    Ginger salad and seaweed salad
    Leah N.

Cannot say enough FANTASTIC things about this place. To start, we got the ginger salad to share and it was the best I've ever had, loved how it had more than just lettuce and included mango, peppers, cucumber, etc. and the dressing was 10/10. Also ordered a seaweed salad which was super yummy. If we couldn't get enough, also ordered spring rolls which were delicious and fried wonderfully. The miso soup was so delicious too, perfectly spiced and had lots of tofu. Then for the entree I ordered the rainbow roll, and it tasted so fresh! The BEST part was the teriyaki tofu. Death row meal. Lightly fried and spiced to perfection. Finally, the service was great and our waiter Cameron was super attentive and nice to offer suggestions on what to order. Can't wait to come again!!

Tonight was my third time dining at Asahi and I will be returning! It is never crowded which must mean not enough people know about this hidden gem. The food is always delicious and the staff is great. One of the chefs has come out to personally check on our meals and offer fresh, in-house pickled vegetables each time I've dined there. Chatting with her is so nice. She has even cooked at the White House! I recommend the seafood entrees and noodle dishes. They have been beautifully prepared and cooked perfectly. They are still waiting on their liquor license but are BYOB which is a plus!!

New Japanese restaurant in Lansdale. Stopped for lunch. Ordered the teriyaki bento box. So much food for only $15. Bomb too! Shared fried shrimp dumpling apps with gf. Ordered shrimp tempura roll to go for my man. He said it was rlly good. I'll be coming back soon to try more dishes.

Hwe Dup Bap aka Korean style Chirashi failure

My husband and I drove 40 minutes looking for some good sushi. After reading the reviews we've decided to give this place a try. We are foodies and have tried many different sushi restaurants all throughout US. Our palate has a certain expectation on sushi and unfortunately this restaurant is below grade. Even below average supermarket grade. The hwe dup bap you see on the pic is 30 percent drained in liquidity diluted hot sauce paste . I believe this was to mask the not so fresh fish. My husband ordered the teriyaki salmon and the teriyaki sauce was very unusual as well. Too much soy sauce and not sweet enough to enhance the cooked fish. I have it one star because the server seemed pleasant. As for the food...I hope I don't encounter any hershey squirts. (diarrhea) By the way, even their simple miso soup was tasteless. Almost like they used water instead of dashi for soup base. Just a horrible experience!

    Empty bento box.

Their Kitchen closes at 8:49pm; it does not close at 10pm. Beware. Make other plans. Good luck.

I forgot that crab means imitation crab and I prefer real crab but don't expect that haha. The hibachi flavorings of the shrimp are so good and even though the portion of fried udon noodles was "small", it is a buffet and you can ask for more. This buffet is not self-serving and the food is served to you. They are fairly quick with the food and it is an enjoyable experience. The restaurant has a good operation and the people here work hard and are very friendly. There is something about the slight lack of quality here that I can't put my finger on but it isn't a big deal to me because you know you're entering a place primarily geared toward the buffet, what they offer, they do well, , and the price is reasonable as well. Most of the complainers I think are expecting too much and need to save up and probably pay more elsewhere for certain grade of sushi that you can sense. At least one review mentions the freshness. I didn't think of this until reading that. That is what helps the quality of this food here. Thanks again to the hard working staff to keep preparing and bringing stuff out instead of self serve. It is more work but at least the quality is there for the customer and it is also more sustainable for our world. Also works well with post pandemic "idealism" for buffet style. To add, the waitress was nice enough to split the check up for 5 different people and we didn't mention until after we finished eating. Thank you thank you thank you! The restaurant is kept clean.

The specialty roles are not super eclectic, they are rather basic. But they are decent. The menu is vast and everything comes out so quickly. Service is more than attentive.

The desserts were also, like the appetizers just very pre made chain type of food. They were good desserts sure, just underwhelming and boring. I gotta say tho their whipped cream is strangely different and delicious! As for the service that was not good. There was a long wait of people but we had a reservation and got sat within 3 minutes. hostesses definitely were confused and could have used some help. The atmosphere is lovely and it's such a beautifully designed restaurant. It took around 15 minutes before we even got greeted by our server and he just kept going round to other tables after taking our order instead of immediately putting it into the computer. After her greeted us we ordered drinks and he came back without drinks asking for our appetizer order so we put that in and it came out 5 minutes later... we still had no drinks on our table and appetizers came out first... not great. food runners just brought everything out and no one ever really checked to ask if everything was good. took a long time to get appetizer olates removed and even longer to longer to get our servers attention to order rolls. eventually we ordered and it took 25+ minutes for food to come out. The rolls were good yes but we were over it by then. A century later after hunting someone down we were able to order dessert and again took a while to come out and took even longer to get the check. the server was nice but there was only like 2 servers on a Saturday night so i think if they had more servers the whole meal would have been great.

The wait staff were so nice and welcoming. The restaurant itself is quite lovely. The seating along the side wall is pretty cozy so the diner next to you isn't too far away. There were people who didn't know each other talking to each other about the food and so many other things. It was quite endearing. Now, on to the food. We started with the Tom Yum Soup and Peking Duck Roti Wraps. I never had Tom Yum Soup but I will for sure get it again (hopefully it's this good elsewhere). The tang and spice of the soup is so good and the shrimp were cooked perfectly. I absolutely loved it! The Duck Roti wraps also very tasty. What a creative blending of cuisine. For our entrees we had the Basil Fried Rice and the Panang Curry. The rice was nice and moist, rice cooked perfectly and so flavorful. The Panang Curry was spectacular! The creaminess, sweetness and depth of flavors is just so good. I wish this place wasn't so far because I definitely would be back a lot. I highly recommend this restaurant!
