We planned ahead this week and were able to secure a coveted reservation at Hachi. This place is always packed, and reservations can be tough to get within just a few days, so plan ahead. We ate on Friday April 3, 2026. Another great meal! We started with a ginger salad and kani seaweed salad. We enjoyed a few selections for our main. We ordered a bunch of rolls and sashimi. But I would like to note that Chirashi bowl is a very big serving. The sashimi was very fresh and portions were big. For dessert, we tried the Banana tempura and it was really good and unforgettable. The service was really fast and servers were friendly. We came in at 6pm (monday) and were able to sit right away without reservation. But by 7pm, the restaurant was full. So make sure to make a reservation. It was freezing cold in the restaurant. Not an enjoyable or pleasant dining experience. The food is okay but VERY PRICEY especially for the meager portions you get. They are really reaching here on the prices for a shopping center joint. Service is poor to mid, they never gave me a refill on my warm drink. Much nicer and more elevated experience if you go to OOKA and actually enjoy your time dining in. This place may be fine for takeout but honestly, not with these outrageous prices. This place is very busy and very small, it's way too small and only seats about 20 people. They do a tremendous take out business and it is very good. I like the maki rolls, they were a nice size and the fish was fresh and delicious. The hibachi was a better choice then the bento box , the bento box was just ok. My wife said the dipping sauce for the dumplings was terrible, watered down and not good . The teriyaki chicken was good but nothing spectacular. We had an amazing meal here this weekend. Definitely make reservations if you come on the weekend--the restaurant was packed and only our table was available when we got there. It's byob too! Apps: King crab croquettes: comes with 4 croquettes. Great flavor, but I could barely taste the crab Seafood pancake: this was huge and filled with seafood! Very good. Steamed bun: we chose pork belly as our protein. You get two good-sized buns. My husband loved this one! I liked it too. Sushi rolls: Crispy spicy roll with tuna: so yummy! This place is cooked. Service is trash. No greeting, no friendly chat. Just arm gesture to follow to the sushi bar (only seating available according to the hostess in the front with glasses). After taking our seats, the waitress who seated us whome' again, no greetings, zero communication besides "get you drink?" I asked what beverages were available only to get another arm gesture with her finger pointing to the hostess with glasses at the front of their restaurant (I have no idea what she was gesturing to or why she was pointing to the other hostess?) I ordered a hot tea as well as a sashimi entree. After the tea arrived, I went up to use the restroom, in which there was an employee waiting in line so I waited behind him. A man in a business suit emerged from the restroom after a few awkward minutes of waiting with the employee who had his nose glued down into his cell phone the entire time. When the employee finally emerged and I entered the restroom it was filthy. At this point I fully lost my appetite. Returned to my seat, finished my tea and waited. Ten minutes goes by at least, no check'in from the waitress even yet. After waiting several more minutes for another beverage, anything... (they don't even provide water.. nothing) I finally just stood up walked to the front and told hostess that I don't feel welcome here and I'd either like my order to go, or if possible , I'd like to just leave.. All the employees started bickering as I explained the lack of service, the fact that the waitress never even bothered to greet us, let alone even check on us, or refill our beverages, or provide any service what'so'ever..... I made mention of the filthy restroom as well. Feces literally all over the toilet. Water, wet paper towels, trash all over. You know how you can imagine a busy truckstop bathroom would look like? Well how about a washed up sushi restaurant where the owner (man in the business suit) can't be bothered to clean his own bathroom, nor does he bother to pay his employees to do it for him... When the owner and employees can't be bothered to keep their restroom at least presentable on a level that would even be considered average, (which they share with the customers...) that is all we need to know. What a sloppy disgusting bowl of murky dog-water. Hach'iiiiiiii you are a disgrace to Chalfont. I have to say, the service of this past evening was one of the worst I have ever experienced. I am not sure if this was just due to our appearance in age, but we were harassed many times that we needed to hurry, order and eat to make the table available for another reservation. Extremely uncomfortable, unprofessional and rude. I actually had to ask them to stop asking us to order as we had well over an hour before they wanted us out of this table.
