Dinner Bento Box - Salmon Teriyaki
    Jazzmin L.

You really can't go wrong with Sushi House's bento boxes if you're an indecisive eater. I'm one of those people who pores over menus and stresses about making the wrong choice (i just want to try everything!). You don't have to worry about that here, though - just choose a bento box or one of Sushi Houses other combo specials and you feel like you're getting a taste of the menu at an awesome price. I've been here twice, once for takeout and once for dine-in. Both times, I got a smattering of items - tempura, salad, a protein, miso soup, rolls, even shumai! And unlike some places that cut corners on combos, every item that came out on my bento box or combo plate was fresh and delicious. The salmon was well cooked and super tasty, the tempura was crispy and light. Even the California rolls were decently filled with avocado and surimi - not overflowing with rice or cucumber filler. Everything was the right temp too - either piping hot or nice and cold, so nothing was waiting around under a heat lamp or getting warm on a counter while everything was put together. My eat in experience was also great, really wonderful service and super clean and quick (without feeling rushed). Would love to come here with a group to get even more of a taste of the menu. This has definitely been my favorite sushi spot in the area for both value and quality!

This place finally opened back up for dine-in! I've been ordering take out for almost 3 years now (when it was takeout only) so this was my first time eating in-house and my fexpectations honestly weren't that high but I was very pleasantly surprised. For the prices you'd think the sushi can't be that great quality, No, it's not Nobu quality but it's still VERY good and the sashimi portions are huge. They have a larger than normal vegetarian sushi selection as well. They have a lot of noodle, rice, and other Cooked food options that I'd be interested in trying next time.

It's cheaper than some other sushi places for the same quality of sushi, so that is good. Actually, the sushi tasted pretty decent! There were a variety of different types of rolls. I try to get the ones with salmon, which I wanted more of, and it was decent. Also, even though the prices were more affordable, the place looked nice inside. It wasn't dirty and looked like a typical sushi restaurant. I don't think they use the powder wasabi which was good. They used to label the sushi "half off" so it was cheaper but I think it's better that they took that sign down but kept relatively the same prices because it feels less like we're eating discounted sushi.

Like others have said, it's hard to beat Sushi House. It's genuinely baffling to me how they keep the prices so low yet the quality never dips. I always get shrimp tempura and the rolls are big and filled with a hefty serving of shrimp. Everything tastes fresh and it's a pretty relaxing atmosphere inside. I always drive out of the way to go here because the value is unbeatable.

Literally the best sushi I've ever eaten in my entire life. I'm not kidding! I've been to many sushi places but this place tops them all. Super fresh, very friendly staff, and delicious food! I've had tuna roll, sweet potato roll, salad, vegetable fried rice, pink lady roll, spicy tuna roll, everything is sooo good. Please try this place, whether you're local or just in the area for a few days, it won't disappoint! I come here every so often and I love it.

Taste decent! BUT,!!! Appetizer calamari was not worth of $7.99?!? Does not look like the picture in the menu at all. Taste good but it's like a dollar per piece??!!? I wouldnt order it next time.

Hands down one of the BEST sushi spots at a fraction of the cost!! It's clean, pleasant staff, fast service (less than 10mins), and spectacular food! Hidden secret in Willow G UPDATE: Clearly after my review I became a regular customer. Now after having visited here a few months, prices have increased significantly. It use to cost $1 for adding spicy tuna to my pink lady roll now has increased to $3. Yes $3 is not a a significant cost but the principal does matter. I overheard another customer being charged a dollar for spicy mayo! $1 for mayo are you serious?!?! To compound they reduced the amount of food offered. A nice hidden inexpensive spot for sushi is no longer in existence! Stay tuned as I will find another spot for us!

This is easily my favorite sushi spot. The place is small and cozy. The service is always very quick and fast. The rolls are very tasty and their wasabi tastes better than your average one. What I really like about their rolls are that they don't use excessive rice unlike a lot of other places. My favorite rolls are the Pink Lady, Tamago, and Xmas. Their beef negamaki and aged tofu are great appetizers. The price is very good too! It's literally half the price you would normally pay for sushi. I highly recommend giving this place a shot

    Lunchtime sushi for under $20!

Not bad Sushi for the prices that it is advertised at. I had two different rolls & a Coke for under $20 before tip, which I found to be very reasonable when you consider Philadelphia area food prices. Seating here is limited, so if you get to this place early and get a booth, consider yourself fortunate. My expectations were low coming in, yet was exceeded when it came to the food presentation and quality. Its really hard to mess up sushi, yet you would be surprised at the locations that don't know how to make a tight roll. There is nothing more annoying than a loose sushi roll, in that it falls apart once your fork touches it. Not the case here. Service was fine. The male server didn't have a command of the English language, so I gave him the benefit of the doubt and just ordered two rolls that were simple. There wasn't anything that was suggested when it came to lunch Bento Box specials, but that's what Yelp and other sites are for.

$19.03 regular sushi tray. This is the same tray Whole Foods uses to serve their 10 piece sushi item.

Obscure and in the strip mall on 63. I purchased the Regular Sushi from the menu. Salad was good with the standard ginger style dressing. Soup, didn't try. Sushi, 8 small pieces of sushi ( 2 each of salmon, tuna, mackerel and one other. Average, with not regular wasabi as it was a light green. Probably from a powder. No distinctive wasabi taste or punch, rather bland. Sushi was not properly cut in sushi style, but rough, with extraneous meat hanging on side. Most of it tasted average with some of the regular sushi pieces tough and thicker than normal. I've been eating sushi for the past 40+ years and have had it in Japan, Europe and the West Coast of the United States. Here in Ambler, I've been spoiled by Sushi Hatsu, but they don't be open until May 2022. I figured I'd give this place on an off day to see if their product is as fresh on Sunday as it is on a Friday. It wasn't worth the almost $20, and soy wasn't included. In my opinion, not worth it. A better option would be Tokai or when it opens Sushi Hatsu. Sushi Vic used to be good, but since they have new owners, their quality has gone down, while prices went up.

Food was okay, take out only, indoor dining closed for two years. It was a lot better before Covid. Sushi shrunk, value is lower.

My personal favorites include the salmon and white tuna sashimi. I also enjoy the tiger roll and the general Tso chicken. Prices are cheaper on Tuesday-Thursday, and about $30 between Friday-Sunday. The service is very quick, and the owner is always super friendly with a smile on her face. I also appreciate that it is BYOB. Lastly this is a great place for groups, but just be sure to give them a call in advance. Many people also order takeout or a la carte from this place if AYCE is not your preference.

We visit at least once or twice a month--that's how much we enjoy it. The weekday AYCE deals are especially great. Service can depend on when you go; it's usually attentive, but on weekends or during popular weekday AYCE times, it may take a bit longer to be attended to due to how busy it gets. Other than that, we haven't had any issues. The food is consistently good, and the atmosphere is standard--perfect if you're looking for a casual place to eat.
