passion and talent for BBQ. I cannot say enough positive things about Nick and the Meat Wagon. We booked the Meat Wagon for our wedding because it was impossible not to after tasting the Ribs and his assortment of tasty and creative appetizers. All the way leading up to the wedding, Nick helped us with the event and made the entire process less stressful. We called him a few days before the wedding because we needed 250 lbs of ice and he had no problem bringing that. Great service. The wedding itself was better than the tasting and better than I could have imagined. He needed almost no help or supervision and was able to do a flawless job entertaining our guests during the cocktail hour. It seemed like an endless supply of food and our guests raved about the service. Then came the dinner which was soooo good. I've never heard so many positive comments about the food at a wedding and I have to agree that it was awesome. He even gave my cousin a bottle of his custom carolina bbq sauce to take home and one of our guests, he gave an entire platter of his sausage fatties to take home because she missed them during the cocktail hour. Oh, did I also mention that the meat wagon took the time to make a vegetarian dish for my grandfather and 2 other guests (which they also said was great), and he made special preparations to keep certain items gluten free and label them as such for another guest. Nick himself is just a great guy. He has a true passion and talent for his food and is working his ass off to be the best he can be. I love the guy and the food. Definitely check it out. read more

We just used the Meat Wagon for our corporate event, and it was fantastic! They catered for about 115 employees, who were all very satisfied. No one had any room for seconds. The staff was very friendly and accommodating. This was some of the best BBQ I've ever had. They brisket, ribs and chicken were perfectly cooked, and didn't need a ton of sauce to make them tasty. Their sides were amazing as well. It was a very cool idea having a food truck come.
