Went with the buffet here. You can order à la carte but must specifically request. Probably not a place I would personally have chosen because I try to avoid buffets and the name sounds corny. The food here is good for a buffet. It was enjoyable. I forgot that crab means imitation crab and I prefer real crab but don't expect that haha. The hibachi flavorings of the shrimp are so good and even though the portion of fried udon noodles was "small", it is a buffet and you can ask for more. This buffet is not self-serving and the food is served to you. They are fairly quick with the food and it is an enjoyable experience. The restaurant has a good operation and the people here work hard and are very friendly. There is something about the slight lack of quality here that I can't put my finger on but it isn't a big deal to me because you know you're entering a place primarily geared toward the buffet, what they offer, they do well, , and the price is reasonable as well. Most of the complainers I think are expecting too much and need to save up and probably pay more elsewhere for certain grade of sushi that you can sense. At least one review mentions the freshness. I didn't think of this until reading that. That is what helps the quality of this food here. Thanks again to the hard working staff to keep preparing and bringing stuff out instead of self serve. It is more work but at least the quality is there for the customer and it is also more sustainable for our world. Also works well with post pandemic "idealism" for buffet style. Perfect experience! What a terrific price with incredible staff. Very polite and accommodating despite the fact that they were non-stop packed while we ate and before and after we left. I'm not exaggerating, every table was filled the whole time. This team is probably the best staff of any restaurant I've ever been to. I haven't seen any restaurant this busy and with the same energy as this staff. The restaurant was quaint and had lots of fun decorations. I was gladly surprise coming to this restaurant, the AYCE includes literally all the food menu... The appetizers, the cooked food and makis were really good, the quality of preparation and taste are good. If I would think something they can improve is the amount of rice in the makis, too much. Something that I was very happy about was the time they take too bring you food, it's not like they are trying to waste your time... They bring it ASAP. You can notice that the food is fresh and prepared when you ordered it. The service was very friendly and patience, the waitress would come often to ask if we need something else to order. It's a very good lunch deal for AYCE, about $18.99 per person on a weekday. I mainly ordered the sushi items and the quality was fine. Moreover, the food you order arrives very quickly. This was hands down the best AYCE lunch you can get in this area. For $18.99 on weekdays, it's quite the deal. On the weekend it's $26.99. It's a bit far but well worth it. What I love about this restaurant is not only do they have sushi and non-sushi food, but the sushi is made as you order, as opposed to having food sit out on the plate for hours waiting to be taken up. The selection is pretty good too. For sushi, you have all the essential pieces - tuna, salmon, shrimp etc.). It's served as nigiri however. If you want it served as sashimi, there's an additional $2.50 charge per plate of 3 slices of sashimi. As for non-sushi items, you have typical Chinese-American food (General Tao's chicken, sesame chicken, teriyaki shrimp). However, their Hibachi items are good too. Definitely order the Hibachi New York Strip Steak, which you can ask to be cooked medium rare. The service has been pretty attentive when I went there, though sometimes they can get pretty busy. Huge menu selection to choose from which not only includes sushi rolls but apps and salads and soups and noddle and rice etc. Everything made to order which is great and all tastes fresh and great quality.
